It was fake, it was an advertising joke. The idea was that they were demolishing their old restaurants because they were redesigning them so that they didn't look ordinary or look like every other restaurant. The joke is that the demolition crew mistook the restaurant next door (which wasn't a real restaurant, all special effects) for the old Ruby Tuesday, hence the reason that Ruby Tuesday was looking for a new, original look.

The structure they blew up was no restaurant. It was a prop used in a commercial/ marketing stunt. They used the parking lot in Harriman, Tennessee, where the actual restaurant has had redecoration.
