He probably can't even smell the treat, so it's just a bottle with something in it. Leave the cap off and watch him get all the treats you put in there!
what a good idea :) always keep their minds going, we have done something similiar for our dog (but always constantly supervised with home made puzzles) - they really do enjoy thse :)
