  • pham nan

  • So smooth. I cant believe its not butter.

  • Nice move, haven't seen that one before.

  • yeah dude! who gives a shit if its dirty. stick that finger in their ass and tap them. its okay in my book!

  • Too many people thinking that grappling shouldn't be painful, if it gets the job done it doesn't matter whether folk think the technique was 'dirty'. Go train with Catch guys and see if your complaint is valid.

  • Javier Vazquez has been teaching the fist in the neck for years. We call it the muzzle.

That said, its def not dirty. It's by no means polite or comfortable. But effective.

I used it in my last tournament and won my 1st match with the same move.

    NICK

  • @WHITEBELT44 DICK

  • @fidjibajs1 Hate much?

  • @fidjibajs1 dont be a douch ill do what he did to you what he did to nam phan

  • @bunnylishes wtf you talking about?

  • If you pushed your fist in anyones neck at a jiujistu school, its considered dirty.

    Have you ever trained before?

  • what shit filming coodnt even see what was happening in the guard just nam's ass

  • Lol why tf reveal what happens? sigh

  • ryan u should have warned nam during ur match that in 2010 he'lll be robbed in the TUF Finale

  • Perfect example of a guy beatting someone in a grappling match but wouldn't be able to beat him in a real fight.

  • @702decatur

But why is Nam Phan competing in a grappling competition if it's real fights he's after? ;S

  • @russinn what a dumb question? why do u train?

  • @GHRepresent

Mainly to compete in grappling competitions with or without the gi, not so much to beat others in "real fights". Also it was more or less a rhetorical question, thought the " ;S " would give that away but seems like it didn't.

    Why do you train?

  • @russinn he wants to better his bjj

  • @702decatur Ryan Hall is not an MMA fighter, why bring him down, he's a top grappler in the US and the world, you should show some respect jackass.

  • @702decatur: Apparently I have to spell this out for you: if Nam didn't have any grappling training and he and Ryan fought, Ryan would absolutely demolish him. And THAT'S why grappling training is important for a fighter.

  • Hall is very technical and awsome but Pham is not that good by far.

  • Cause Nam is a exciting mma fighter I guess....

    He's not that good.

  • Can someone tell me what the "fist in neck" is?

  • It's when you put your fist in their neck.

  • LOL @jh883's question and xaymot's answer.

No disrespect, because there are a lot of names for moves and setups out there. Some obvious some not so obvious.

  • @Xaymot u sure? i thought it was like bas rutten's thing where u shove their own fist into their own neck, from a wrist control ofcourse...but whatever ill look it up, cuz this dude is my role model, i got the spider legs, and triangle chokes are my game :)

  • @OffspringFTW65 Yeah dude, I wasn't trying to be an ass and it is a valid question. So many weird names these days, it's easy to think that something would be more than a name. I mean I just learned a calf crush the other day that was called a "ham sandwich". go figure.

  • @Xaymot is there an instructional video on that it sounds pretty technical

  • he uses the fist to add more pressure

  • @jh883

you place your foot in their armpit. BAM, fist in neck move.

  • @jh883

A Dirty and illegal move in competetion.

  • @imnotbad9 its not dirty or illegal. so wrong on two points.

  • @adrock3: pushing your fist into someone's neck would most certainly be considered dirty at most academies. Whether its legal in competition is another question.

  • @wrybread No it is not, this is jiu jitsu not pillow fighting, the fist is just to cut of the other artery. If you think that is dirty you think every blood choke is dirty. It's just another technique.

  • @adrock3: do you actually train? I've trained at probably 6 different academies over about 8 years, and that would be uncool during training at every single one of them.

  • @wrybread Well u just showed you do not understand bjj. First it sounds like u change schools every year which is not cool. This sport is about loyalty. Sticking with an academy unless you have to leave, not jumping schools, they have a name for people like you in brazil! And again it's not dirty, and yeah I train, I upload some of my matches, what about you? Fist in the neck is taught at good school, Romolo taught me this before, so check your sources.

  • @adrock3: I've trained at Carley Gracie's academy in San Francisco ever since being a white belt. I've trained at other schools only when travelling. Carley knows about every school I"ve taken a class at.

That said, lots of academies don't mind people training at other schools. At Gracie and other traditional BJJ academies loyalty is definitely important, but there's lots of schools that don't mind cross-training elsewhere, even within BJJ.

    Nice try though!

  • @wrybread Cross training is cool, I train with my friends schools all the time, but that's not what u made it sound like in your first response. I trained in sf too at Ralphs, and if someone used a fist in the neck there Kurt would not call it dirty, it's part of the game.

  • @jh883 A fist in the neck

  • ahh i wanted to see the set up from the other side...

  • Im glad i was told the results before I saw the fight because I hate being suprised.

  • @jackadamia11 HAHAHAHHAHAHA

  • awesome
