  • parlament.... wtf.. :D :D crazy

  • This is Bratislava?capital city??? omg xD xD

  • certainly not as shown in eurotrip!

  • I was with my friends in Vienna this autumn. We also visited this great city where Finland won ice hockey WC 2011. I liked the town. The center has a spirit of year 1700. Greetings from Finland.

  • POZSONY. Not Bratislava. wikipedia:

"Before World War I, the city had 42% German, 41% Hungarian and 15% Slovak population (1910 census)."

So this was also stolen, be proud for it!

  • @TheCsabika78 no, it was 52% Jews, 30% Hungarians, 15% Slovaks, the rest gypsies and others. Yes, it was stolen by criminal communists who committed genocide on half a million of Hungarians in Czechoslovakia after the second world war.

  • Does someone know Samuel friedrich Capricornus, a Curch Music Cantor who lived from Dez.1628 - 1665. he lived between 1650/52 or later 7 years in Pressburg and was in his time famous like J.S Bach, Rosenmüller, etc.

  • Later SFCapricornus was in Stuttgart in the Hof court orchestra leader, in time of Duc Herzog Christoph from Württemberg. In Pressburg he componed a lot of Music, like Heinrichschütz and Johann Herman Schein. We have few notes of his work, as he was 3 years as teacher in my town Reutlingen from 1646-1649 *born in Jungbutzlau is standing in our protocoll from the time he bekome teacher work, together with his friend Johann Kusser, they came from Strassburg. .

  • @Haselmaus47 After the 3 years in Reutlingen, one of the first luther protestant Towns he went to Wien Vienna to Frohberger his student Musik Proffessor

  • I love Bratislava. I had the best weekend ever there! Beautiful and fun.

  • Milujem Ťa, Bratislava! Slovan 4ever!

  • I love this city! This was one of the most beautiful hungarian city's. Was? Still one of them! The original name of this city in hungarian language is called: POZSONY!

  • @nemesmadafaka looser :D

  • hm I personally think that both cities, Prague and Bratislava are dirty :D I can see youre from Denmark, dont except clean cities like it is Scandinavian countries or in Germany, infortunatelly :)

  • WOW is it just me, or is this city much more clean than prauge in CZ?

  • Curious. Is English required in school?

  • @committeesq yes

  • nice!

  • my brother just went there today to stay for a year :o

  • I traveled back and forth to SK to be with her and it was fantastic. She came to NZ to be with me once I eventually came back home.Unfortunately it didnt work out for us.

My feelings towards SK are strong.I love this country with all of my heart and miss it sincerely.I will return there again one day.I hope it hasnt changed much. One thing I loved about SK was its reasonably untouched tourist position.Sadly I feel this may now be different. Beautiful Beautiful Slovakia.I miss you xx

  • First went to Slovakia in 93 to visit a friend.I ended up falling in love with a beautiful Slovak girl.I was only 19.We tried to keep it going after I returned to New Zealand but alas we were just too young and in hindsight the outcome was inevitable.I still have a big soft spot for her.I traveled back to SK again in 97 as part of my 2 year working holiday abroad.I once again met a girl and lived there for a few months before needing to head to England to start work.

  • lovely city, I would like to visit again :)

    greetings from Brazil

  • Bratislava is on my trip list for this summer.

    Greetings from Bucharest.

  • Some very nice shots of a very interesting city. Well done.

  • It is Pozsony!

  • I am Polish and I have been to Bratislava. I love Slovakia! The people are nice there and the girls are gorgeous. Wish to go there again some day.

  • moc krásné město Bratislava ....zdraví vás český bratr:)

  • I have visited Bratislava, my advice to anyone planning on visiting is to just spend an afternoon there. It is very small, i arrived there 3 days prior to my flight home to England after travelling in Eastern Europe. It is more akin to a town than a city, moreover a capital city. It is pretty, but - and i dont want to hurt any Slovaks feelings by saying this- boring as hell. There is no buzz there at all. I found it to be more expensive than i had predicted, probably due to adopting the euro.

  • Mohla by som si skopírovať toto video do jednej práce?

  • Well done!

I always enjoy visiting Bratislava that we call Pozsony in our language. It's a pitty that the old synagogue and lots of other monuments, such as the beautiful Maria Theresa sculpture, were destroyed by the Czechs in 1918 and by the communists later on. The public transportation should be modernized, otherwise it's a nice city: neither big nor too small.

  • @Euriel1 Maria Theresia monument is comming back main architect of Bratislava city now deciding where to place that statue.

  • @streetway00 Thanks, this is a very good news!

  • Bratislava is a beautiful city with friendly people and nice. I would like to one day buy a house and live in the city. I love Slovakia! Greetings from Brazil!

  • I love Pozsony!!And this Hungarian city!

  • @tasvezer lol you Magyars are very strange nation. is any thing what is not your?? lol you tube magyars make me laugh. I like to read your comments after work, sometimes is better than watch comedy in telly. nice city your Budapest, i have been there twice with my friends from south of Slovakia. I don't really like the way your politic is going, but normal people cant do anything. my magyar friends are not very happy with that too, cos your hate is not giving then anything.

  • Hey, does anyone know how much money i need to be in Bratislava one month? Is Bratislava too expensive? Thanks

  • @djtiesto2222 its awful fucking dear... fuck it..

  • bohužel jsem již Ostravou několikrát projížděl

  • @myfatproductions said the piss-poor excuse for humanity.

  • @myfatproductions FUCK AWAY OFF YOU CHEECKY WEE CUNT!!!

  • "Capital city of slovakia" an original Hunarian city and the name of it: POZSONY! I love this Hungarian city!

  • @DaireBoldizsar :D:D:D cisty kokot :D

  • @monkooo ty chuju zlamany !!!!

  • @DaireBoldizsar an original it is some prehistorical settlement then it was fortificated settlement of many nations without names then it was celtic-roman oppidum then longobardian oppidum then it was probably centre of Samos empire after this it was part of system of slavic fortifications with name Braslavepurch (a.d. 907) and then several centuries later it was named Pozsony. it would be nice if you stopped to think that everything in Cent. Europe revolved around Hungarians because its funny

  • i love this town....i was there in 2009 and i work to built Eurovea

  • wow :) so nice

    everything is priettier than Warsaw

  • @olekman12 Warsaw and Bratislava are two entirely

different cities. Warsaw is a "businessman's town",

and the service there is incredible, along with the

huge mega-malls. Bratislava is a smaller, "Olde Eur-

ope" city. Both are great in their own way.

  • Jaroslav Halak is from Bratislava

  • city reminds me of movie called Hostel ...DAMN SCARY !

  • Clever video. Only because it puts it's best foot forward by concentrating on the charms of the old town. Strange they should dwell so much on the Danube. It's waters here are murky to say the least - unlike in Budapest where they are clean, clear and bluer than blue. Why not show the real Bratislava - the new city with it's dirty, unkempt and ugly buildings. I went here for three days as an extension of my visit to Vienna. What a waste - a day-trip would have been more than enough !

  • POZSONY!

  • @Enarpadnepeboljottem is capital city of Slovakia :-)

    tiez nik nehovori Spanish Kingdom.....

a kvalita zaberov a kompozicia je taka ako som napisal...priserna.

... a este mi prezrad kde vidis na NBSke lesenie????

  • The places of my everyday life.

  • BRAT I SLAVA ! Pozdrav iz Beograda!

  • @rocksteadyBGD87 Greetings from Slovakia Slavic brother! Kosovo je Srbija!

  • One summer I'll have a huge trip and will visit Warsaw, Prague and Bratislava!

  • If you visit Bratislava don't miss the Rape Carnival and the Fart Parade or the National Jerking off day.

  • @JJarolsavv what is jerking off day?

  • Pěkné video, "Slovakia The Unknown Beauty" taktéž, ale chtělo by to dát na YT videa upravená zvukově, vystřihnout lešení a upravit utržený konec. Ta videa si to zaslouží!

  • Very nice city from what I see.

  • My Brother lives here now so will be visting soon : D

  • Pozsony the capital of the Highland ;)

  • very nice city and very smart country...they put a great university (comenius university) and its one of the best universities for greece..i will study there to be a pharmasist..life is cheap and while i was watching this video.. i thought that it would be the greater experience of my life

  • tak sem bych nejel ani zadara

  • @ondrando Tak si bež kuknúť Ostravu a potom si aj zaplatíš :)

  • @woptiomko bohužel jsem již Ostravou několikrát projížděl.

  • @ondrando "bohužel" :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

  • kde je ten socikovsky komin preboha este ?

  • Akou kamerou si točil?

  • Your video really shows how beautiful Bratislava is! I love the way you have put it all together :-)

  • wow so beautiful i vow to visit beautiful Slovakia, great quality vid too

  • velmi pekne video

  • Egy ősi MAGYAR város "slovakia" fővárosa!!!

    Ez mindent elmond "slovakiáról"!!!

    VIVÁT 1000 ÉVES NAGY MAGYARORSZÁG!!!

  • @TheVisotskij WE DONT SPEAK MONKEY!!!

  • i was there....and i love versage jijiji

it's a really nice versage store in dow town

    bratislava....jijiji my favorite

  • Velmi dobre ! - najprv som si myslel, ze to vyrobila niektora oficialna institucia, ako SACR a pod.

Snad len 2 trochu nevhodne elementy

    - povodny zvuk - poulicny ruch - mal byt odstraneny a ponechana len instrumentalka

    - lesenie na hrade tam nemalo byt

  • Nejde o reklamne video. :-(

  • @SCDSsk teraz mam chut ist domou-dakujem

  • @Addams71 len nech každý vidí aká je Bratislava v skutočnosti, nie trápne klišé typu lacná propaganda

  • ppci pekne video

  • I will be visiting here in September 2010 ... anyone ... tips on what to see and do would be appreciated. Thank you.

  • I've been there last September ... Depends what you're looking for, but if you want i'll give you some broad suggestions, most of which are seen in this video.

    - Grassalkovich (Presidential Palace) (9:29) and its gardens

    - The Old Town (7:57-8:44)

    - The City Train (2:53) which takes you around to see various attractions of the city, including under one of the bastions of the Bratislava Castle, with scenes like those seen at 2:51. It takes around 45-60 minutes, and make sure you (cont ...)

  • cont ... choose the right train, because there's another one which takes you around the Old Town only. I'm not sure however whether the tour starts from right in front the National Theatre (7:47) or from the Main Square of the Old Town (8:20)

    - Slavin Memorial Hill (0:50) - memorial for those Soviet Soldiers which lost their lives in the battle to free Slovakia from Nazis. Nothing so special, but from there you have an exceptional view of Bratislava

    (cont ...)

  • Soviet Soldiers which lost their lives in the battle to free Slovakia from Nazis

and than stayed there for another 20years and fucked it up even more than nazis ever would.lol

  • cont ... - Walkway under Novy Most Bridge (aka "Ufo" Bridge) (4:01), you can take nice photos of the Danube and river banks

    - River banks on the side of Petrzalka district

    - If you want to go shopping, either Obchodna Ulica (Market Street) (right opposite 9:12), and/or the AuPark shopping complex, which is in Petrzalka, (the big building behind "Ufo" 4:01)

Bratislava is a nice city, the only thing however is that if you only speak English, communication might be a bit problematic!

  • Wow, thanks for all the help! I travel frequently and have hit

just about every country that lies around Slovakia including Hungary two years in a row. I managed there well without speaking the language so I'm not to concerned on that count.

Once again, thank you for your help.

  • Just want to say a massive thank you to the person who uploaded this vid,it bought tears to my eyes. This city is has so much character and warmth, the old town is beautiful, lots of nice bars and coffee shops, I was in Bratislava in 2003, and lived there for a year or so teaching english at berlitz, and my time there goes down as the greatest year of my life, the people are so warm and hospitable, and you shouldn't have a problem not speaking the language as most people can speak english

  • @Richarddickinson wnt there for a few days, and from the moment we arrived had a hostile response. No greetings at hotel, public transport stank, everyone looked so miserable, pretty much like most eastern europe i find, same in Poland, men look at you if they want to punch your lights out. Oh well

  • @caerboy198765 I only cant understand why czechoslovakia has one of the lowest crime records in EU after your opinion. As example I spent several months in Manchester and I was all the time fear to walk on the streets full of zombies and so called multicultural sheet....

  • @BaulMr Czechoslovakia´s not existing till 93´ :)

  • @caerboy198765 Shame you had such a bad experience there, and as you were only there for a few days cant imagine you took the time to get to know some of these people, i spent lots of time out in the evenings in bars and clubs and not once had a problem with men wanting to punch my lights out. maybe its just how you looked at them. I made more close friends in Bratislava then i have here in England and thats because they are warm genuine people.

  • @Richarddickinson

alo can you tell me a good home cooking restaurant and not expensive

    thank you

  • @Richarddickinson Hi, I read your comment about living and teaching in Bratislava. I did too, in 2009. Actually I taught for the public school system, but without a work permit or even a visa. An American woman I knew who lived and taught there said she paid around a thousand US dollars to teach legitimately. Did you buy a work permit. I was thinking of going back. :) Thanks

  • @gorwell97 Hi when i went there i didn't need a visa i just applied for a work permit, i cant really remember how much it cost but at the time, it didn't cost as much as a thousand dollars. It was a lot of hassle getting it though, luckily i had a very good friend to help me out going to the foreign police also had to visit embassy but its so long ago i cant really remember what exactly was needed. would love to go back too, good luck in what you do
