The cost of an aircraft carrier with quite a few Harrier jump jets for a whole YEAR works out cheaper than one WEEK of Libyan operations. Our governments got their head up their arses. Deploying our military out to two wars, while also getting rid of their equipment and resources. What bellends.
This video is badass in every single way god created the earth big deal you created this video and its better than anything that old timer could create
even though they arent the best aircraft in the world i cant get over how sexy the tornado GR4 and F3 are. theyre going to be withdrawn from service over the next 2 years which is gutting but F35 look class tbf.
If what you guys are saying about choice between superhornets or the F-22's. I too hope we get the F22's if the yanks ever decide to sell them but hell we've got the Typhoon that's some shit. We should trade, some Typhoons for F-22's...lol like that's ever gonna happen!
good video sir!!! i loved the low level fly past part, i mean how low did that EF get when pulling out of the loop that was crazy!! and was that tornados or jaguars with the low flypast after the EF clip?
Thanks mate. I know, that eurofighter was doing a display and miscalculated the height he needed to do a loop and so was extremely lucky to come out of that one so lightly. Unfortunately for the crowd they cancelled the rest of his routine after that! And yeah I think they are tornados doing that low flyby. Thanks for the comment.
Is that why 2 typhoons were kicking hell out of 4 raptors in Las Vegas first 6 months of the year in air to air combat? Is that also why the F117a and B2 "stealth" aircraft could be tracked by the british rapier sam system when they first debuted at farnborough and the yanks got upset and asked us to turn the radar off??
numb nuts the american planes were required by the British government to be visible by radar, they attached a special transmitter externally to the aircraft. O and By the way no typhoon has defeated an f-22 so don't even try it little boy
Seeing as I'm in the RAF, have been for 14 yrs and have several mates on the typhoon oeu that was beating the raptors. guess I've got more of an idea than you. if the "stealth" a/c actually even had these transmitters fitted why did the yanks get them to turn it off? how were these transmitters fitted? Both the a/c have internal bomb bays. To retro fit pylons let alone carry external transmitters on them would wreck whatever "stealth" capability that was present.
Ooooo. Begs the question why the yanks went ape and wanted us to turn off the sam radar. You certainly know how to have a constructive discussion. Maybe its just a yank thing. shooting off at the mouth when you actually know nothing about everything.
i am not going to have a long argument on youtube comment system, its to annoying. If you want to discuss things find a chat page and send me an invite
The Brits are great! Always enjoyed meeting them, especially the pilots from Royal Navy that touched down on our carrier deck (USS INDEPENDENCE CV-62) in Harriers! ; )
Just so you know I'm bored of yanking your chain. Your obviously too self obsessed with your own delusions to actually interact normally with other human beings. Maybe you should stick to American only websites, safer that way. For us all.
yeah and most of that money goes to wages... duhh its over 2 and a half times bigger! all the major technologies for planes have been brittish not american and the european contracts have only been areound for a few years not even 10 if i remember correctly. and as for the F-22 theyre not american theyre join US UK with input from europe, most european armys can have them in their arsonal so you cant say US is advanced... just the same as others!
TBH, brittish engineering is the best in the world, their air force isnt more advanced because of nato america can use our tech so were no better an air force but we are better at engineering and the newwest european planes are better than the USAF's and theyre not using the european tech so its getting a distance
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
the Brit's didn't make anything, they gave 10% of the funds of the JSF. Which was by far the most out of any of the countries who are receiving it. USA did 90% of contruction and research, with about 85% of the funding. In my oppinion it should be scrapped. I hate it. 10 countries shouldnt get it. only the UK.
BAe Systems are responsible for the manufacture of certain JSF components it seems; the aft fuselage and empennages, horizontal and vertical tails, crew life support and escape systems, Electronic warfare systems, fuel system, and Flight Control Software.
Aus isn't getting F-22's, nobody is. They aren't for sale. Also, sneakypete the F-35's are to phase out both the F/A-18's and the F-111's, we did buy a handful of F/A-18(E variant I beleive) superhornets as a stopgap, as the F-111's will retire before the F/A-18s.
Jenks, original policy was not to export the F22. But a few months back congress abolished the rule that disallowed exports of the F22. You can guarantee if it does get exported it will be a very watered down version, but still, im 90% sure it will be available for export (if anyone can afford it).
To be honest I had heard a while ago there had been some sort of opposition to the rule, in favour of Japan buying them I think, but I didn't think anything would come of it... It's a great aircraft, I'm British but I'd be very annoyed if the UK decided to buy these, because I honestly don't think there is a conceivable threat from any other aircraft to justify such spending imo.
Were've already ordered the f-35's, the choice is between the superhornets and f-22's to replace our f/a-18's, which we plan to retire by 2012 or something. I'm hopeing we go f22, hell, we can afford a few of them.
Thanks. The F-35 is a joint venture, mainly being built and funded by the US that is correct. However, by putting it in this video I was referring to the fact that it is planned to enter service with the RAF. Thanks for the comment :)

british navy are getting the f22 its been worked on with british desginers and engeringers thats why its called the JSF (joint strike fighter)
breffit06 4 years ago
The JSF is the F35 not the F22. It is the f35 that the Royal Navy are getting.
DaveH 4 years ago
its called JSk because it is being used by US navy, US airforce, and US marines. Nothing to due with the fact that the Brits are getting some
NJRocks281 4 years ago
The Brits are getting some because the Brits made half of it. It's the JSF becuase many allied countries will buy it.
