We also have a 3-legged cat. He was 4 1/2 months old when he fell 4 stories. His owner left him with a broken left fore limb for a week! Finally he came to the shelter & our family fostered him. We knew right away he was a keeper! The vet was amazing & so is our cat who we call Louis the Amazing 3-Legged Wonder Cat! 1st day home after the amp he went straight up the stairs & hasn't missed a beat! He is 8 years old & still getting on top of the cupboards and he's a major "Momma's Boy" lol

Not only is this a wonderful cat story, this is an inspirational story many of us can learn from. To me it is about embracing life and living it to the fullest as it is presented to you. Ajani is a happy cat, living and enjoying his life. He is playing with the hand he is dealt and he is having a blast!

We volunteered for cat rescue for 8 years and had an adult Tripod for 5 of them (hit by a car). He was very scared at first, but eventually warmed up to us and got a home for 5 years until his kidneys failed. When he was running, you couldn't tell he had 3 legs, and when he wanted attention, he'd sidle up to me and lean over against my leg as if to say "Oh look...I can't hold myself up. Hold me!)

He was a wonderful companion...regardless of how many legs he had.

Its much worse than my cat tiger had experincd when he was a kit. he was dropped off in the woods. he caught a cold and some guys found him. where the forest was is at Utah lake.It was on mothers day 4 years ago. we took hivm in and got him fixed up.

@devoncattell No he is alive and thriving in his new home. He turned one in Feb and is taking over their house. We are the breeders and we sold him to a wonderful family when he was newborn. They purchased another kitten from us. After his accident, they still wanted himso I didn't chage them anything for him as it really was the most perfect home for him and they had been waiting for him to come home. It was hard to see him go but he is very happy and they keep me updated all the time. Smile!!

@hercaber Yes it certainly is sad! He was bought as a newborn. 3 weeks before he left, he broke his leg! We were completely crushed as was his new family! After a couple of days they told me that if they could still have him, they would love to take him but wanted what was best for him. They already had one of our kittens from a previous litter so i knew them really well and how wonderful they were. They went on to say that 3 legs-4 legs it doesn't change who he is. He is thriving today!

@DrNworb Yes, a VERY, VERY Sad story that we wish never happened! We were beyond deastated as was the family who purached him as a newborn and were VERY worried about how he would do physically and emotionally.

I have to say It really was incredible to see his determination to live life to the fullest! Nothing stood in his way! He now is the boss of the families dog Cirak and is right in there with his other furry feline siblings. He continues to amaze us all!!
