  • i dont think the book is too horribly sad....

it actually helped me when i was struggling with some pretty severe depression, made me feel like i wasnt alone in my problems. I guess it depends on how you look at it.

  • I am actually the fella that wrote the book- and looked up reviews when I got drunk. Thanks man, you did a good job.

  • Awesome! Thanks Lev, and again congrats on a great book :)

  • I think that Lev's stories are funny, but I guess they're depressing.

  • I loved that book

  • i really don't find the series depressing.

it's just a very wry sense of humor.

  • That was a pretty shallow review.

  • pretty good interview... and yes, I too think that Lev's stories are both really good and really depressing at the same time.

  • u look like paul giamati.

  • And also a bit like Eric Wareheim of "Tim & Eric" fame.

  • This is Lev, I wrote the book. Thanks for the review man!

  • Hey, no prob, thanks for watching! I really enjoyed it.

  • can't afford a copy. poor college kid. care to donate?

  • Me or Lev? Cause I'm also poor :)

  • Anyone who would like to donate to my collection. I'm a big fan of Lev's work. The economy just has me currently out of work. Don't want to be a charity case, but hey!

  • nice

  • Tales of Mere Existence is great. You just picked an issue focused on depressing matters. :)

    Thanks for the vid.

  • New graphics.. exciting! But the background is less interesting. Thanks for reviewing something different!

  • No prob... I was cleaning my living room, so it was pretty gross :) Back to the door being open today.

  • Very cool that you're reviewing indies, but it's only fair to point out that they tend to cover depressed emotional states as a general rule. That or deeply inappropriate/gross humour - though that might be just the UK indie scene.

  • Ha! Well, not just those subjects, but yes, some of 'em are... Or at least that's what people think of when they think of indie.

  • It's all thanks to R. Crumb, who pretty much started the whole indie comics thing. Depressed emotional states and inappropriate/gross humor were pretty much all his comics were about!

  • i'm buying it. sounds like my cup of tea :()

  • good review.

  • cute

  • awesome review!!! def going to search it out, thanks alex

  • Did anyone here pick up Unthinkable #1? BTW I'm so glad to see an indie comic being reviewed.

  • you guys should start taping your live shows on camera and then you should upload them here

  • We would! But it takes a ton of work (multiple cameras, edits, length, audio, etc.), so we don't have the time... We do post audio on comic book club live, on iTunes.

  • That seems like an interesting comicbook. I might read it sometime.

  • Took the words right out of my mouth.
