  • Can you make cubes on request for payment?

  • @matchattaxfan4 Sometimes.

  • @OskarPuzzle does it have to have a heart on it?

  • @Tman56182 No, that is just how I made it.

  • :D Oh!!! True Story???

  • dude you got to get a girlfriend and be like, hey babe you wanna solve my cube?

  • Lol

  • "They lived happily ever after."

    Oh, Oskar. You're too cute.

  • 1:44 he asked her to marry her. who is the second her

  • Using it to hide drugs. This guy is brilliant.

  • Wtf Nederlands: ik zocht 2jaar naar zoon ding en daar is hij

  • 4 people did not live happily ever after.

  • sooo gonna propose with this thing...

  • how can i pay you if im from mexico?

  • @MrNacho127 PayPal

  • but if you solve the 2 layers above the heart will it open ? if it do you can make a connection so it triggers another connection to the top layer so you have to solve the whole cube.

  • @sk8er3807 You only have to solve the heart and the layer below the heart. The layer opposite the heart does not need to be solved from what I understand.

  • thank u

  • *sniff* I love happy endings! *sniff*

  • corny but cool

  • @OskarPuzzle interesting work! Very impressive. Out of curiosity, does only the side with the heart open like that or would any side screw off if all of the other pieces are on?

  • @justttct Only the side with the heart comes off.

  • @OskarPuzzle what does commissioned mean? IK was doing a school project last night and I just couldnt find out what it means!

  • @kevinisanaaron "commission" = pay someone to do some work

  • @OskarPuzzle can you solve the heart plus the other 2 layers to open it? if so you cane make a trigger that triggers the heart layer so you have to solve the whole cube to open it.

  • you said "and he asked her to marry her." from 1:45-1:47

  • 1:45

and he asked her to marry her

  • @HVISprites You can buy it for 36$ if you are in the Jade Club.

  • Brilliant, simply brilliant. Oskar, you are my hero :D

  • To all these people who keep complaining about the price, I don't think Oskar is looking to sell a million prototypes of these puzzles. Of course, a custom made, individually printed puzzle isn't going to be cheap. Its annoying to see all these people who are complaining. Design a puzzle yourself that's as amazing as the ones Oskar designs and then see how many people complain when they can't have one for a cheap price. Nice work Oskar. I really enjoy your puzzles.

  • @naperbogs Thank you!

  • I hope that this could be in the market someday because I would love to buy one. I would buy it but I think the price is too high.Great Job Oskar!

  • @HVISprites It is on the market with Meffert's Jade Club

  • @OskarPuzzle Yup, I tried to go that route but got confused with the club. Should Mass produce for good price though. Every cuber would get it!

  • I want one!

  • If you put the opening side on the top and you then turn the bottom side, will you then be able to open it?

What about the mass-produced one, the treasure chest?

  • do u have to have the whole thing solved or just the top layer

  • does the heart still come off even if only the opposite side is scrambled, but no other layer?

  • @OskarPuzzle I am a huge fan of rubiks cubes and all around puzzles. I just found one of your videos and checked out your website and am in amazement at your creations and ability to design them with a 3d printer. This [gift cube] is my favorite, and one day when im not living paycheck to paycheck I plan on getting one and a Hollow Cube. I just want to say your creations are trully amazing. I am fully impressed and entertained watching your creations in motion.

  • @ArmitronWearer this puzzle is mass produced right now. Send me a pm if you want to kno how to get it.

  • i want one, seems like a good thing for a puzzle chain type thing, ect, could have a gift cube with a riddle inside leading to the location of a cryptex

  • only one problem. my GF wouldnt be able to solve it,

  • I DO!

  • This is perfect, but the girl that I'm after isn't the smartest...LOL!

  • nice place to keep money in ;)

  • But will it blend ?

  • Oskar I Would Say The Confusion With The 3D-Printing Comes From People Probably Wanting To Know How Much You Spent To Make That Specific Cube, Like This One For Example Maybe If You Put A Link To 3D-Printing Website, And How Much It Costed You To Make This Cube, They Would Get A Better Understanding.

  • LOL "he asked her to marry her and mindi said yes".

  • They lived happily ever after SO FAR!!!!!

  • he asked her to marry... Her?

  • @kopperman11 Lol I caught that too

  • I would never buy a puzzle because of that scratching noise it makes when turned. It gives me cold chills everytime

  • could you make more cubes like that and or make a tutorial on how to make the inside part

  • Sorry, I'm not gay......

  • you clean up pretty well Oskar

  • if you solved the lid layer and the middle layer, but not the last, could it still be opened?

  • ITS SO EXPENSIVE D: wahh. i wanted to try and make one. but the Mechanism is ridiculous

  • "asked HER to marry HER" Awkward....

  • Hey oskar just wondering if you solve just that side and layer and the second layer would it open??

  • Your puzzle videos are quite addicting

    nice vids :)

  • Brilliant idea! This could also be used to hold valuable items.

  • Какая, белеать, сопливая история. Похоже Менди умная.

  • @mineevd спасибо

  • @OskarPuzzle anyone else who gave thumbs up without understanding anything?

  • @OskarPuzzle now please tell me in english. LOL

  • Very great idea!

  • Nice look Oskar ;)

  • i always wanted something like this to protect valuable items like keys and rings from idiots

  • That design is actually brilliant.

  • cant you just solve the top two layers to open it?

  • So what you did was combine the mechanism of the hollow cube and the mechanism of the turn apart cube , and the hollow cube's mechanism is so that there could be a present (in this case the ring) inside of it , then the turn apart's mechanism is so that you could get the present (again the ring) out of it when it's solved , wow , how do you do it Oskar?

  • is it not for sale anymore? D:

  • You look great wearing a tuxido.

  • @OskarPuzzle 1.5 years old video and I just found this cube, I sent you a message, check your inbox please.

  • that's how I'll propose!!

  • You are probably one of the smartest men to wear a suit ever! I mean just coming up with these designs , and the inner mechanismis pure genius , yet some people just don't appreciate your genius , keep it up Oskar and never stop making these!

  • Why is it Unlisted?

  • I love it, but there is one flaw in that design. The person only need to solve the top two layers in order to open it. I'm still looking to see if there's a design to have it fully solved in order to be opened.

  • thumbs up if you got here by link!

  • A left-brained marriage request. How romantic...

  • would be nice to see this in a movie. Imagine terrorists send this cube to a police department with a remote buzzer that defuses a bomb.

  • that's so cute!!! :D

i would love to buy this except the pricing is a little too high for my budget :<

hopefully in the later future i will be able to afford it ^^

  • cooool and romantic

  • wouldn't it be awesome if you could get a partnership with a big company that mass produces your product like mefferts did with the cautioncube(gearcube)

  • brilliant idea behind this cube and video, lol

  • I wish you can mass produce this some day, very intelligent design.

  • not bad :D nice to say some one to marry him or her

  • I didn't know this 3d creation stuff exists.

I make my puzzles like Tony fisher. Just some saws, sanders, stickers and blocks of plastic. Private message me about this printing stuff. I need to look at it.

  • @KingOfAceZ1

Why not use the power of the internet to look up some documentaries instead of burdening Oskar with such a ludicrous request. I've known about 3D printing for YEARS! Did you know that there are 3D printers capable of printing organic matter? That there's a living breathing human being with 3D printed Kidneys?

  • This is awesome, but wouldn't you be able to solve just the one face and have it open? Or does the mechanism prevent that? and if so, would it matter what side you solved first?

  • awesome puzzle :D

  • PEOPLE! PEOPLE! He uses Shapeways, he does not have molds, so he cant mass-produce them. It takes him a LONG time to design the cubes using 3D programs, I bet though if he found some one who would make a thousand molds, split the paycheck, he would sell them for $20.99 a cube, im just saying.

  • Best accent ever.

  • OMG I want one but looks like no more are in production anymore :(

  • i so wanna buy this, how much :)

  • FoolyCoolyMabase makes a good point and your reply did not give a reason why you cant make this without using "3D-printed using nylon-powder SLS technology"

200+ for a piece of plastic or a next generation console? hmmmmmmm

  • @RAICANINE The reason that I make my prototypes "3D-printed using nylon-powder SLS technology" is that it is the cheapest option to make a single puzzle. If you or someone else would be offering to become my slave, and to make me prototypes for $10 per sample, I would be happy to take that offer. Still, I do not understand the discussions on the price. Try to buy a Rembrandt painting for a few bucks worth of canvas and paint. And if you prefer a next generation console, then just buy that!

  • Hehe, i like it :)

  • Why are your puzzles so expensive. This cube is $200+

  • @TheCp2388 Could you tell me why you decided to post this question, instead of just reading the description first? Or reading the many posts that asked exactly the same question?

  • lol ask her to marry HER xD

  • Can't you make low-cost versions of this in regular plastic?!?!? Because seriously, 250 bucks? You'd make much more profit if you sold them at, say, 20 bucks and made them of cheaper materials

  • @FoolyCoolyMabase I would lose a lot of money if I would sell at 10% of the production cost, as you suggest. As you can read in the description, 3D-printing has its cost.

  • @OskarPuzzle Isn't there an easier way to make these kind of custom puzzles, and at a cheaper price as well besides 3D printing it? Tony Fisher just uses plastic, yet they can sell for a reasonable price. Is it possible to make your puzzles the same way Tony Fisher does?

  • @Pwnzjoomom I would be happy to accept any offer to produce my puzzle for a lower price.

  • @OskarPuzzle If you plan to mass-produce them, I would suggest using factory machines, but if they are not mass-produced (which I doubt they are), then 3D printing is a good choice. I understand that you have to put a lot of money into designing these and making prototypes, not to mention paying for the 3D printer, website, and all the time you invest into creating these. Nice cubes and God bless.

  • Step one: Put expensive ring in cube

Step two: Fail at solving it

    Step three: Rage

  • You must some sort of mechanical genius to come up with so many novel cubes

  • Great stuff Oscar. I am amazed with you creations. I was also commissioned twice to make engagement ring boxes (check my profile) but sculptural, based on Disney movies and not puzzle. Great idea, but my girlfriend wouldnt solve this :)

  • I take it you only have to solve the top two layers in order to be able to open it?

  • @YoeriYoeri Correctly deduced

  • That's a great story.

  • wait, so let me get this straight he only married the lady who knows how to solve a rubiks cube?!?!?!?! no offense to your friend but that is kinda nerdy

  • LOL

  • Don't you just need to get the first 2 layers with the heart side first?

  • Do you know the Rubik's Bank? It's quite similar to this, it has a hollow Ballcore inside. You put in some coins and in the solved position you can open it.

  • Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

  • i like this cube :)... but sadly i dont have enough money :(

  • he makes cubes of marrage

  • Where can I buy this

  • @Origamimaster1397 Sorry, I only sell this puzzle to people who take the effort to read the description, and who understand the cost of 3D-printing.

  • Lookin' sharp!

  • can you open the cube if the side opposite the red is still scrambled? it looks like the entire cube does not have to be solved

  • this is y its essential to know how to solve a rubiks cube

  • hapily ever after, THE END.

  • @drago01267 LOLs

  • I would buy this if it were mass produced, minus the heart stickers. Perhaps if it were mass produced, it could come with two sticker sets?

  • how strong is it pleas reply

  • @legolover229 Nylon. Indestructable.

  • @OskarPuzzle i bet i could break it....

  • why is this cube so expensive? its like $300

  • @mangaman1o1 This puzzle was 3D-printed using nylon-powder SLS technology, which explains its price. It is the very first prototype, costing its designer and maker a lot of money to create. Please do not confuse it for a cheap mass-produced puzzle.

  • Cop proof stash box!

  • The inside mechanism to this puzzle sort of looks like the void cube. I wonder if one could be modded into a gift cube? Please respond to my idea.

  • Very formal in this one.

  • were is your head puzzle?

  • @rubikappleipodguy Just search OskarPuzzle for Vanity Cube, and there you are.

  • Want one! Nice one, Oskar! :)

  • @Juandiskywalker80 Well, you can buy one ...

  • OMFG im so subing

  • OMG THIS IS SO COOL I SWEAR TO GOD

my birthday is may 24, which is when you uploaded it and its called the "gift" cube. Thats so cool!!

  • I WANT ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • is that ring made of plastic?

  • @liv4sk8boarding Yes, it is the 3D-printed Sixth Sense puzzle ring, see youtube.com/watch?v=EdjWlmrYu1k

  • nice story

  • @epickphailblog Flip it over

  • that so sweat

  • You finally solve the Rubik's cube, then you open it to find another tedious puzzle inside it (the sixth sense). These twisted people!!

  • @edsucksfredrocks its like he makes a never ending chain of puzzle boxes like this from like a 11x11 gift box down to a 2x2 gift box, and all just for a peice of bubble gum :)

  • @yit2525 haha.

  • Wow! Great work Oskar!!!

  • What an amazing story :)

  • but not wit ze stone n ze sword i love germans sorry if your not

  • Why the hell does this cube cost 250$ ???

  • @BPearase Each part is individually 3D-printed. 3D printing is a costly process, taking $1.50 per printed cubic centimeter or more.

  • Aww! How sweet! ROFL!

  • thats amazing!

  • really good story behind the cube

  • That was easily the best story ever told involving a Rubik's Cube.

  • i have a question..

do you need to solve all 3 layers to unlock it? or can the lid open from solving the top 2 layers only?

i might be wrong but it looks like only the top 2 need solving .. can you clarify this please oskar?

thank you and keep up the great work

  • @EMPER0RC0W You are correct, two layers is sufficient.

  • @OskarPuzzle wouldnt be great if you can design a puzzle which only unlocks with a full solve??

i think that would make it an even greater puzzle :D

another idea would be maybe making it a 3x3x2 ... that way you dont need the extra layer ...

anyway i love your work .. i just ordered a twist and slide and i cant wait to recieve it

  • why is it so expensive?

  • @hakansson20 It costs a lot of money to make them. I mean, these people have to make a profit to earn a living.

  • @prosper58 Thank you for the support. Some corrections. Not "these people", I am a single person. Not "profit", I am just trying to earn back my expensive prototypes. Not "make a living". This is a hobby that costs me money. Oskar

  • @OskarPuzzle You're welcome, sorry for not being right. What I meant by "these people" was independents like you who come up with these ideas and sell them. I really like your cubes. You're very creative. Thumbs up for you.

  • My congrats to the newlyweds :D

This is such a sweet concept for a puzzle!

  • looking at the best pictures i can find, i can't see how the lid would not come off making simple U turns. however, you locked the top with just one U turn. are the notches indeed unique to the solved state? or can the lid come off when the top layer is oriented and not permuted?

  • where could i get one of these

  • @mangaman1o1 Sorry, I sell this puzzle only to people who take the effort to view the full video, or to read the description.

  • great story! and awsome puzzle!

  • ahah, very original ! :D

  • 300$ is still ridiculous, i don't care if the puzzle is made of pure silver, 300$ is just stupid, It's made of plastic so i don't think it would take that much money to make it, so does it take like 10 hours of solid work to make the cube, wtf

  • @tunawrangler1 Each puzzle is individually 3D printed. 3D printing is costly. If you like this puzzle and accept this price, then please buy it. In any case be kind, as the inventor has spent a lot of personal money and time into this puzzle.
