  • boy those shorts oh how the times have changed

  • Jordan said Ehlo was the toughest defender he had to face. In this instance MJ rose to the challenge.

  • lol Jordan is always pwning Ehlo

  • @xmontash1 Jordan pawned everyone especially who played in the swing-man position having more chance to guard him.

  • michael jordan always have his way with the cavs, they just couldn't stop him for years and there were more of what jordan did on ehlo

  • At :11 he kicks the guy onto the groud lol

  • Michael JORDAN is the greatest entertainer of all time.

  • Buzzer beater....Look at that hang time lmaooo Air Jordan. He jumps, then tells gravity when he feels like landing.

  • way better than #1

  • @Gruba1001 very true

  • There was nothing better than this dagger stuck so deeply in the heart of the Cavs. OK, well, kicking the Piston's butt on their home court and watching them walk off so ungraciously might have been better.

  • a moment people will never forget

  • How is this not top 10?

  • Poor Ehlo. His experience even seemed more miserable than Bryon Russel's in '98. lol

  • Poor Cleveland The Shot is one of many dramatic sports moments that have come at the expense of a Cleveland team for like : Red Right 88, The Catch, The Drive, The Fumble, The Decision, The Move and the 1997 World Series.

  • @Smiley5752 I'm sorry, the move?

  • @OldSchoolECW

Go Google it instead to get a better understanding of it.

  • @Smiley5752 Eh? How is the browns getting sold a bad moment in Cleveland's sport history? First off we got them back, second off who the fuck cares they're a shitty team then and they're a shitty team now. I don't consider that a moment that deserves to be on the list.

  • @OldSchoolECW

well too bad cause it's still a part of a dramatic moment that just happen to come at their expense and stop with the complaining cause it's still going to remain there plus it ain't that serious to want to start an argument.

  • @Smiley5752 I wasn't trying to start an argument, it's called an opinion.

  • @Smiley5752 and also the LeChoke of 2008 and 2009

  • Yeah, I always felt bad for Ehlo too because he was a great player and he was forever only remembered for this. But such is the legacy of Michael; he dominated the 90's, and when there's winners, there has to be losers.

  • the two people who disliked this are ehio and malone

  • gatorade commercial

  • They've missed one game - 1995 IND ORL Game 4 Conf Finals, 4 lead changes in the last 13.3 sec with Shaq fouled out. Penny, Reggie, Smit etc best playoff game finish ever

  • what.?

  • every time i watch this video i think jordan kick his ass

  • craig ehlos like not in my house jordan *jordan makes it* i quit

  • Why is this not higher? It's the shot for crying out loud!

  • Elho banged up his ankle on the drive before when he laid it in :(

  • Anyone see how high he jumped AFTER the shot? Dang.

  • in the middle of 0:09 and 0:10, the air jordan symbol without the ball.

  • what! this is only #20?!

  • what seris is this, the finals or east conference? and what year?

  • @OutspokenNaysayer Believe it or not, this was a 1st round series.

  • MJ > LBJ Always

  • did u see the air time ;d

  • should be # 1

  • I'm watching all these in a row right now. Jordan already has 4 in the top 20. The man is the GOAT. He did it when it counts.

  • That was actually pretty good defense by Ehlo....but what are ya gonna do?

  • This should of been a top 10 moment easily...I know it was a firt round matchup but if I remember correctly the Bulls were 0-11 against Cleveland that year and this was the shot that put MJ officially on the map across the country.

  • Fist pump like a champ!!!!

  • Ha Bulls still lost to the Pistons that season anyway.

  • @thenintendogamer dude thats because that is MJ's story. Its like a movie, you have to fail first to succeed.

  • @pkbosslac THis list was like in 2006 or something, of course Kobe's moments 7 years later would not make it ;)

  • theehibachi, is 5 7, American and can dunk easily. what do you mean white guys can't dunk? It's simply about the training individuals do to get their particular leg strength to be high enough to dunk. But for me, I just used the exercising workout over at (50-inch-vertical[dot]com)

  • michael jordans like ill just float here til you fall and hit this shot...

  • not only did that shot win them the game and series, but that shot shut down the cavs for a good few years. It wasn't until Lebron came along did they become a legit threat again.

  • Absolutely the best rendition of "No Competition" ever exemplified in the NBA! Everyone in the stadium and around the globe knew which player would get that ball, and there was nothing anyone could do to keep him from winning!

  • This is by far the #1 sports moment.

  • kobe is going to have a shot like this..he's had many but.......I NEED THIS EXACT REPLICA.....

  • 0:11 excessive celebration lol

  • @bigdaddymatty17 uh, they won the series with this shot. not excessive at all.

  • Let me guess the dislikes came from Greg Ehlo kids

  • 0:12 bitch in the back tryin to say he didnt get it off on time then realizes she's wrong

  • why the hell isn't this number 1?

  • THE SHOT! Holy fuck man...

  • 0:09 GHOST KICK LMAOO

  • Comment removed

  • EHLO!!!!!! he's soooo mad

  • I remember making shots playing with my friends when I was really little and imitating Jordan's celebration. (Even as a Knicks fan.)

  • I'm a Kobe fan as well, but this was legendary. Still feel sad for Karl and John. They really deserved at least 1 ring!

  • lol Craig Ehlo just fainted on the hardwood

  • love it

  • As a Pacers fan I hate the Bulls and I have hated them since they got MJ. The Pacers would've won the East FInals in 1998 if it weren't for Jordan in CHicago.

  • @CGtrojans11 A lot of teams would have won if it weren't for MJ and the Bulls. The Knicks, Heat, Pacers, Cavs would have probably won at least one title in the 90s.

  • beardedfetus... best comment ever!!!!

  • Anyone who thinks Lebron is better than Michael is fucking stupid... Kobe is the closest to Jordan and he isn't even close!

  • 20,273 in stunned silence!

  • the best ever! where were you on that one Kobe?

  • 0:09 the wite guy just randomly fell over

  • Number 2,Sellers looked like he was trying to bone Micheal Jordan for making the shot, watch it a few times,He was overly excited, dry humping Michael Jordan,he was really getting into it.

  • So Epic.

  • NICE

  • this was #20, and sampson's shot was #11? geez. this should be in the top 10 at least.

  • The inbounds pass comes in to Jordan. Here's Michael at the the foul line a shot on Ehlo... GOOOOOD ! The Bulls win ! They win it !

    Man, that's epic...

  • hahaha look at the cleveland fans

  • The most famous buzzer beater of all-time. In the grand scheme of things - this shot was much bigger playoff moment than MJ's 63 point game. It should be ranked higher.

  • How is this the 20th greatest playoff moment!?! It should at least be in the top 10!!

  • Personally, my favorite Jordan shot of all time. What a great move and the reaction, everything is priceless.

  • I read an article that Craig Ehlo wrote and he said this shot basically ruined his life. He hit a massive shot right before this to give the Cavs the lead and then he had to watch himself just get annihilated over and over and over on Gatorade commercials.

  • @jhutsal22 course less we forget (and most people dont know this) but ehlo wasnt expected to play in this game. If he didnt play in this game, he wouldn't have been the one trying to block his shot.

  • @DASCO2136, I think it's safe to say that if Ehlo hadn't played that game there would have never been "The Shot". Ehlo poured in 15 in the 4th quarter and made a fabulous go ahead layup with 3 seconds left. If not for his offensive effort the Bulls might have taken the lead early in the 4th quarter and never looked back.

Incidentally I happened to see that today, August 11th, is Craig Ehlo's 50th birthday and for some reason decided I had to go see The Shot again.

  • god

  • superior

  • 0:11 is the Jordan logo

  • @TheSharks1234567890 im a kobe fan but i still think jordan is better then bryant

  • This should have been higher than number 20 because it was a series ending shot

  • this is one of the most recognizable players and one of the most recognizable plays but there are still 19 plays better? idk it mite be me.....

  • This should be in at least the top 10 greatest moments.

  • looks like he kicks the other player when he jumps.. lol

  • The greatest shot Jordan took

  • dang look at that jump after the shot lol

    wow thats high

  • this should be # 1. probably the best buzzer beater in nba history. it is really difficult to control the ball when you jump like that. and if you think of the pressure in a game situation like that... just insane..

  • Comment removed

  • thats 1

  • What's more impressive; the shot or the jump two seconds later?

  • heheh kobe dont play solid defense?! maybe pippen also wasnt a good defensor?

  • damd! mj the game winner series

  • MJ looked like he was freakin hovering during that shot.

    GOAT

  • This is probably the most infamous basketball moment in Cleveland sports history by far.

  • @DASCO2136 Even more infamous than LeBron leaving?

  • @AwesomeDude541 not anymore

  • OMG THE HANG TIME......if he shot it right away, he would have got blocked by elho. Wow he pumped it once then shot it....

  • I always felt sorry for Craig Ehlo. He had a monster game that night and was making all the shots he never made, that 3was the game of his life...and then MJ comes and sticks it to him, making the series winning shot in his face. That is why the guy reacts so frustrated at the end...

  • Well that's what Jordan was known for. No matter how good the star on the other team was on a given night, he would erase all their hard work in the end, seeing as how MJ was the most clutch player in NBA history.

  • MJ's 1st buzzer beater!!

  • what about the college finals winner?

  • Comment removed

  • holy shit i remember this shit man. i was in my mothers womb

  • @bigboycory2

LOL!!!! You remember it in your mother's womb?! Ah...that was classic. Thanks! I needed that laugh!!!

  • best reaction ever. So pumped...

  • This never gets old

  • can someone post thid vid without music and just audio

  • Sometimes I could pick watching this over sex

  • good for you . . .

  • and all the time i pick sex over watching this

  • @DASCO2136 you goddamn sexual animal you

  • i dont blame myself for this since i live in Cleveland after all.

  • @beardedfetus Must not be very good sex.... :/

  • @nelmsjerrod hahaha sex happens quite often, this only happens once:.) however good burn lol

  • @beardedfetus All in good fun, my friend. Amazing moment in NBA history by, without a doubt, the best in league history.

  • @beardedfetus I just did.

  • Why isn't this in the top ten?

  • The thing is LeBron's shot didn't have NEAR the pressure. Jordan had failed to exit round 1 through this point in his career. This shot was in the final game of the series. This shot DECIDES the entire series, one shot. They were down by 1, if he misses they go home. Way more clutch than having an 0-2 hole which while bad, doesn't eliminate them.

    Jordan > LeBron

  • This is more than a classic - definitely top 10

  • Ehlo will forever be Jordan's bitch

  • #20? C'mon. Classic.

  • o come on, this is one of the most memorable plays in NBA history, top 10 easily

  • should be number in top 10

  • I love how Ehlo falls down after MJ jumps. Classic.

  • how came this isn't any higher? i mean the play has its own name

  • Because the series didn't mean a whole lot. Neither team had a real shot at the championship.

MJ's best moments are still to come.

  • @lujavana It wasn't in the NBA finals.

  • i think you forgot the several "defensive player of the year" awards that jordan won. i do not see kobe and lebron winning those awards. so jordan was the great on both sides of the court. but seriously stop comparing those players, that was a completely different time with different rules.

  • jordan just won 1 you stupid dude

    know your shit before talking...

    go to wikipedia...

  • Kobe has consistently been in the 1st team all-defensive his entire career. And that's very impressive considering guys like Bruce Bowen are in the NBA only for their defense, and monster centers like Dwight Howard in the paint.

  • @THeMuFFiNmAN81

Kobe should not be on all-defensive team. That's total biasedness...when has dude ever made a game sealing steal or played defense to where you think, I NEED his defense out on the court. They just give it to him just to do it! If he was anybody else but Kobe, he wouldn't make the 1st...I'd be hard pressed to even let him be second team. His defense is just not good enough.

  • Kobe making the all defensive teams in the early 2000's is downright questionable, but today in in recent years, he improved much and is no, a true, good perimeter defender.

  • typo: 'no' is 'now'

    btw, ain't a Lakers/Kobe fan. GO MAVS!

  • MuFFiNmAN

First of all, Kobe makes it because he's popular, not because he plays solid defense. Second, there aren't many good defenders in the league, so sometime he'll make it by default.

And third, what the hell does Dwight Howard have to do with Kobe making a defensive team?

  • MJ has 6 championships and won Finals MVP in all of them. He led a 72 win team and has 3 MVP awards (he deserves way more because he dominated from about 88-89 to 97-98 with his baseball retirement being the only interuption). Lebron has 0 championshps and Kobe has 3 but was not the best player on those teams.

Kobe has no chance to catch Jordan because his title window is closing and Lebron I have my doubts, he has the talent but will he develop the post game to dominate?

  • Jordan played well into his 30's. Kobe is 30 or 31 and has 4 rings, and with the Lakers squad I'm sure Kobe's gonna get at least 2 more rings along w/ the finals MVp to boot

  • nope his reign stops here

  • I agree with you 100%. Jordan shot ended their season and Lebron shot tied the series. A series that she should have been up 2-0. Now their down 3-2. If Lebron wants to be considered the best he has to win this series and win in the finals or they will all say he choked

  • who ever thingks lebrons better is fuckin insaine, MJ is the best there is, was, and will ever be. i'm a kobe fan and i'm not stupid enough to say he's better than MJ.

  • @snoofytheseal2 finally a true basketball fan

  • Someone said that was good defense, but the Pistons would never have let Jordan even touch the ball. Also, Ehlo makes the mistake of going for the ball when the correct move is to stick the hand in the face of the shooter. Odds are you aren't going to block it unless your first name is Hakeem, so try to obscure his vision.

  • how is lebron's shot harder than this shot by MJ? LOL lebron got the ball and just took the shot without being contested. MJ had to get the ball, dribble, jump while flying from right to left, hang and wait until ehlo landed then shoot the ball while coming down. How is lebron's shot harder than MJ's shot? LOL freaking mo-mos

  • hey all u ppl who keep saying lebon is better than MJ bcuz of that shot he hit on the magic...

dont forget lebron n crew blew a 23 point lead and that shot only TIED the series. the cavs were supposed to win that game

when jordan did it they were supposed to get swept by those cavs. this shot WON the series. so plz everyone get on lebrons nuts and give it up to the real king that no one can touch....MJ23

  • greatest player to ever wield the circular pigskin!

  • I'm not going to take anything away from Lebron's shot. Just the fact that there is even a valid comparison to make says something about how good it was.

All I'm saying is that to match the theatrical value of MJ over Ehlo, the celebration needed to be better, and at least one Magic player needed to look like they'd just had a coronary. Ehlo's reaction as that shot fell is a big part of what make the moment so legendary.

  • Jordan OVER Lebron ANYDAY!

  • please don't een compare MJ23 to lebron james..

  • They are actually trying to make Lebron's shot bigger than Jordan's. No, the media is reaching.

  • Lebron did have less time and it was a 3 pointer. But it is Jordan that we are talking about and he went on to win the whole thing. So I don't know. The thing is you got to look @ Lebron's shot 20 years from now.

  • My thing is Jordan's shot ended a series. A series the Bulls weren't supposed to win. Lebron's shot tied a series 1-1 that was not supposed to even be competitive, although if you've watch any of the Magic/Cavs games you'd know that the Magic had a better chance to win. But the Cavs are down 3-1 now in a series they were supposed to dominate, his shot meant nothing.

  • funny thing about it. its not even competitive, lebron has to be superman for 4 straight quarters for his team to win. so sad.

  • 20 years from now I see a shot that did nothing but extend the series which ended up in a loss anyway.

20 years from now, I see Jordan's shot and see the famous fist pump, winning a a series that came down to one final shot.

  • it was tougher but jordan's was more clutch. the entire series came down to his shot and he hit it. lebrons was sick but it meant nothing in the end. if the cavs win that series its one of the best shots in playoff history but they didn't.

  • is it his fault they didnt win. No he averaged 40ppg in the playoffs and they still lost. also if lebron didnt make this shot the cavaliers wouldve got zipped cuz it was 3-1 when cavs went back to home court. so meant nothing. it meant that lebron is here to take after jordan

  • lebron will NEVER be half the man or player jordan ever was even in his rookie year. if you think otherwise your a silly kid who probably listens to rap and sucks their thumb.

  • lol looks whos talking u thumbsucking shit ass. lebron wont be half the man jordan was. first of all he already is idiot. second of why do they call lebron the next jordan? curse them out then. also what proof do u have that jordan was better than lebron in his rookie year. jordans better but dont double lebron

  • Rap? Rap is a good genre, it just sucks in the mainstream now. 1980's and early 90's rap is gold.

  • its nowhere near..

  • I agree, great camera work. That made someone's career. It was like a right to left movie pan being able to capture all of the key elements of the play. It would have been a shame had Michael's initial reaction not had been caught on tape.
