My Samsung M110 had a cracked window and I could not get a replacement. In the end I bought some 2mm Lexan polycarbonate sheet but the phone got lost or stolen before I made a new window. I'm not impressed with ANY of the mobiles although my Motorola V3 Raz was brilliant until it got stolen. Not waterproof alas but a condom will do a great job temporarily (e.g crossing the Solent in an inflatable dinghy when the sea is choppy) Pet hate is phones that dial or surf from my pocket, wastes £s£s£s!

Ok here's the headlines in English:

The Sonim was not waterproof; water got in quickly and it took a whole day for it to recover.

The Samsung passed this test.

A 3 meter drop wasn't a problem for either of them

The sand got into the Sonim's keyboard which made the keys hard to press.

The Samsung didn't have any problems with the sand.

The Sonim's screen burst when a car passed over it.

The simcard in the Samsung broke, but the phone itself was fine.

So the winner is the Samsung M110.
