Hi men, wonderfull guitar, look, i want to know something about this guitar, is about the neck, that guitar has THE SAME NECK SHAPE that ibanez RG Series had? because Ibanez RG series has the neck FLAT behind and i want to know if this Ibanez RGA series has the same flat neck shape behind?, i hope you can understand me, ill be waiting for your answer, thank you!

@Italianvet Yes. I guess it is flat and not rounded like my LTD. Get the guitar it plays great. Great feel and sound. Change the stock pick ups though.
@adickted2k Thank you men! i have an ESP LTD MH 350NT and i don´t like the neck, ALWAYS when i play this LTD guitar my hand and the forearm makes me hurt very much!, in my opinion NOTHING like Ibanez neck....
@futureechoes1 from my experience with the same guitar, its perfect for everything heavy and especially fast shredding with the thin necks that ibanez are famous for. and doesnt sound half bad on clean either definitely worth a purchase, may have to adjust your trus when/if you get it coz the strings being so tight to the fret board making it easy to play but can also cause fret buzz if it warps or bows.
@futureechoes1 the pickups are beast i think bigt996 sums it up really but its solid in clean too, tho you dont buy an ibanez for clean 99% of the time
If anyone wants to check out some vids on the IBANEZ RGA42FM head on over to my channel ive got lots of vids up with it, theyll give you a good idea of how sweet the distortion sounds on it!
@drakotmetal- the active pick ups are amzingly beastly, they give you such a great tone with a lot of power good for any type of rock and roll and metal genres i have tested it out on both distortion and clean, distortion is amazing but i dont like eletrics for clean except one i have tried a kramer electric amazing clean but low pitchy distorion tones
Thanks. My camera mike sucks and the room probably has something to do with it. EQ I use is Clean or combo. I usually switch between them. Great pedal once you know how to use it.
@adickted2k I think he/she meant the EQ switch on the guitar, you know the thing that looks like a pickup selector on a les paul ? I only said this because I would like to know aswell :P :)
Everyone assumes that only the marshall MG is a piece of crap, but the people that only assume the MG has its problems only say that because everyone else does. A lot of the newer amps aren't as well made as they used to be. Too many people trust the quality because of the brand. I'm not saying the amp is bad, but it's definitely not worth defending like you all are. And that distortion isn't properly set up, you need less distortion and more volume if you want the camera to pick anything up.
What exactly did the active eq switch do? Anything useful? I'm trying to choose between the RGA32 (With mahogany oil finish and a tone knob instead of an active eq switch) or a RGA42 (Your one, but I don't think the RGA42"FM" is available in the UK, it's just plain black.)
I think it mid eq switch. Its a 3 volt switch. If you are thinking about switching out the pick ups to active then that switch will be bypassed. Might work on passive pick ups. I liked it!
Go with the RGA32 aince its cheaper. I think mine just costs more because of the EQ. Its only good if you plan on keeping the pick ups. The pick ups with the EQ were not bad at all. Without the EQ they don't sound that good.
@DJParkesie959II well the rga42 costs more because of the flamed maple (which in a way helps the attack of the note and makes mahogany sound a tad bit brighter) top and the mid-scoop switch. with the rga32 it's slightly more mellow because of the tone knob added in which kind of reduces gain by a slight fraction and is a tad bit warmer sounding than the rga42. so if you like the looks of the rga42 go ahead. if i had the money i'd invest in the rga42 though.
thanks for your answer ,i hope that i'll have the chance to try them both.....The music shop in my town doesn't distribute LTD guitars,so thats why i'd like to buy the best of these....also i found the Cort KX1Q at a cheaper price so I'll try them both(this ibanez and the cort) then i'll just pick one:))hopefully
The Gibralter bridge I noticed to stay in tune all the time in Standard tuning. The stock pick ups on the Ibanez are good. Very versatile pick ups. The sustain on it is unbelievable. The equalizer has a part in it. I switched out the pick ups to Blackouts and had it setup for Drop B tuning. The tuning does go out of tune a little, I'm using 12's (Not Even Slinky) **The equalizer switch was bypassed when I had my Blackouts installed.**
The guy said the equalizer ran on 3 volts so it would've been fried if he connected it. (Check out my slipknot cover w Line 6 amp to hear the Blackouts)
I also have the LTD MH-250, its a good guitar with a smooth fast slimmer neck. The stock pick ups on it were alright. I also changed them out to Blackouts. If you want a powerful metal sound then go for the Ibanez. When you play this guitar you will feel the sound through out the whole guitar.
What do you think of the TOM string-through bridge and this Gibraltar bridge?which has better tuning stability and sustain?i'm thinking of buying this ibanez or the LTD MH-250NT,and i don't know which would be a better guitar for it's price
OMG, As soon as you switched to distortion it sounded like a constipated man trying to shit...
on a more serious note, It is an awesome guitar + the pickups are already active and the pinch harmonics are really easy to create and with the tone scoop, I feel this is a breakthrough guitar ibanez has created...
HA HA. Yea I tried so many ways to make my amp sound better when I record but no luck. I already changed out the pickups to Blackouts. The guy @ the shop could not connect the equalizer to the blackouts. So right now its bypassed. Sucks! Maybe I should've went for the Blackouts Metal.
Ha ha! I bought this amp for 600 bucks. It sounds good in person but not in the video. I will be making a new video with this guitar after I get my Blackouts installed. It's in the shop right now and I'm having it tuned down to Dropped C. What amp do you recommend?
The video is great to see the clean of the guitar but there is a problem with your distortion. Maybe you should redo a video with the line 6 with a more usual sound of distortion ^^. Anyway the guitar seems really cool !
Thanks! I'm still trying to find a good sound on my BOSS ME-70. I will redo it with just using my metal zone pedal and not the ME-70. If that doesn't work then I will use my line 6 amp.
I paid $399. It was $499 but I had a $100 dollar off coupon from Sam Ash. And I got a cool free Ibanez case with it! I have an LTD MH250 (Agathis body) with Blackouts and I love this Ibanez better!
No Comments? Should I redo the video? I do have a line 6 amp but thought the sound is too processed and you wouldn't be able to get a real sound of the guitar on it.
yes.
