  • Hey can you teach us how to make that skrillex raw pad, like on the track Scary Monsters and blablabla, at 0:58 - 0:59?

  • 1:45 to get right to the good stuff

  • Dope

  • Its not such a big deal, i mean, Knife Party does not use "Modern Talking" but they use "Screamer". Its all the fucking same

  • Turn up your mic volume or try to speak closer to your mic.

  • what is meant by 'modern talking'?

  • @ThePaparoachfan4ever It's one of the Oscillator Waveforms, and has been used a LOT in dubstep for talking sounds. it has meant that Knife Party have made a thing of avoiding it because it's such a typical sound.

  • @ProductionBytes ah, i see. loving the knife party sounds

  • @ProductionBytes that's why their Ep is called 100% no modern talking lol

  • @ajcblanco Thats why the tutorial is named something similar ;)

  • @ProductionBytes 100% No Modern Talking by Knife Party. :P

  • @ThePaparoachfan4ever in every other tutorial they use modern talking on osa 1

  • fuck modern talking

  • 100% No Modern Talking?

  • sounds like an alien

  • awesome patch thanks :)

  • I got a question, i have Logic Pro 9, but i can't find the Massive plugin, do you have any ideas where i can find it?

Do i have to buy it, or is it included in the Logic Pro 9 package ?

  • @Theison9292 Massive is part of native instruments so your going to have to buy it about £140

  • @DayofJustice92 Cool,thanks for the response.

probrbly, gonna go get some of the exp packs to refx (nexus 2) instead, sounds like a better deal to me..

  • Final sound: 08:45

  • how do i even get to massive

  • @DJxFINAL just google a massive torrent and download it.

  • i dont like to turn down the master becuse it sounds lika a filter. its true ?

  • Unison 7 will give you no end of problems on your mixdown.. too loud.. i'd say 4 max

  • @ninteh wisdom!

  • Logic vs. Ableton live for non live performance?

  • @NaujAKAJuan personal preference.

Ableton is more designed for it though

  • @NaujAKAJuan Definitely Ableton for Live. Nothing beats it.

  • Those drums sound pretty sick as well.

  • what software(s) do you use??

  • @m4sterb4ker1996 It's Logic Pro with Native Instruments Massive

  • When I try to listen to my sound on Massive it doesn't do it. What do I need to do to listen to it? Can you please help me I am new to massive.

  • Skrillex uses ableton

  • @noobhaiter doesn't really make much difference at all

  • @noobhaiter doesn't really matter what daw you use, the plugins make the sounds

  • too bad they make there wobbles with there voices then they distort them it more origional

  • @ecboy4lif3 lol! they actually aint using MASSIVE... they use FM8 & Absynth... xD they dont even do what you are saying... knife party thinks "Sample-Based" sucks... xD

  • @ecboy4lif3 Yeah except not at all.

  • @ecboy4lif3 *their

  • Your voice give me goosebumps :3

  • Thank you for teaching me! :) You took me to the next level in musicmaking. :D

  • Due to all respect, nothing even similar to Skrillex or Knife Party.

  • Another Skrillex bass FAIL

  • Like this if you knew why the album was called that the second you saw it.

  • i love pupler sounds

    :D

  • @RanDubMusic It just means you're up in the middle of your keyboard again.

and i don't think Digezt has a keyboard when he's doing these videos as he has a different setup for it. -V

  • Just to clarify, Knife Party isn't dubstep..it's electro house.

  • @riddimking44 :L just to clarify, no its not.

  • @RanDubMusic Yes it is, you ignoramus. If it isn't, what IS it? It's at 128 bpm, with a 4/4 house beat, and stabby synth sounds accompanied by dirty basslines. Sounds like electro house to me.

  • @riddimking44 so some of their songs is 128 and that makes them electrohouse? oh wait what about firehive? isnt that 140 bpm? Tbh people who are little bitches about genres need to get a life. everythings so vaugue now even in a interview knife party said they classify into no genre and dont want to.

  • you sound like JJ from Skins! :L

  • very good tutorial, thanks!

  • Blahh, this is like the 8th tutorial for making sounds ive tried and it never sounds the same even though i have don't identically what the tutorial has done. even by your first example at about 3:40, mine sounds different.

  • @Sn0wday360 but does it at least sound like dubstep bass?>

  • @ariisbest2 well no, considering this isn't dubstep bass, so i would hope not.

  • type in dubstep beatboxer in to youtube...sound similar to 1:00? i think so. check it out

  • Was I the only one getting ready to sing Scatta when he showed the bass.

  • @HacharyZalo Yes.

  • Also sounds like Reso

  • sweet vid. how do you make your drums so loud without clipping???

  • @TURTLESTEPOFFICIAL Use compressor

  • @Deduure i did. but there still tooo quiet :(

  • How did you make that Big kick in your intro? :o

  • Did you write a script? it sounds like you know EXACTLY what your going to say.

  • @mw2king89 He sounds like he took a sound design course, meaning he knows wtf he's talking about, so he probably doesn't need a script.

  • @DamianSabre I'm just saying its liked he planned every single word before he said it. I'm not judging if he did, i was just asking,

  • @mw2king89 Yeah, I know what you meant.

  • @DamianSabre ok cool haha, u make music?

  • @mw2king89 I want to, but I'm too broke to buy any DAW (for now), and I want to take a sound design course. Once that's over with, I'll definitely start producing.

  • @DamianSabre oh, cool! u mind checkin out my music?

  • 3/12 = 1/4

  • really helpful cheers man

  • So that's why their album is called "No Modern Talking" :P

  • @HeroicHereticsHH3 Yep exactly!

  • @ProductionBytes They actually use FM8!

  • @YGGification Explain. Because I saw that Skrillex interveiw aswell

  • @HeroicHereticsHH3 its as sad as it gets isnt it when youve been using that vst alot and you think hmmmmmmmm when you seen something like that!

  • @HeroicHereticsHH3 however I think they did use Modern Talking. Certainly sounds like it...

  • sound at 1:02

  • what program?

  • @PrimeXDubstep Logic pro on Mac OSX with Native Instruments Massive

  • awesome tutorial man...very detailed, and easy to follow...show me more! lol

  • @allaboutNDIRISH Thanks man means a lot and hope you found it helpful. I am doing more :) Just a delay due to University work.

  • @ProductionBytes i did thanks...if you can help me with this id greatly appreciate it, but im trying to make a low sound growl/scream type sound with a high one behind it..reference paradigm : dreamer..kind of what im looking for..again, any help is appreciated as im very new to all this...

  • how do you use massive with logic?!?! help me

  • @acmnyqvist You need to have the Massive DMG, Install the "AU" version which is what Logic uses instead of VST. Once you have installed it, start Logic up and it will automatically detect it. You will then be able to find it within the AU section on a instrument track. If you don't know where it is read the manual and it will explain it all in depth. Hope this helps . Digezt

  • make sure you turn up the synth and turn down the vox... o wait.

  • Loooove the Carbon wavetable... subscribed.

  • when i look to start experimenting with sounds i create a new midi track and it always starts off with evp88 electric keyboard whereas on yours above the eq it still says settings?

  • @mrdjeazy This is because in your settings you have it set up, so each time you make a new instrument track it automatically loads the EVP88. Its a feature added in 9.1.1. Just Untick open library when you make a new track and it will just load a blank track for you. Hope this helps.

    Digezt.

  • LOL at the huge argument under me

  • @iMakeTehWobs lol trollex.gif

  • Big Chocolate uses Albino 3 and Boregore Uses Reason.

  • @Zynomics borgore doesn't use reason. he uses ni massive which is a plugin which reason cannot use. he uses cubase. fact

  • @KungPowCheekin Where do you get your facts from?....

  • @Zynomics borgore himself has said this numerous of times. educate yourself kid

  • Comment removed

  • @Zynomics ha you don't know who i am sir. you are ignorant for claiming that borgore uses reason and you even spelt his name wrong. look i m not here to name call this is a good tutorial now leave the man alone and get out with your preconceived notions

  • @KungPowCheekin boregore uses cubase with reason rewired, along with massive

  • @Zynomics Even if you are right which others seem to think you are not.

it does not matter because a synthesizer is a synthesizer, you can still make the same sounds in any synth so long as it has the right functions,

and massive has a huge wealth of waveforms and functions, enough to match almost ANY synth or DAW out there!

  • @gix10000 He just has to be right on everything. And there are some things massive cannot do too.

  • @Zynomics shut up I am right. borgore stated that he uses ni massive for all of his basslines. not sure if just recently (recent as in a few days ago maybe a week or two) he has decided to use some synthesizers in reason. not sure if he is a reason user as I have only heard him say he uses cubase in a written interview/video interview. not trying to say massive is bad/limiting you can achieve loads of great sounds in it also ask borgore yourself if you are still unsure.

  • @gix10000 yes but massive is a wavetable synthesizer so not many/very few synths can achieve what massive could achieve it's a very unique synthesizer and is quite popular you can try and emulate some sounds in massive from another synth but it's unlikely you will achieve something similar unless you are using another great wavetable synth like massive.

  • is this karl pilkington?
