If he would have been announced a human being like you and I, fine. He is not more enlightened, than many other people on this planet. He has a nice aura, though. I remember the journey of Gautama Buddha, who has been an explorer, infusing humanity with hard-earned wisdom. Would be interesting to know, where he comes from, means, based on life-experience, or based on books he read, we all have access to.
He is not only an enlightened soul but a 'paramahamsa' (a much higher evolved level amongst enlightened souls). You might like to read the biography - Nithyananda Vol1. We are actually blessed to be in the presence of a living incarnation.

It seems the language barriers and representations made could be refined and used to teach directly with out needing ashrams to compleat the same task.
