Guys listen. Theres a difference between Megabits and megabytes. Your ISP promises you Megabits not megabytes. THerefore the test is inacurate. Your ISP probably also says UP TO *mb

Configuring your ports may help in a way. If you want download speed, then ports must be configured for optimal downloading. If you want speed for gaming (FPS, RTS, MMORPG..)

Make sure the following is not present

-MSN sharing folders

-anything uploading or downloading that may be hidden (updates, ect)

-anything that is constantly loaded through a website

Those are just a few warnings if you think your internet is slow. Also, if you own a router, see if people are connected to it.
