Well, Shame is right. When you're planning a big crime that may yield a lot of gain, it doesn't pay to risk getting caught over something small and stupid.
I do find it a bit hypocritical that Fred comes up with this 'not so smart' suggestion as he;s taking Shame's money.
About 3 weeks after this episode was originally broadcast, the producers did an episode entitled "The Jokers's Flying Saucer". At the beginning of that episode, Barbara Gordon, who is also Batgirl, is terrified and lets out a piercing scream when she sees "a little green man from Mars" in the library. You wouldn't expect Barbara Gordon to be frightened so easily, but maybe she still hadn't completely recovered from the effects of the fear gas, which would explain why she was frightened.
man! the dynamic duo are a couple of hard-asses. they walk into the barn & sees frontier fanny just laying there. she could have been laying there dead, but instead of checking her to see if she were ok they just stand there having a conversation @ the end of which they hustle her to her feet. what a coupla guys.
You know, if they were gonna use fear gas, they could've just gone with an actual Batman villain who's gimmick just happens to be fear. But wait, did Batman ever fight a guy like that? Let me think... Oh, yeah, SCARECROW!
I love, love, LOVE Batman, Robin and Batgirl on fear gas!! I saw this on TV today and thought, I have to see this again. Thanks so much for uploading, as usual!
Shame should have removed Batman's cowl while under his fear gas.He would have gladly given up in order to save himself and beating from shame and his men.
Absolutely nothing against this actress, but I honestly never liked Batgirl. Especially in the comics. I always found her character to be annoying and rather unessecary.
Two things really get me . When Shame calls her, BATCHICK AND PUSSYCAT,any man that uses those words to a women should be slapped across the face.I would love to be the one that does it. CHILVARY MUST PREVAIL
The reason batgirl gets captured again is because this show was written by male shovinist pigs!!! I on the other hand am a gentlemen who believes in equal rights for women, when shame calls her batchick and pussycat I really want to slap his face, and for that matter your face too. LONG LIVE CHIVALRY
Loved the scared looks on the faces of Batman, Robin and Batgirl when they were squirted with the fear gas and Shame and his henchmen came near them. Then, when Shame decides to take Batgirl as a hostage, Batman shoves Batgirl in front of him and says, "Take her! Take her!" Then, when Robin suggests to Batman that they should go after them, they decide, "not us!" How did Batman and Robin manage to make it back to the Bat Cave?
Was the Commissioner really that stupid in this particular episode, two direct hints that Batgirl was really his daughter yet he couldn't put the pieces together
"They,ve got Batgirl and we,ve got Fanny" "It hardly seems like a fair trade" "-Why could,nt you have been born an orphan?" brilliant stuff-That,s doubly funny to me, I was born an only twin <*¬)X
Batgirl must have still been affected by the fear gas, judging from the way she looked at Shame and sort of moved away from him when he came near her.
I agree:Yvonne Craig does an excellent job in this video playing a frightened Batgirl, as do Adam West and Burt Ward playing a frightened Dynamic Duo. If Batgirl wasn't gagged in this scene, she probably would had said to Shame, "Stay away from me!".
Batgirl is always the damsel because of the pig writers who thought women were nothing. Scoundrels and cads like that should be slapped across the face
I agree:the scared looks on the faces of Batman, Robin and Batgirl when they are squirted with the fear gas is priceless. The dialogue is also hilarious. Batgirl:Spare our lives, kind sir!" Batman:"We'd do the same for you! honest we would!" One of the best scenes of the show's third (and final) season.
well all the other Shame parts have been uploaded but YT seems to be stalled and their stuck in processing. I will give it a few hours and maybe upload them again.
"what is your right to know?"
for those wondering what frontier fanny says at the 9:02 mark

Bastards! An intentional two parter where the script wasn't changed to be individual episodes and no cliffhanger!

I love two things here:
1. Batman shoves Batgirl in front of him 'Stand in front of me, Batgirl!' And she sort of squeaks in terror
2. 'You're not to be trusted, Boy Wonder.' 'Well, neither are you!' and Robin's voice breaks lol hilarious

That's another reason why I love this scene, because she does look so scared and helpless, as a damsel should.

Great fight scene! Great henchmen, too! Fred's dialogue is classic! I also like Shame's tone when he says, "Get the diva's diamonds, Fred!"
