Through interaction, consciousness, naturally, lowers the entropy of the universe. Which is observable to this point in time. We can theorize all we want, but, the simple fact is entropy can approach zero, if not reach it. If not, then, how is the big bang possible? Complexity can increase to a point where everything collapses in on itself and the singularity is reborn. AGain and again, and again, and again...To say there is a beginning and end is ignorance. WE DONT KNOW!
Good theory on why lies and deception are considered the 'work of the devil', because it prevents info transmission that stops consciousness evolving.
@fourplusseven Digital bits -- wellll kind of, but that has to be looked into more. Consciousness Free will--- Its demonstrated all the time in yourself BUT there are different levels of consciousness, again there is more to the story because tings like animals are conscious but dont operate on the same level as humans. 1000 things learning more -- it goes by something is greater than the sum of its parts from what I get, learn by interaction and that contributes to the info of the whole
well i had the same concept already and im dumb...God was bored so he/she/it...split into trillions of pieces and forgot who it was deliberatley. we are the shards of god...but id go further and say animals are consious too, they may not be as self aware as people but still consious...and possibly conciousiness extends into all things all matter...not mind but conciousness. As Jesus said "we are all gods children" also this is Buddhism as we are all one thing.
@jamesnewaccount me 2. yea animals are conscious but not on the same mode as people. they dont have egos and morals, they just operate on instinct and dont make value judgements and have critical thinking but they still learn. Yea god is all of us experiencing itself so god can evolve. To forget is vital because you couldnt learn new things.
@fourplusseven good point bat man i like it.. your post seems to shift gears on what he is saying about consciousness , plants do have free will,, thay grow eny were even stone , manifestation to manifestation'
My last comment was a bit brash, but i stick by it. Dr Campbell is a brilliant teacher, actually, and his ideas within the giant field of physics are concisely put forward, but metaphysics(the word) if it is fully known, contains even more NB parts than those mentioned on his chart. An example of this is that, to 'the initiated", one of the parents of m/physics is Alchemy, and the codes of transformation, to be found in it. Also, the small picture, knows the bigger through analogy and deduction.
Am on tape 7 here, already, and haven't seen any Metaphysics yet! The references to "experience" are obviously of the Kantian type, and are the physicist's favorite philosophy, where the concept of 'experience" replaces the theology of the past (a priori), including the idea of God/monad, and also replaces the closure, yes, the closure of the future as well, where it is assumed, mathematically, that everything simply continues. Commercial physics with no "metaphysics", makes Frankenstein/golem
at :58 he says "it could get boring... slow... limited" These are assumptions that are fabricated out of thin air. What is the basis for them? If a totally knowing consciousness experiences these things then it must be knowingly and actively creating them, which means they would have to be its arbitrary constructs and its created illusory reality.
@fourplusseven these things are self evident... how can information in this reality not be reduced to a binary sequence? He is saying only that consciousness needs free will to learn, without free will you would just follow a script and it would be impossible to learn. How can one thing experience itself, how can it know what information to organize without segregating itself? It already knows how to be ONE it must learn how to be TWO(or 2 trillion).this story is 1000s of years old anyway...
TC’s 'backdoor hack' approach to understanding reality appears quite an achievement…for a physicist coming from an impersonal/materialist/atheist realm. However folks, there IS a FRONT DOOR approach which has existed for at least six millennia. The Creator/Designer has spoken. Read the first two chapters of the Letter to Corinthians, the 46th book of the Bible (7th book of the NT) for the description, as well as Hebrews 1:1 & 2.
Both of those letters were written in the first century and there is no way to prove that they were authored or guided by any "Creator/Designer". Corinthians was most likely written by "Paul of Tarsus" and Hebrews was written by different, anonymous author. The Bible, just as almost every other religious text in existence, is overwhelmingly full of innacuracies and contradictions. Surely something guided by God would not exhibit such petty human mistakes. Your statement is irrelevant
whoops...he lets his non-theist/monist presuppositions show at about 1:30sec into the video. The audience should have tossed a yellow flag or blown a whistle.
Monism completely coincides with what he is talking about, and is exactly what modern quantum physics and most eastern philosphies point to. Your statement is irrelevant.
he does say at the beginning, you can measure this from the objective, you have to go there to experience it, to understand. we cant totally understand it from our present mindset, what do you want demonstrated, this is the problem with science, if you cant touch it, see, smell, feel, measure, replicate, it doesnt exist. science needs to catch up. so if any of you look at this with a physical scientific mind, forget it. go watch tv.
never heard a bigger bullshiter. Clearly a child of the nineties with it´s imagined digital omnipotence. He should read some philosophy instead. Live experience is not digital but analog. So many gaps he is taking for answered. Embarrassing.
The bottom line is that Consciousness wants to experience itself and can only do so in a highly restrictive, "constrained environment."
Once, having tasted a moment of reality, Consciousness begins seeking the ultimate - the experience of itself within physicality. The seeking begins-the dog chasing its tail. The self seeking that its own Self to be - Consciousness.
7:45 Ive been there. Ive been to maybe 20 maybe 30 different realities. Question: If something this drastic really happened wouldnt a person remember the EXACT number of different realities you have visited? Wouldnt a person have documented them and be able to give an exact number in a lecture?
about the game: computer will still place that tree on the same spot as it was coded regardless if observer if watching it or not... where with quantum physics- particles will appear everywhere if observer wount observe them at that instant
He bases all of that^^ on the assumption that the OBE phenomenon is really 'out' of body and not 'inner' body, aka a kind of "organic virtual reality", although he claims the outer-reality of it was verified by experiments he & Monroe did where they came back with information they couldn't have acquired otherwise. This is my general problem in digesting all of it too. PM me if you like.
I did some research on my own since I posted this and it's a hypothesis that can't be disproved or proved just like the existence of a god so it's kinda out until evidence can be gathered on it...
And to do that you'd basically be breaking quantum physics.
Thanks for the invite. :-)
Been "debating" these two guys who've basically based their entire view of reality on this series of videos as if it were fact...
I don't think it's that simple, manofearth. I myself have learned to O(I)BE (I put the "I" in there because I'm not convinced yet that it's outer or inner), and although it's quite the fantastic experience, it fails at first to verify existence after death. I have recently formed a company called The HyperSigil Institute LLC which plans to perform rigorous tests on the phenomenon (much like the Monroe Inst.), and the truth of the matter could be revealed by the simple double-blind card test.
"the truth of the matter could be revealed by the simple double-blind card test"
I've been saying that to the guys Ive been debating for a while now. I even came up with one. I think to make a definitive study though it would have to be a series of double-blind tests. I've heard of the card test and doing the test in cardiac wards where people frequently claim OBE's. Is that what you're doing? Do you have a website?
