The story is about Len and Rin going to the city to work in the factories, while he's there, he notices the people and he have become hopeless "I hate myself, i hate this guy" the X represented Len's friends who lost hope, but he tried not to, in order to escape he takes his friends on the sand scaper and leave the city with Rin, who has hope as well, as the X's on their face disappear so does the hopeless-ness, they eventually find refuge outside the city in the real world.

Hmm...I think that Len and Rin were twins, but their parents seperated; the father took Len to the 'steam town,' 1:54 - 2:03 . The dad passed away, and Len lives in the town he hates. Meanwhile Rin's mom walks out on her 2:48 . Rin starts running the Express Line that travels through worlds, and takes Len on trips time to time. 2:06 - 2:15. In the end they leave for good, and live together in a desert world, where Rin leaves her hat behind because she doesn't need to look for Len anymore. <3

This song is about the escaping of oppression from people (likely the ones that you've lived with and hated for a long time) and finding a soul mate on that journey of escapism. The sand scraper helps him find his way out of that wretched town that soon crumbles, finds his girl (sister? whatever i support lenxrin) and starting on a new journey again to somewhere unknown.

I never really understood this song, but now I do after re-visiting a few years later and relating it to my life.

My interpreteation:

(I think the train is called Sand Scaper)

So the twins' parents divorced, seperating them, and and all they ever dreamed of was to find each other and be together so they both ran away to where they last had see each other. And it wouldnt matter where they went as long as they are together, canceling out everyone else including their parents and people on the train.
