When I first read about this film I wondered why anyone would want to make another movie about J. R. Ackerley and his dog Queenie, since "We Think the World of You" already does it so well. But this is a completely different dimension of the story, with some of the most amazing use of animation I've ever seen.

This movie actually seems really good! I love the animation, its got an old-timey feeling that comes off more nostalgic than outdated. And the main character seems relatable to me. Oh and I just love german shepherds, I think they're such beautiful dogs! Its strange because I've never seen this movie, nor am familiar with the story, but its already pulled me in! That's a sign of great movie making imo.

But our culture has gotten so caught up in anthropomorphizing animals that the uneducated can only see the pejorative nature of the word. This looks like a wonderful film, and the artist has indeed captured the nature of a GSD bitch..one of God's greatest gifts to us!
