  • what a special show

  • Would be nice if they played this once in a while.........

  • trey nailed Clarence's solo. perfect tone.

  • What happened to the LA LAs?

  • dammit, i was blacked out on xanax for half this show... im so mad at myself... The last song i remember was David Bowie.... it was AWESOME THOUGH!

  • what i find amazing is that they only put this cover together the night before the show

  • @jasonflood29 It is amazing.....The thing that really gets me, is you can tell they all really dig this tune-and have for a long time. They were probably friends with Clarence Clemons and this is a great way to tribute the man. A kickass heartfelt rendition of "Thunder Road"

  • Donna graduated!

  • man I was at the concert four days earlier.

  • I was there. Thanks for posting this!

  • Just the fact that Phish could bust out any song at any time is amazing

  • a tribute to the late great Danny Federici too - Page nails it. And I love the lick Trey does after "...I got this guitar and I learned how to make it talk"

Trey has said what a big influence Bruce and the ESB was on him - he said after one of his first time seeing them, he thought all concerts were supposed to be that long! I am certain there was an influence of BS & the ESB on Phish.

God I miss The BIg Man. RIP Clarence, hope you are jammin' with Jerry!

  • Thanks for posting...nicely done Trey.

  • This was amazing! Especiallly because my father raised me on the Boss, and to hear my favorite band play this on fathers day, was a great moment.

  • Quit talking about who'd exist without who! This is just a tribute from one musician to another. Clarence has been a huge influence on a lot of people. I've seen many bands in my time, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Stones, Eagles... But the E Street Band is by far the best live band there is. Even though they might not love every night on stage, they give the fans everything they have. RIP Big Man.

  • AMAZING...Walking down the aisle with my dad to this song. We cried when Clarence died. :(

  • Thanks for recording and sharing this. I am a HUGE Springteen & E Street Band fan as well as a HUGE Phish fan, so it's nice to see the convergence of the two. Classy move by the band paying tribute to Clarence and having the balls to try something they had never played. Do you have Trey's short acknowledgement after the song? If not, no worries.

  • I'm getting the shivers watching this. Clarence, you will be missed. Kudos to Phish for nailing this tribute.

  • You ain't a beauty but hey...you're alright...

  • thanks for the video. it really helps.

  • gonna miss you Big man

  • Huuuge class by a classy group of guys. Such a cool gesture. We miss you Clarence

  • Phish SOUND.. great.... i first heard the AUDIO... wasnt sure if THE BOSS was possibly guest singing... then I found this posting.... THANKS... for sharing..... GREAT Cover...

  • Trey playing Clarence's sax solo is beautiful .. RIP Big Man

  • lots of knowledgeable PhishHeads and/or Bruce (read:Clarence) fans in this audience

  • I hate to say it, but Phish would still exist even without the E-street band.

  • Respect to Phish for the tribute to the Big Man. Thanks for sharing this video.

  • Respect to Phish for the tribute to the Big Man. Thanks for sharing this video.

  • I've been dreaming about this for years, so happy to have been there last night. Great video bro.

  • Glad everyone is enjoying this video. Very special moment for all in attendance.

  • Thanks for posting! You can always count on Phish for stuff like this. RIP Big Man. You'll be missed.........

  • Thank you so much to whoever posted this !

  • Glad Trey sang it-There would be no Phish as we know it without the E-street Band. RIP C.C.

  • @platoplates I'm a tremendous fan, having see both dozens of times, but this is one of those instances where the "they wouldn't exist without" claim is totally misplaced. I don't think Bruce/E Street had a major influence - or even a minor one - on Phish. You might as well be sayiing that the Zeppelin wouldn't exist without Elvis.

  • Thanks for posting

  • RIP Big Man!

  • RIP, Big Man, we'll miss you.

  • awesome tribute to the big man, he would be proud. we looooooooved it xx

  • RIP, Big Man. <3 Thanks for shooting this video and Trey for loving Thunder Road.
