@supermanfan62 no two other episodes is what did it, the one episode where jor-el gave jonathan kryptonian powers so he could go get clark back from metropolis bc he had red kryptonite so he would not care anymore, that was jonathans first heart attack, and the episode where lana died and clark used the powers of the fortress to go back in time, jor el said that another life must be chosen to balance it, and thats when jonathan had a fatal heart attack

it's the other way, clark took chloe to the hospital and saved lana. and it was the beginning of season 5-1 for chloe and lana died towards the end of season 5, that's also the episode where johnathon kent dies

Ok, heres the real spoiler. Lex's dad is not clarks real dad. He's just possesed with clarks dad. Chloe doesn't die. Lois gets stabed by a knive, and then chloe uses her powers, and is temporarolly "dies". Lana doesn't die either, in the 5th season( well you know), and in the 8th, the martion heals him.

You were close. But actually, one of the stones in Season 4 that formed the Fortress made him an oracle of kryptonian knowledge and a vessel that Jor-El could if Clark ever needed him. Just like when Clark died in this scene or when he was attack by Brainiac(as Jonathan impostor), Jor-El would use Lionel's body to aid his son. Lionel would not remember what happen after Jor-El used his body each time.
