  • I saw Cryptopsy open for Suffocation not a full week after releasing Once Was Not, so I had no idea what I was in for. Flo's drumming on Carrionshine and Alex Auburn's solo on Adeste Infidelis knocked my damn block off.

  • Lacks the most underrated Tech Death band - GORGUTS!!!

  • Names and Phobophile ! ! !

  • I'm not necessarily certain that most of these are really "Technical"

You probably got them mixed up with just speed.

Necrophagist on the other hand, yes. They are Technical Death Metal, they are Technical as fuck if I must say.

Nile is a close call, but mainly These songs are just fast and not all technical

  • @Gl4nG3R

Necrophagist shit, they are very technical but do not swing, many notes per second is good but the music should have its own peculiarity, that it was hooked and wanted to listen to More, I am writing as a consumer and that is my point of view, I pay money to go to concerts and buy CDs respecting creativity of musicians and their work.

  • @dawodaw Do you know what a period is?

  • @Gl4nG3R I think it just depends if you are a strict judge or not. All of these bands are officially technical death metal, the video is not about the 10 most technical bands, only about some that i like a lot. but of course i agree with you, most here are not very technical. you probably dont know spawn of possession well because imo they are the most technical of this video, go check them out.

  • @Gl4nG3R I agree with you on Nile. I can't get into them for some reason and I'm in love with Necrophagist. What does that tell ya? SoP is Tech for sure and so is Psycroptic. Cryptopsy is considered "grind core" I think, but they are sick and definitely have tech moments. I'm wondering where Muhammad from Necro is, is he alive!!! I'm dying over here

  • @fairch14 Cryptopsy is NOTHING like Grindcore. Grindcore is like if Death Metal went all punk oriented and had really terrible production. Cryptopsy is Brutal Death Metal and Tech Death Metal. Listen to the album "Once was Not" and it's relentlessly technical. If you don't like Nile, just listen to "Execration Text" and "Cast down the Heretic", otherwise there's no hope for you... joking, but still, listen to those songs.

  • @Bassbait I didn't say I agreed, but when Whisper Supremacy came out that's what they said. I'm glad it's sorted out. I've given Nile many chances and saw them live. Guess I don't like their guitarists style....it happens. But would one more chance hurt? nope! I'll check them out man, thanks!!

  • @fairch14 Well whoever said that is basing it off of false information. At least I can see you're open minded because you're still willing to check them out. Sometimes it's just a matter of hearing the right song before a band clicks with you.

  • My favorite song of the all death technical death meta is Cospirancy of silence :P Fleshgod Apocalypse

  • Slipknot

  • @MyNutsAreCold HAHAHAHAH No.

  • It makes me glad Decapitated was the first one. They fucking rule. I'm seeing them with Decrepit Birth, Fleshgod Apocalypse and Rings of Saturn in less than 2 weeks. Good list bro.

  • @PsychedelicShot in Asbury park?

  • @PsychedelicShot Rings of Saturn are horrible!!

  • @TheLondonGuy123 Seized and Devoured is a great song

  • @funnystonervideos I just really dislike their music. But i managed to meet the band (can't remember how long ago) and they were awesome people!

  • @PsychedelicShot I saw them in San Diego. All of them are sick except for Rings of Saturn. but i will give the bassist massive props because hes in Brain Drill and shreds

  • Death, atheist, cynic?

  • @MetalReigns2 thanks, thanks, thanks! not very many people are aware of the people who were actually responsible for fusing real musicianship with metal and constantly pushing the envelope

  • @babykkkyle Everybody knows Death, Atheist and Cynic. It's almost unfair to include them.

  • @Bassbait sadly too many people don't actually know about them. But I applaud your true metal take on it assuming they should just know it and if not fuck em. Come to think of it who doesn't know about decapitated? I don't know how I woulda survived age 17 without Nihility lol.

  • @babykkkyle hell yeah Nihility was probably The album that got me into death metal^^

  • @Tripletblast yeah i was definitely already sold on the old school stuff with death and morbid and atheist, but nihility really got me into the heavy, heavy stuff still one of the most technical albums out there imo.

  • Top 3 for me

    1 - Necrophagist

    2 - Illogicist

    3 - Spawn of Possession

  • wheres cannibal corpse and death they are the fathers of tech death and hate eternal thats like the most technical death metal band but other than that great vid keep metal alive

  • @metalhed1100

Definitely not the fathers of tech death, where did you hear that? lol

  • Where is death? The fathers of death metal, and technical

  • @thecicerobs mm the quote actually is the father of death metal. not technical but I agree just for good faith death should always be included

    \m/

  • Liked cool

  • necrophagist lml,

  • Great list. How do you feel about Death?

  • @Eupator5 Favorite band in this or the next life.

  • Psycroptic forever!

  • Solid
