Great low end at close range...although folded horn bass cabs throw extreme lows the furthest. They usually have an 18" speaker (buried deep inside the cabinet) and a huge mouth port that is actually the end of the horn.

These things are made to throw the lows much further then any typical cab (bass reflex),of course these are big,heavy and you have to back up 20 or more ft. to get the full potential however If you like Cerwin's take a look at the EL-36 folded horn (I think about $600 each)
