third world countries used them as fighter planes because of the cheapness during, WW1 and WW2 but North America, Mexico, China, Japan, you know the well know army used them as trainer planes to train piliots before flying in standard fighter planes.
What a bunch of jealous nuts! You take the time to comment on a guy wearing his helmet and mask? What the hell is wrong with people? If a man wants to enjoy the full flavor and experience of the T-28, what's wrong with that? You could wear jeans and a baseball cap flying the space shuttle cowboy! Enjoy the great video of a guy and his T-28. Just so you know, I fly my simulator in my underwear, is that wrong? kick ass pazzosev!
Hey, when you go and buy a $250,000.00 war bird. what do you wear, Jeans? Tshirt? Suit and tie? It's a lot of fun to dress the part. We dont drive this thing to work, we have fun in it. I wear a flight helmet when I fly, with CEP ear plugs, very quite and safe. I know im not going to get a concusion if we have a bad landing. yes I wear nomex. yea make fun of of us. but you got to admit.... pretty cool. kids look at us and wave. you can wear jeans and a T-shirt in your Piper Tomahawk...
Sweet, 1962, my first carrier landing in a T-28C aboard USS Antietam....great just being on the flight line when one taxied by...kapoketa kapoketa....
What memories of getting checked out in a T-28B in 1986. What a blast to fly the T-28. I miss it!
I've flown them in T-shirt and shorts with a DC headset to full nomex, helmet and boots. Did the same flying a B-25 and BT-13.

The T-28 is Notorious for getting Carbon Monoxide in the cockpit. If the guy chooses to wear an oxygen mask while flying, so be it.

Beautiful to fly, almost as good to hear flying by. I only feel bad about making small children cry on startup, and about the 100gph in the circuit

Why the oxygen mask. Looks stupid when the passenger is just wearing a head set. LOL. Funny. I flew the T-28 in a ball cap and blue jeans.
