OK I've been playing over 40 yrs now and this is one of my many fav songs and you have done it wonderfully--not many people have played this song and in that fact alone has made me notice you--I am looking at your renditions and impressed keep up the good work grasshopper----steve
Sounds like you're playing along with a live version of this song. I'm always interested in hearing and seeing live performance by badfinger as they are hard to find.
on our 30th wedding aniversity. i"ll send you a ticket. i played this song to my wife when i asked her to marry me. buddy you are fantastic. you can play baby blue when we renew our vows
HEY BUDDY.when i asked my wife to marry me 25 years ago. iplayed baby blue. 2 days ago i let her listen to your video. , she watched it 5 times,, all i can say is thank you. your one hell of a guy. great video
really incredible stuff. online tabs just don't do this song justice at all. i've been watching so many of your videos over the course of a year or so (first time commenting...) and i'm finally feeling the inspiration to just learn to play by ear. no more being lazy. thank you! ps: have you ever considered covering any big star songs?
So far, I have loved all your stuff! Great playing! I love your guitar-nice LP! This is inspiring me to do my own version-and I will definitely take some tips from this video! Oh yeah-I subscribed-great music for this 43 year-old! Thanks!
What can I say? Another cover of another one of my favorite Badfinger songs!
Outstanding, as usual!
Seriously--you've done a great job with all these Badfinger covers! And to think that I still haven't watched many of your videos--I'm going to have to check them all out!
That was terrific. Couldn't figure this out to save my life except for the little note-runs, since all over the net they're carrying on about capos and weird tuning for this song. Now have a chance.
Joey definitely did the leads on this song when Badfinger played this live...as is evidenced in many old videos. Either way...they were a great band! -BC
BandOnTheRun87: I think you may be confusing this song with "Day After Day." On "Day After Day," Pete Ham and George Harrison shared lead parts in it. On this one, I believe it's Joey Molland playing lead.
hey Buddy, Sound great as always! Quick question, when and if you get a chance, would you mind sharing with me the walkdown right after the verse and before the chorus? Thanks really appreciate it!
Great Job! Buddy (as usual) Have you ever considered doing the guitar in "What have they done to the rain" by the Searchers? Hope your hand is recovering well. Steve
Thanks! I know the song...but I will probably not do a cover of it. I'm still having some issues with my hand and I'm also so busy right now with work...and working on my home...so my time to do any of this sort of thing is really limited. Hopefully...I'll be able to do more in the next few months. I'm getting my music room back in order this week. -BC
Thanks! Actually...the next guitar I buy will probably be a Gibson SG Custom or a Gibson SG Supreme...but I'm in no hurry. I have a lot of guitars and my hand is not even fully recovered from surgery. -BC
I would like to humbly suggest that a died-in-the-wool guitar fanatic like yourself start squirreling away the quarters to get one of those new fangled servo-driven automatic tuning Gibson guitars. I believe that they have a Les Paul model and a SG model now. I mean, really Buddy, consider your guitar-owning reputation!
Thanks for checking out the video and taking the time to write. I saw those guitars and I am somewhat interested in one...but right now, the Doctors are getting all of my spare change...LOL I may have to have another operation on my hand yet! :-( -BC
God how i hate these guitars!!! I am a bit of Conservative so maybe that's the reason, but robotising the perfect instrument which is the guitar is the shit!!!
You pulled a classic out the hat with this one! I remember seeing them at a high school gym in Springfield, VA when they first started back in the day. Excellent job!
I'm a subscriber and marvel at your skills. Two things that would make your videos more enjoyable: 1) turn up - just a bit - the volume on the background music, and 2) use a little less treble on your guitar.
Thanks Patrice! Actually...I am still having a lot of problems with my hand but one afternoon just the other day my "bad finger" was not hurting as much so I knocked off a couple of videos. I'll be finding out more about whatever is going on later in the week after I see my doctor again...but at least I got two more videos...LOL -BC
I bought this album when it came out and still have it today, it was the first album I ever bought, before I only bought 45's . I am glad to see you are on the mend and back playing as always great job. Can't wait to see what you play next, THANK YOU.
W0w, Home Run! I noticed your playing further up the neck than some others...hmmm

@randaloopy Thanks! It couldn't be too difficult because I almost never play or practice...so I am just an average player at best.
