  • Artist Brhane Haile,

Thank you for an IMMORTAL BUETIFUL MUSIC & POETIC MELODY, that is still resonating in the ears, hearts, minds & souls of millions of Eritreans & Ethiopians, generation after generation.

Your good name & buetiful melody is & will be remembered, admired & honored for generations.

    Peace!!!

  • @BahreNeGash he's dead? if so that is really sad!

  • Comment removed

  • @BahreNeGash no, no, no, i was asking you if he died because you said "Your good name & buetiful melody is & will be remembered, admired & honored for generations." I wanted to know. sorry for the mix up

  • @dafrow

    Oh,,, Man,,, What a mess?

I have no idea if he's still alive or NOT.

  • very nice song ...i remember listing to this song when was DIRE DAWA ..i like the riddim,... thanks .. hees macaan....

  • was this remixed by an ethiopian singer? i remeber this?

  • Wow, Nice video. Besides, the endless "political' diatribe from the ever-waring factions of "INTERNET POLITICIANS", I enjoyed the show.

    Thank you for posting.

  • 1) It makes me sick and sad to read some of the coments. Ethiopia, (including Eritrea) is one of the poorest country in the world. The main reason is hatred, and backward thinking that put us there. we canmot blame others for our failure. Not the Italians. But the fact is Eritrea is part of the Axumite empire, Abyssinia, and later Ethiopia. Just because Italy colonized that part and modernized it, does not mean we are different. it is sad!

  • @Bewiseandloving Eritrea was never part of abyssina man. And Axum is just Tigray region and Eritrea. Not amhara. Sec. we live nouw in 2010. Another reality, just accept it.

  • 2)So people, open your eyes and admit the fact and find a solution to live together in peace. Mr Afewerki is taking the nation backwards. You do not have to be a rocket scientist to figure that one out. If you keep that hatred and false belief, you will be refugees in the lower class for many years to come in other countries. Please wake up. Thank you.

  • i can believe this eritrean are know only agame they have so small mind look every one have the same mind saud Agame thanks you all eritreans for call us Agame i said thank b/c you guys are animal and know one thing over and over,,,but i hope one day you will undersand and started thinking as people look at this guy how he sing for eritreans you all should respect him but Animals are did known what is right or wrongi hope GOD will beless for all of us and hope we will be respect each other

  • Me, as Eritrean love Ethiopians just like the rest of the world. I'm sick of this ''agame-hate''.

  • this eritrean they just keeep shuting agame agame so what agame eritrean min like hamasien seraie akoleguzay come orgin from ethiopia min tigaray eritrea so what eritrea nting they just tallk rabish

  • I like how he mixed tembien and keren. beat is similar. i dont understand why eri and ethis are beefiing over music. beef on political vids. But this is supposed to bring ppl together that is what music is for. music only has 1 heart. Ya there is beef btwn us but in the end we are similar and we share 1 root. let the song speak for itself unity with the people not necessarily the nations and read addiskonjo caption stop arguing there hasnt been peace for 30 years. lets have peace for a min

  • Yawn.

Singing about ethnic groups and thinking it's a great song is retarded. Maybe in Ethiopia pumping up ethnic rift is the norm but in Eritrea, shit like this is shunned and looked down upon.

Eritrea 4 Eritreans. Shew Beli Bileney that agame.

250,000 Eritreans were murdered when Ethiopia occupied Eritrea. This is what yaddiskonjo and many Amhara and Agames romanticize about. They forget the devastation of their invasion & occupation in making Eritrea into Ethiopia with a gun. Sick fucks

  • It's still a good song : )

Nothing wrong with people being proud of their tribe. it's no different than people repping their "hood", Isaias

  • Kerenqueen07: No one said you can't be proud of your ethnic identity, just don't assume your ethnic identity is more important or special that your national one.

  • Comment removed

  • The song is good because an Eritrean created it. Since when have agames ever spoken Tigre? Agames can't even speak Tigrinya, let alone master Tigre. The original singer of this song is the legendary Eritrean singer of Tekle Tesfazghi. The song's title is "Welet Keren". He sang this song in the early 70s, way before this crusty agame stole his song in the late 80s.

Go to Eriplanet com and search for Tekele Tesfazghi's "Welet Keren" song.

  • Eritrean music gets jacked with no remorse!

  • Um...you don't have to tell me about Tekle Tesfazghi. Anyways, I understand your point about not letting "local/ethnic" identity get in the way of national identity, but what made you bring Ethiopia up? Whatever ethnic divisions they have there is their problem, so making an "us vs. them" comparison is pointless, one might even yawn at it. Songs should be enJOYed for the sake of enJOYment- which most certainly does NOT involve politics. My point is, loosen up buddy

  • issiasafewerki you are agame as well, as long as tigrinya is your mother tongue then you are agame, you share everything with tigray, language, culture, traditional clothe, history and blood. but we the none tigrinya people we have different language and culture, our culture is based on Arabic/Islamic culture.ya wad eseet ya habish ya jahel y munafeeq ya kazab

  • fuck of you blady muslim we are eritren end ethiopian brotheres ok we are a ortodox ok go to sudan end get fuck ther blady osama bin laden eritrea not arab country ok we are african

  • tudros5 It is bloody not blady second We Eritrean we don't need lecture from tigray people to teach us who we are, Eritrea is for both religion we live there for thousands of years the same thing apply to Ethiopia Islam is deeply routed there for thousand of years you can't deny it. regarding Arab or Arabic language is one of our official language in Eritrea, every official document is written in Arabic & tigrinya you are just confused between your country and Eritrea. Eritrea is not tigray.

  • @IsaiasAfewerki It is a very very very sad thing that hundreds of tausends eritreans and ethiopians died because of the separation movment - but this can not be an excuse to deny the reality - if you just think about today and the future - the meaning of life is not have hate, revange, war etc... with your negbour.

  • I love my peopel

  • mara ena nifetiweka brhane

  • ur right ethioknight , i live wid both cultures too , i have ethio friends n erit friends so nvr hate same ppl

  • stop coming to my videos and spreading your hateful propaganda....you're not welcome here. get the fuck out of here..let everyone else enjoy the song in peace.

  • But the Ethiopians can talk shit all they want, huh?

  • nope..i told united4ethiopia to shut his hole as well. i love my eritrean and ethiopian brothers and sisters. if you don't like ethiopians...well that's your problem...but you and the other idiots are taking it waaaaay too far...with all your immature and irrelevant comments. nuff said.

  • Ante dedeb, go away, atsemam ende? Just go away!

  • @eritreantigaraly; you are the one who is still talking shit, iregared of what some idiots both from eritrea and ethiopia say; at least an ethiopian has up loaded this song and other beautiful songs of eritreaThink like one who has habesha´s blood, wears shema, eats injera and berbere, drink siwa and mi´es,etc...this is the reality.Don´t try to make an other creature out of you.

  • @1959Mercy Well that goes for your ignorance! You do not know if I am habesha, you do no know if my people are allowed to consume alcohol.. Not all Eritreans and Ethiopians are habesha; you should do some research!

  • @eritreantigaraly Thank you for your insult, it is your right to deny the facts on the ground and keep on with your hate, revange, war minded mentality,etc... But I´m a billion percent sure; that true eritreans and true ethiopians do not share your evil and demonic ideas.

  • @1959Mercy That has nothing to do with what I said .. How is what I said evil? What I said were facts!

  • Idiots and their generalizations... you know what - it is d***s like you that magnify the issues between the two countries in the most negative of ways... Please, clear your own issues and read what you wrote - you'll see what an a** you are.

  • Me, it's you government and your people.

  • homo eri boy Berhane Haile the Ethiopian singer singing for Eritrean woman because Eri girls get horny when man sing to them.

  • regionalist and tribalists......get a damn life. i guezss there isn't anything to sing about in lil tigray ..eh??

  • hater..why are you even on this page then? go do something useful. :) you're not welcome here..

  • ILLLL LLLL LLLL as long as there is an independent Eritrea I will always laugh at all you Ethi joksters. Ajokum deki adey our brothers and sisters are watching our borders closely with their lives. Our pride and future is bigger than any Ethi ambitions. ILLLL LLLL LLLLLL

  • your comment is totally irrelevant. life is too short to waste your time like that.

  • kikiki.I am laughing at those italian slaves and ignorant minor people.their mind has never been changed with the globalisation. How can they give openions about the ancient civilised ethiopia,eg of freedom which is the only country not colonised by europeans.....

We all know that eritrea has a 20 years profile history, the first country to be colonised and the last to be freed.YOu better shut up shamefull people why you visit our web sites?we do not want you beggars your barking will be for ever

  • WOW,Some one is so facinated by Alex hailey novel (the roots)he re discovered the writing about the other nationality .You should show us more of your talents and creativity in writing.ERITREA was and will allways be atrue fact in history and present, unlike the (regional power).paid per service ethiopean regime who have never really presented the great history or the rich diversity of it`s own people. BON Natale`.

  • OMG this is one of my favorite music.I remember, I used to stay up all night long in case they play it on "HIBRET TRIET".

  • This is a song by Tigrean/Ethiopian Berhane Hile for the people who are mis-represented muslim and we all Tigrean will stand with them. Time to balance and find the correct path.

  • One day we Habeshas may look above the man made borders and politics and start living together. God shall then give Us the wisdom as he never denyed Us beauty. Great music.

  • i'm sorry but you have waaaaaaaay too much time on your hands to be so concerned about one song. this is a beautiful song. enough said. move on!

  • this song should bring Ethiopia and Eritrea together

  • ,jdgsmm,l;l/ ndtib dgresgj hrisnfu gjru thr the rtfjihrl rs

  • Nice song i prefer the original song sang in 80's.

  • A wonderful Ethiopian singer, Berhane Haile, singing to an Eritrean girl.

This song has been remade a dozen times but the original song by this great singer is the best.

I also enjoyed the new Ethiopian Tigrinya artist, Haftom Gebremikael, song called Shikorina. It has the same beat/similiar lyrics.

I believe there is an Amharic song with the same beat called "Diaspora" by a man named Alex? I think....

  • hahahahahaa

    Eritrean Tigrigna?

Tigrinya was taught to Eritreans in the late 19th century when the Ethiopians colonized Eritrea.

Once we sold you to the Italians you went back to your Nilotic Negro roots.

    Eritreans have no history.

  • LOL

The earliest written example of Tigrinya is a text of local laws found in the district of Logosarda, southern Eritrea which date from the 13th century.[2]

    h t t p://en(dot)wikipedia(dot)org/wiki/Tigrigna#History_and_literature

  • Well that doesn't prove anything. Tigrigna has been around since the 8th century.

  • dont be a fagget
