@silentkila234 Yes. You must rank up in each individual branch/persona however - rank is not universal. Ranking up unlocks new classes in that persona - however, with the campaign as the Tiers progress the rank required for certain weapons (all infantry classes however require same rank) will decrease as newer, more improved technology is introduced.

It's a really fun game and worth playing if you are a patient player for First Person Shooters... The only flaws are the bugs and lack of players.

Oh look, that was when you could actually crawl into a berm. The game used to have a lot of guys. Numbers are way down. Too many things have change. I liked this version better. Ei were not small and you had better places to hide. Games going downhill fast and numbers in game show it. Paying to wait 1 minute to spawn in during primetime is not fine. Seen too many good players and squad members leave the game cause of this crap. CRS better get back on track or it is going to get ugly for them.

I preferred Planetside, it had so many action packed big battles. This had, perhaps still has potential though. I've always liked the concept of it.

Personally i hate the huge battles, i like the more concentrated smaller battles. My favorite is the softcap towns linked to a birgade where its really infantry and infantry, and an occasional apc or tank but the combat is real epic. Then again, i just cant stand to have 15 fps when theres like 300 people in one town. Overall the game is amazing. And theres so much different stuff to do as long as your in a squad, your always going to have fun.

@metalgearrexlover theres only one campaign, if you play german infantry i can help u find enemy to kill and where to dig in at. some fights aren't worth the effort tho, u gotta be there at the right time or you miss the fight, or the fight just sux that day. but ther adding rapid action modes next patch. its sounds like its gonna be epic. the normandy american invaders vs german defenders and semi auto rifles, faster pace gameplay.

I would give it around 7/10 because i find it very immersive but it lacks some basic stuff like being able to pick up fallen weapons or ammo or actually being able to run someone over with tank :) also its not the pretties looking game out there compared to project reality but you should definitely check it out.

...when the planets align, and there happens to be a sizable battle going on for a town, it can really be amazing. I've never been immersed in a game like I've found myself with WW2 Online. Unfortunately though those instances are the exception. Most of the time you're all alone looking for some action, sneaking around like James Bond. At least they fixed whack-a-mole haha.

I started playing back in 2004. Back then the only bushes were paper thin, 2D graphics scattered across flat fields lol. Spawning at the FB was the closest to the action you got without taking a 10 minute Opel ride. You watched your ass because you didn't want to have to take that ride again lol. Back then for some reason the smaller player base worked better. These days the game itself is much better, but unfortunately the player base is even smaller. It's a shame because.. (cont.)

@wariofan279 Well, this game came out at 2001, it has recieved a lot of patches, but the fact is that the game engine is almost a decade old and doesn't allow constant updating into the far future. And most other games don't have visibility to 3km... this sets the cruel limits to the amount of polygons and texture resolution/quality. Sure the game could have been done a lot better, but CRS is a tiny studio and doesn't have a bazillion dollar budget of the bigger developers like Blizzard.

u see much more teamwork and tactics in this game than in battlefield. theres not as much of a solo zerg mentality because it only takes one good shot with the right weapn to kill anything. some squads are very organized and use mics.. generally u are expected to be a team player or else your considered to be wasting your teams equipment, only noobs zerg around solo here
