True i'm in the army reserves... but if we don't have people willing to serve our country then who will defend it? it is a sacrifice that we make to protect our families and friends as well as our country. if we had people cowardly hidding then we would be ruled by someone we wouldn't like and be told what to do or we would have to pay another country to defend us.
No body wants to go to war, dont go saying its a fun time over there, and most of the time you come back Injured, mentally or physically, It's nothing no person should ever witness, friend or foe.
i told my mate i wanted to join the army im 17 and he said what coz u good at cod4 thats not the point so i said no becuase i want to accpolisme something in life and defend my country.
its doesn't, games vs. war are two totally different reflex and knowledge sets. In games reloading is a button, you get a count of bullets, if you get shot you eventually get better, etc.
In war, not so much. You have to count your bullets, if you are shot you feel it, and it doesn't go away, reloading takes time, and usually one bullet = game over. There is no respawn, there is no extra lives, no second chances. But if you truly wish to serve, I won't stop you.
im 17 too same year as you92 and it would be accomplishing something but trust me ive seen the other side and it isnt pretty. you dont come out the same and people who arent cut out for fucked up things and having things be realllly messed up, dont come back as men, but as hurt little boys. and it hurts me to see it happen over and over again.
I'm sorry to break your bubble, I really am... but war isn't anything like sitting on your butt all day playing Call of Duty. True war is horrible, and painful for both soldiers and their families.
sad part about that is i talked to this kid(13 years old) awhile ago and he said he wanted to be a marine.i asked him why and he said "im really good at Call Of Duty 4 online so i would be really good in real life" i didnt respond because i didnt know what to say.just to think video games is inspiring people to do stupid things.
ok now that kid is just immature and still has a lot to learn in life because video games will not help you in anything in life, me on the other hand i want to be a marine but i want to do it because i want to help defend my country and fight for its long living freedom OOORRAAAHHH!!!!!!
what the crap... you know i played and beat game for like 100 times and it still didnt make me want to join the military. i wanna join because im following the example my friends and family showed me. also, i hope that kid never makes it in the marines because it's not gonna do shit himself
Thats true, its about the men and women to the left and right of you.
Once that first bullet zips past your head, politics and shit are all out the window, and its about the task at hand... right now. To get your brothers in arms and yourself home while accomplishing the mission at hand.
And it also works in the ''if we dont join and defend out country... then who will" sense to.
Im already accepted into the Canadian Forces as an Infantry soldier. I start BMQ and SQ this summer.
There are tons of clips and videos from Iraq. They're all nitty and gritty, nothing like the some movies or cod. Its a tough place, and I imagine you'd have to be a tough person to survive there. I mean, sometimesI get scared playing woodsball. You get hit, big whoop, worst you could get is a big welt. There, it could be your last moments. Or worse, you could become handicap from an IED etc. I'm not trying to discourage you from joining the army, I'm just pointing out that it isn't call of duty.
Thank you for that. I don't want join to army, because I am good at CoD. It's fun.. You don't discourage me from joining the army, thanks for ''show'' me the other side of it. Can i ask, where have you served?
I haven't served anywhere, I'm still in school. I do have a neighbor who's served in Afghanistan numerous times though... And from the videos I've seen so far (Excuse my ignorance) there isn't any flashy rambo style moves in Iraq. The real war's tough and dirty, not something we can leave and eat lunch.
dude no offence but untill you experience battle you dont know what your talking about u have a romantic view of battle but trust me i fought in iraq there is nothing romantic about it
i hate old crapy music like that makes wana throw up.putting it together with a beautiful movie like black hawk down is just insulting to who ever made it. sorry to all the classic old rock songs but its just pathetic
Low quality but nice video!
