The game is a solid browser title and it possesses the recognizable "Tiberium" vibe. EA is brave, they suffer with the most harshest of fans. I think the majority of us don't want to give them another chance, because every time we do... They give us dick all in return, they release the game too quick and after a year they stop supporting it entirely.

This has happened too much. But it's also not the devs fault.

The only thing I can really hate on is C&C 4, but that doesn't matter.

Though I don't really approve of this (mind you I don't really like MMO'S to begin with) it's amazing how many are hating on it; it's not like they're calling this a sequel. It's a spin off and besides Westwood did something like this before; AKA Sole Survivor; a multiplayer deathmatch style game where each player controlled one unit from Command and conquer :P

If you don't like it; you don't have to play; no one's forcing you :)

If you took some time to visit the official forums, you'd see that the dev team actually has listened to us fans, and are making Generals 2 more classic. When EA fired Westwood was their biggest loss ever, that's a fact and can't be denied. Ever since, C&C have lost its fun sandbox-ish gameplay, but it still remains one of my favourite RTS Genres.

Nothing beats Total Annihilation anyway! :)

Because of the fact most c&c games EA they made didn't really got their fame (the games would have been more popular if it wasn't part of c&c), I think they are trying to go back to the roots of c&c... @ihavekankles I'm a CnC fan who's working on a YR mod and you sir are a numbnut. CnC4 is crap, we all agree on that. However, Generals is by far the most balanced game, CnC3 is currently the most beautiful of them and RA3 introduced unique ideas and was pretty balanced (didn't like excessive naval warfare tho). Westwood's CnC were flawed, namely due to crap AI. Like it or not, EA fixed those to make CnC much more enjoyable. You and the people who thumb you up can go drink a jar of piss.

Its not a joke at all you can check the C&C Generals 2 trailer if you want more proof.

As we speak, people are still playing the old and the new C&Cs. Also there are many mods being made for any C&C game with mod support. Theses modders are keeping the games alive. There are many great mods such as Tiberium Essence for TW and Shockwave for ZH.
