@Nautilus1972 that is too true. i get into a bit of physics and the big bang theory is stupid, so is string theory. according to string theory events a the quantum scale are randomly generated, thus predicting several or all possible events happening at the same time in separate dimensions. my theory is that every single event arose from another particular event. and if we can understand a unified picture of all interacting forces in the universe we could then apply those equations to physology.

However, sometimes I, like most people I presume, struggle with the feeling that there is no meaning to life. Eh, Christianity has lots of holes in it from where I'm looking. Yes, it does teach good, and I agree with it's intent. (Somewhat) For example, God is omnipotent, and omnipreasent, why create us? Well, if you want do dealve deeper into my logic, I believe morality is the difference between good and evil. In a society without God, I would say suicide is acceptable. A person has a right to their life, and should be able to end it if their suffering outways their pleasure. I can see why it's unacceptable in a Christian society, since if suffering outways, you turn to God for guidence and support. God could do anything, just something believable to show he's there... @Nautilus1972 that is too true. i get into a bit of physics and the big bang theory is stupid, so is string theory. according to string theory events a the quantum scale are randomly generated, thus predicting several or all possible events happening at the same time in separate dimensions. my theory is that every single event arose from another particular event. and if we can understand a unified picture of all interacting forces in the universe we could then apply those equations to physology.

I would look into the envelope. I am simply a highly curious person, which, admittedly has gotten me into a number of bad situations. However, sometimes I, like most people I presume, struggle with the feeling that there is no meaning to life. I think it would be much better to at least know that I have some meaning in life, however disappointed, than to feel like I am so small and inconsequential that my life had no affect on, well, anything.

Eh, Christianity has lots of holes in it from where I'm looking. Yes, it does teach good, and I agree with it's intent. (Somewhat) For example, God is omnipotent, and omnipreasent, why create us? To love us oh so huggy muggy much? It pretty much says that in the bible. The way I see it, we're more like entertainment, which I would consider some form of slavery. That would cause people to show faithe just to get out of hell, but God is all knowing in Christianity. I can't think of anything I've ever done that couldn't be traced back to pleasure, and I'd like it if you'd try that aswell. of our actions are either to gain pleasure or to end it's opposite. I am a former Christian actually, and I have a lot of time, during that I've thought about this topic. Still, even if God did exist, I'd say he'd use his omnipitance to entertain himself in a world of nothing, not purely out of the love for life. Well, if you want do dealve deeper into my logic, I believe morality is the difference between good and evil. Logic doesn't have to abide by morality, people feel guilt in doing wrong (Most of the time) and there are those that do it anyways and take pleasure in it. It doesn't mean I agree with their actions. If you abide by this logic society would collapse, but that isn't what it's for. Logic is to find truth, the truth can sound bad, even I don't like this 'truth', but I believe it is true.

You can gather all the evidence in the world and can't prove anything to be true. I just choose which has the highest probability in my mind. Carnal knowledge... Christ suffered for our sins. I am a very logical person as you might have guessed, so I have a hard time believing such... Supernatural acts. Souls, something I would describe as our 'Life force' need God to end suffering and become truly happy in Christianity. In a society without God, I would say suicide is acceptable. A person has a right to their life, and should be able to end it if their suffering outways their pleasure. I can see why it's unacceptable in a Christian society, since if suffering outways, you turn to God for guidence and support. God could do anything, just something believable to show he's there... Something everybody would notice... Well... That's what I would do to get believers... It's simple, easy, doesn't go against anything.

If suicide becomes a human right as you suggested, anyone trying to help someone who wants to commit suicide is commiting a legal offence (impeaching another person's right) .... Our purpose is to collect energy, this is the meaning of every thing we do.
Even though the fundamental law of the universe is the conservation of energy in the lowest form.
We cannot own the energy and we should only take as much as we need for ourselves, and after we die it is released. Those that want to create large things need more energy, some of them steal it if it wont be missed. If it will be missed then that is terrible and others will hate you for it.

well by asking that question, you are also assuming at the same time that the meaning of life is an absolute. such as truth, evil, good. so really the question then becomes not whether you would want to know what the meaning of life is or isn't, but rather, does the world as a whole have the capacity to have the meaning of life as an absolute. and even if there was an absolute meaning of life, why would anyone follow it, theyre already quite comfortable with how things are, and how they change.

I wouldn't want to see it just because I like life be suprising. but if I did find out the meaning to life then I would keep it to myself, mostly because whats the point of people knowing? Finding out is half the fun, the result being just a really good benifit. Personally, The meaning to life for me is meaningless because we must set our own meaning. To me, thats what I think
