@solegitimange it's coming as long as we keep your gop from tricking america that they could do a better job when they got us in the situation we're in in the first place.
A black pentecostal church right across the road from me was cheering all night about the election. They were shouting that McCain was a "weak white man" and acting like they were speaking in tongues. Nobody could get any sleep. Of course, most of the people staying up celebrating didn't have jobs to go to and are inconsiderate of those who have to get up early in the morning to go to work.
I just love how, when it's a group of African Americans and other minorities it's a "Mob", If McPlain had won, and it was a group of whites, what would it have been called?
good to see americans coming together. even if its for something fake like obama or mccain! haha. the ron paul revolution march... now thats history. thousands of people marching on washington. or marching on the RNC. THATS history. not a bunch of brainwashed idiots
I was there and part of history..November 4th, 2008..where were you when America elected Barack Obama? I was with most of America that night..celebrating.
I can't remember an American election where people all over the nation were dancing in the streets celebrating the results. This is just wonderful to see. Thank God for Barack Obama for bringing hope to America. And as to the Republinuts and racists who are trying to portray this as something bad - you are pathetic. You lost. Get over it!
look at all the people who didn't rly think about wut obama stands for and would rather "Barack" the vote or vote just because hes black and watch america burn then actually think about it and help build america
I have to agree, there is no sign of a riot there. It seems that people were exercising their right to free speech while we still have it. I would have to ask though, what kind of "change" is Obama going to bring to America? If someone could give me his definite plan that would be great.
It's = it is. And for the record, there were tons of cursing and wasted people. No one has said it was violent. And sorry if I use words that are a bit too large for your comprehension. Look them up. And lack of punctuation was a few commas that made the post too long. Figured literates could get by.
Everyone went out in the street because they were happy and wanted to share in the exitement. Much of the VCU community experianced the crushing disapointment of voting for kerry and feeling like their vote was for not. Obama's victory renewed our trust in our voting system and government. This wasnt a "mob" or a "riot" it was simply people coming together to share in their exitement. The police helped block off streets so the march could pass without anyone harmed. It was cool!
I can agree with the others that took part in our march of unity on Broad St It was wonderful as we marched with pride ! Eyes full of tears & heart full of Love and happiness
this reminds me of hitler so much. OBAMA GO! raise our taxes! take from the rich give to the poor! Decrease jobs! Bankrupt our buisnesses! And drive our economy to the ground! YAY OBAMA OBAMA OBAMA

This is a riot! This is not happiness! People chanting "Obama!" with their fists in the air running down a public street? What are we, the middle east? How is this not scary or unsettling?
Wow your that upset that Obama won that your still going with that whole terrorism, middle east, "the world is over" thing. I thought you would have figured out that didn't work. Please stop injecting fear into things that need not be feared. The years of bush fear mongering are over. Give up.

I was there too and it was very disturbing. It was real rioting of wasted drunk and cursing people. I went out and asked them about Obama's policies and the mindless mob hadn't a clue. And furthermore, it is not "UNAmerican" to disagree with our president. It IS unamerican to disgrace that right to disagree to completely disrespect and libel our president (as Bush was for 8 years). I am not arguing Bush was a great president, but that he WAS president. Finally, it's "you're" not "your."
Is there any chance you could repeat that in English? It was quite the most unintelligible, rambling nonsense I've read since browsing through a GWB policy document. The odd smattering of punctuation would have been nice. Bye now Rambo.
Someone sounds like they don't have a life. I feel like you're bitter about seeing a crowd of people, who were actually not doing anything wrong. There was no scene of violence, but you would put something positive down.
FOR THE RECORD! For those of you who were not there, I just want to set it strait. People were not drunk, cursing, or violent in any way. That crowd was just happy. Its sad that this spontaneous outburst of joy happens so seldom that it is unrecognizable and rejected as lunacy by those who gain from doubting its legitimacy.

You people are fucking sick. This is just plain SCARY. Mobs in the streets chanting Obama? What has this country become? This is just completely sick and gave me the chills. In a very, very bad way.
you too, are fucking stupid. had you been there, you would have felt the mood of the whole ordeal. it was praise for our new president. stop being so fucking closed minded.
if you're calling me stupid, then you read my post wrong. this was amazing. i was in the middle of all this with everyone, losing my mind! truly a night i'll never forget.
It's spelled R-E-L-I-E-F. People have been waiting to exhale for eight long years under this repressive regime. They are entitled to let it out. It didn't harm you; they were simply chanting and marching. Why do you hate America?
I was there from when this first started. It was amazing to see small groups of happy people become a parade of thousands. I never thought I'd be proud to be a Virginian!!Go Obama!!
You could hear that mess from 15 blocks away....
Did you all get the change you wanted?
