I love the Brooklyn Museum; you should do a video of the Botanical Gardens next to it :) Also, the Japanese masks you saw are faces of Kami (gods in Japanese Buddhist and Shinto relgion). They are often depicted as stern because most Kami either protect us from evil or punish us for being bad people. You'll even see statues of stern Kami at shrines for pregnant moms and new babies. That's right NERD POWER!! :)

Im a huge photography person! I dont do it for money, its just a hobby. I also love trash art/scrap or in other words art that is made from used/no longer needed trash or scraps. It is amazing what ppl can do with a few pieces of trashed metal and a torch to shape it with! :-)

Arielle I totally feel that same way about the plate thing, I took many pottery classes for that reason! I made bowls/plates and vases frm scratch and i loved how one of a kind they are! and theres something so specially about hand making things that we NEED in our daily lives that is so mass made now like you said.
