If you Google Shiva Manasa Puja, you can find some transliterated versions with translations; perhaps you already have. Yes, this is a most wonderful chant and I usually play it most mornings. Originally I learned it in a different melody, but I like this one better. <3

Very well thought prayers I like the last stanza ( starting from 4.29) ! Just want to share its meaning, it is as below.
The crimes ( sins) committed by hands or legs or the actions /deeds /KARMA.
The sins caused by ears or eyes or the mind , knowingly or unknowingly. Please lord forgive all of those, cause you are the ocean of the mercy ,O MAHADEV SHIV SHAMBHU !

i have started meditating recently, though i have been in touch with a few
knowledge able who have been doing so for years and are qualified yoga
practitioners. They have all told me that they have themselves many so called
"enlightened men" and non has been able to prove the veracity of the chakras.
Looking at symmetrical figures and soothing music is not even close to the real
thing. this just give us false experience of the real phenomenon. if anyone one has
any info please reply.

Please stop arguing. This is a divine hymn to lord shiva singing the glorious aspects of god. Although shiva is without attributes he is accredited with these divine chants because he is ALL encompasing. Aum Namah Shivaya.

If you Google Shiva Manasa Puja, you can find some transliterated versions with translations; perhaps you already have. Yes, this is a most wonderful chant and I usually play it most mornings. Originally I learned it in a different melody, but I like this one better. <3

Unfortunately we Hindus like pride in our faith, well some Hindus see their darker color and think that it is inferior, that's how we get this silly billywood-reflected glory. If the Buddha had been born in Europe or muslim lands, he would have been branded a heretic & put to death! There would be no Buddhism today! No Sikhism, Jainism, Zoarashtrism either!

Hell is a vile, abusive, disgusting concept. God buys love & loyalty with the threat of torture? A Gandhi, Teresa, Mandela would never think of torturing their enemies, whereas a Saddam, Hitler, Stalin would. This is the company that God keeps?

@ramaraksha01 what's more evil, the man who outright acts and does against society, or he who turns his back on someone he lauds as great, and only chooses to respect parts of what he said, such as Gandhi and how he said the Untouchable class must be liberated in india? He was quite explicit on this detail. So how arent the indian people more evil than those tyrants, seeing as they abuse the name of Gandhi on a daily basis.

The symbol is AUM. represented by the symbol in the video. it actually is the divine vibration that is refered to as AUM, AMIN, AMEN, etc. it is the sound you hear in deep contemplative silence. it is the supreme grace light it self. Love, Light, Peace, Aum Shanti.

Its actually a south indian instrument called "Veena", which pretty much functions like a Sitar. As far as I remember, the singer's name is Bhanu. To adjna, thanks a million for uploading this. Been looking for it everywhere. Keep the good times rollin' :)

it is NOT a Veena; it is a Tampura, an accompanying instrument to set the scale in Carnatic music.
