This makes me sad, as to what has happened to music these days. I'm sad most of my generation doesn't get to appriciate this music. All they hear is crap with auto tune, and that "UNCE UNCE UNCE UNCE UNCE UNCE" beat... Eh....
I am 47 years old and can still remember driving with my father in his 1975 Cadillac with Sinatra on the radio what a great time in my life the late 70's thing were still pretty good yet. Now it seem everything has turned to shit, especially music.
@poppygohome Yep, the mid to late 70's was the last feeble hurrah of the Old Republic. Before the Dark Times when a Faustian deal was made with the Banksters in 1982 and America was found pregnant with the Devil's Spawn - the NWO.
The times are here when the music of Frank Sinatra and his contemporaries have become museum pieces. His voice, music, and natural talent are already alien and incomprehensible to a lost generation that celebrates Bieber, ICP, hip hop, rockabilly, etc.
Hey bada bing bada boom, this makes me wanna go to noo yawk and grab a nice cup a joe at diz joint in da city named time skway-yaa! .ah fuhgetaboutit I live in new yawk already. XD
Frank is just simply THE clearest, most concise voice ever! No comparisons! And, you don't ever have to wonder what the lyrics are.....you can HEAR them....clean and real! He's BOSE.... in a voice!
@wilswasit104 I know!!! I wonder what it was like to hear him sing without a microphone, 5 feet away from you. It must have been like hearing heaven :D ( and I'm not even religious!)
check out leo decaprio's "catch me if u can" - there's a part in the movie where he's trying to escape from the miami int'l airport - when this song comes up, dicaprio is walking with some babes posing as a pilot with his flight attendant staff - men, the song matches so well with what's going on in the movie that i bet you'll love it instantly! enjoy!
@thecopykidofthestarz Probably would go a little like this, They would look at me kinda funny then say, "What the fuck did you say? You some kinda fruit? What the fuck is your problem, get your fucking dumb ass out of here! You fucking queer!" Something like that....Oh and I am not gay by the way it was meant as more of a joke to the Joshposh1993 guy.
Yes, this is a live version with Count Basie & Orch, in Vegas. The song is extraordinary, replete with a key change in the middle of the bridge, which "takes off" just like the classy "TWA connie" the song commemorates. Sinatra's vocal is totally "live" and there's so much presence - front row seat ain't bad, eh bub?

This selection is from his live album at the "Sands" in Vegas. If you don't have the cd, it still is available, or you can download off iTunes. The whole album is great. The band performing with him was the Count Basie Orchestra, and the album was arranged by Quincy Jones. Can't get better than that...Frank was the "coolest" guy ever, and talk about "class". He had it all.
Hey! You're fifteen-year-old, and listen "The Voice"!? This is "almost" incredible! It's a really good starting point. Some of your age or oldest, don't be acquainted with the Great old music. Now go on with Elvis, Buddy Holly, The Beatles, John Lennon, Pink Floyd, Hendrix, Led Zeppelin... The last but not least: Frank...Zappa (Look at my channel) Bye bye!

why not just leave his classic riddle/sinatra album version from the 50's with all this extra nonsense removed. the way he used to strictly stick to the arrangement and lyrics are the gold. all this later pseudo-clever banter and extra riffs are an intrusion. just pure 50's frank, pleeze!
