awesome video, used to have a 96 ranger and was upset i couldnt get my hands behind there to put new silverstar bulbs in my 2010 ranger. didnt even know it had those tabs till i watched this. thanks again!
Thanks. I thought that's the way it should work, but the left clip wasn't budging, so I was afraid I was going to break it out of ignorance. Now I'll just give it a bit more force and it should work. I noticed you were having a bit of trouble with that same clip. seems tighter than the other one... Thanks again.
Thank you for the video. I couldn't figure out where the clips were or how they worked. I won't say that this procedure didn't need tools, though. My sturdy old screwdriver came in handy for convincing stubborn parts to move.
@1aauto I have a 93 Ranger what is the difference in changing the headlight as stated above I just need a blub but have to take it apart to get to it...lol
The procedure for my 1997 Ranger is different. The headlight assembly doesn't have the same lift latches or adjustment screws. Your video was helpful in that I easily replaced the bulb as you showed but without removing the assembly.
be careful separating the old bulb from each socket the plastic latch is pretty crappy I broke half of the latch on the driver side light and just duct taped it together after words.
Thanks! I had to change the headlight bulb in my Ford Ranger tonight, and this video was very helpful. The hardest part was knowing that the tabs popped up, which I learned from this video.

@LurkerNDDark Agreed never hurts to have a few tools around especially when you need to do a little "convincing"

@joeldude76 Hmmm, looks like you are right. Thanks for pointing that out.

This wont work for 93-97 except taking the bulb out. This would most likely be for 98-10 rangers. The title should be changed....

@93Purpleranger Looks like you are right, may have hit a 3 instead of an 8.

Great video, but you mention in the video that the headlight assembly is pretty much the same from 1993. I have a '93 and it's nowhere near the same.

@joshuaGFU The procedure is the same. The lights are different year to year.
