i was gunna say all these clips look like it was from seattle. utah i remember u as the opposing in 95 i didnt know greg came back in 96. i remember his 92 team the most only cause Thumper was my idol lol infact my DJ name is named after his callsign
well Utah i do think that someone didn´t do the job correctly when new pilots where evaluated...Donnie´s call might have been a Navy´s PR error...surely he´s a good guy and great pilot..
The Boss is selected separately by a board of Admirals and former bosses. Boss Cochran is a great guy. I will keep my opinions of his flying skills to myself. He has been through enough and needs to be remembered as one of a few men to fly the #1 jet. A great honor indeed.
was Donnie Cochran still the boss at this point or did Greg Wooldridge take over for him already? I had read that no one wanted to work with him and that's why he relieved himself of the command. Interested in your view because you can't always believe what you read. I find it difficult to believe that even the Blues would be that democratic.
Greg Wooldridge was the Boss at this time of the season in 96. Boss Cochran was a good guy and unfortunately he was in over his head when it came to flying the #1 jet. He had problems flying the demo from the beginning of his first season and was never able to pull it together. Our team made every attempt to work with him and he finally stepped down. A fine man otherwise.
Well, I've had this footage for 12 years gathering dust in my closet. Thought I might share it with the YouTube world. My name is Mark Provo and these clips were filmed in 1996 when I was the Lead Solo for the Team. Enjoy....and please pass it on. I will put more on as I get time.
