  • best credits i've seen in my life

  • the only film where the end credits is one of the best parts of the film

  • Its like hes speaking to GOD himself with anger and repentance in 3:10

  • What is the name of this song?

  • anyone with a keen eye and a nerdy lifestyle will have noticed the uploaders 'world of warcraft' cursor.

  • The way he made it in warfare in the movie is so sad that one man a man in hell for what he did could get all the germans to believe that jews were bad even though they are people like you and me

  • The ending is shit because the german died just by being in a prison camp and Szpilman never went back after to save the german officer and he helped Szpilman. I know that if i was Szpilman i would go back for the german officer

  • @HandyAssassins the German guy is now considered a hero in Poland and has got other medals for his actions to Szpilman, read the guys biography on Google.

  • @HandyAssassins Szpilman didnt identify the officer that saved his life until 1950 and he did try to save him with the help of the poles for two years for his release but he died due to sever forced labor

  • One of the worlds best moveis of all time

  • This is the best interpretation of this piece, without any doubt.

  • @vbatuhan Yes, I think you are right it's beautiful. I often think of Chopin and what a lovely person he must have been to have produced such poetic music. M

  • I think I like Yundi played this piece. But pretty good

  • I would like this, but it has 420. sorry.

  • this song uses every piano key. it has so much contrast and the key sig. changes are infinite..

  • Justin Bieber could not learn this in his lifetime.

  • i just love that song

R.I.P. Wilm Hosenfeld n Oskar Schindler.

  • R.I.P Wilm Hosenfeld.

  • @DanielsCZ Do your research before you make yourself look stupid. Don't speak so soon.

  • Thanks Polanski for such a beautiful film

  • I'm going to have to grow a few more fingers to learn this!

  • Gorgeous Chopin's Andante Spianato and Grand Polonaise Brillante, certainly one of a kind romantic song.

What a great interpretation of Olejniczak!!

  • if you look carefully you can see some of the german officers in the crowd. Funny that lol.

  • Grande Polonaise Brillante, Op 22, love it :)

  • Its sad to know that the German Officer died in such conditions with no sympathy, but at least he died knowing he was a hero to someone.

  • @kris242 if you check his biography he has been honored as a hero. But I still agree he died in a shitty way

  • Quien interpreta esta pieza para la película?

  • @willy8900

The name of the pianist is Janusz Olejniczak from Poland

  • @fassanuma Muchas Gracias!

  • You dont understand how much it annoys me that you keep moving that facking cursor!

  • i think this is the only time i watched end credits for more than 7 minutes.....

  • 2 people have no taste for music .|.

  • @LyrixxGurl @kris242 yes he had to learn the piano for the movie, but it wasn't enough for him to play Chopin's works, if they had waited for him it would have taken 10 years to finish the movie :D so they had a real musician play the songs :D

  • This is so epic... *-*

  • just... BEAUTIFUL!

  • 2 Dislikes are Nazis.

It's wrong to dislike videos like these...

  • @LyrixxGurl

He did have to more or less learn to play Chopin on piano for the movie, though. So at times I don't even know if he really is playing or not.

  • 0 dislikes = Win!

  • @TheGuyWhoJustShotYou AND I JUST DISLIKED IT! just kidding I liked it :)

  • @TheGuyWhoJustShotYou 2 dislikes now... but still WIN :D

  • @TheGuyWhoJustShotYou 5 dislikes = fail

  • perfect

  • It was sad but unfortunately so truthful and just brilliant movie-masterpiece from master Roman Polanski. He did a great job and deserved his Oscar. The same with Adrien Brody - phenomenal acting!!! The whole cast was great. The Pianist is one of my favorite War movies - along with Escape from Sobibor (1987), Schindler's List (1993), Life Is Beautiful (1997), Savior (1998) and Black Book (2006).

  • whats the name of that song?

  • @rickyzpta96 its Chopin's Grande Polonaise!

  • Great movie!

  • That was beautiful.

  • There are little things flying around poking Adrien Brody's nose :D

  • This has got to be one of the most intricate pieces of music ever written for the piano. I can play only the first 40 seconds before my hands give out.

  • MOVE THE DAMN CURSOR! 0_o

  • i hate that mouse click

  • My favourite interpretation. Perfect speed, perfect articulation, perfect.

  • Those fingers gave one hell of a performance.

  • I love it :)

  • I commented on the cursor a long time ago...it is not from WoW...it is from warcraft 3. 90% of WoW players have never even played Warcraft 3 and just assume they know what they are talking about.

  • It's Chopin's Andante Spianato et Grande Polonaise Brillante in E flat major, op. 22

  • @jusufmula we knooow ;)

  • whats teh piece called?

  • To me this version by Janusz Olejniczak is the best!!!!! Musicality and phrasing!!... this is a REAL POLONAISE! By the way, how I laughed when I saw the people of carton in the box at 0:48!! HAHAHA and I think in the rows at the same time Wladeck's brother is there!! "but" in the movie all his family was killed, including his brother... Anyway he's there. Obviously "the people of carton" were made because they couldn't pay for more people. I just tell this because I saw it and think it's funny!.

  • after so much hes been through, thats insane!

  • @MrDirectorMan18

Amazing that he had the drive to continue playing after losing everything...his family, his love interest, his home, his possessions, his health...everything.

  • hey i know that cursor! XD

  • @BlackbeanTofu yea it is wow cursor xD i am a wow player :)

  • @BlackbeanTofu so do i xD

  • lol wut..?

    world of warcraft?

  • @PVumbe yea WoW cursor is blinking there :)

  • your cursor...

    sad world of warcraft player...

  • @SystemzOverload why sad ? its the best game i have ever played :)

  • would've been great except for the mouse moving everywhere

  • we watched this movie for the first time in school a few days ago, and we watched the whole credits. everyone was sitting there waiting, bored, for it to end while I, being a musician myself, was glued to the screen the whole time. same with the scene where he performs for the german soldier. it was really quite funny.

  • @KoolitsKitKat dude i aint no musician, but my face was glued to every scene

  • YOU GET OF WORLD OF WARCRAFT YOU!!.

  • uuuh!...shiny piano x3

  • This movie made me cry so hard, and not just because I'm a piano player. The ending... my sister was like, "Aw it's so happy!" and I was sitting there bawling like a baby.

  • putaaaaaaaaaaaaa! o:

  • See 2:41 - It IS Janusz Olejniczak.

  • Polanski should make another WWII movie

  • what's the name of this song?

  • @Ayydeeziie Chopin's Grande Polonaise Brillante Op 22.

  • He actually played this piece, look it up

  • I have the DVD The Pianist & from watching the "How it Was Made" segment I can say.... Yes.... Adrian did actually play the piano in the film he had intensive lessons for a couple of months prior & during the shooting of the film.... As a Classically trained Pianist, I have to give Mr. Brody every compliment under the sun for achieving in a matter of months what takes others years to perfect....

  • @MsTazTime I find that very very hard to believe. There's absolutely no way anybody could learn this in a few months from scratch unless they were a genius.

  • the name of the pianist is Janusz Olejniczak

  • This is the best performance of this Polonaise I have ever heard. I do not even know the name of the pianist. It proves that there are so many unknown great pianists in our midst. Thank you for posting.

  • adrien brody played some pieces like chopin prelude in the beggining and chopins ballade no 1.But the last song the grand brilliante played by a polish pianist i dont remember his name..

  • 3:15 is amazing

  • Those are some sexy wrists, despite all that velocity.

  • i applauded at the end too :'(

  • this is a really wonderful movie. i HONESTLY cried through mostly all of it because it was so touching. i feel bad for all the people who died just because they were jews. i feel bad for what Wladyslaw Szpilman had to go through. but im glad he got out of the situation and was lucky to have god and captain wilm hosenfeld on his side. i just really wish i had gotten the chance too meet him so i can hear his story and how he felt through his mouth.

  • im amazed about fact the piano could be used like this. but the music sometimes could make more sense .

  • I wonder who's hands those are....

  • @kklollypop Those are Janusza Olejniczaka's hands .. I believe .

  • Was Adrien Brody playing?

  • @SudoPollo i dont think so

  • @dangerdaniels1205 yes he was, he had a piano instructor for this. The name is in the credits.

  • @SudoPollo he was actually playing this piece

  • @dangerdaniels1205

actually, every time you see him at the piano, he is really playing. When it's just hands being featured, it's a professional pianist.

  • @dangerdaniels1205 some parts.

  • @SudoPollo Christopher Reeve actually could fly??

  • @EarthquakeMachine Uuum, why are you asking me that?

  • @EarthquakeMachine Uuum, why are you asking me that?

  • @SudoPollo sorry man, is obvious that brody aint playing,,,, c´mon r u joking?

  • @EarthquakeMachine I asked for a reason, though he was playing, sorry r.r

  • @SudoPollo no no,, I apologize 2 u,, sorry 4 the ironic words

    c u

  • @SudoPollo I think so but he does play the piano he learned just 4 months before he made this

  • @modrenwarefare Roman Polanski wanted to make the scenes a bit more realistic, so Adrian took a bit of piano before shooting. Thanks to this, some of the playing IS actually by Adrian Brody. However, this excellent piece is performed by Janusz Olejniczak as stated in the credits.

  • no it was a man that looks just like him got to well of course utube and put in the man playing the pianist song and looks just like him or something like that and it shows a video of the guy that was accutally playing the piano

  • is that the World of Warcraft cursor I see ?

  • @jollyguy998

    yea it is :D

  • i can see your wow cursor

  • @JakemanTube

  • amazing - simple - i lov this
