I think Igor is actually the trickiest one for Sonnen apart from Saku (a motivated Saku, that is) just because he's so compact, stocky and strong - not easy to control on the ground. Arona I think he'd control from top position (his sub defence was much improved when he fought Silva), the Nogs and Shogun (in particular) would be a bit more of a struggle but the ten minute first round might give his weak ground and pound more time to finish the job.

@mcmaniac1000 Sonnen's not really 185 lbs, though. He cuts a lot of water weight; fought Marquardt at 203 lbs. Would probably be 220 - 225 lbs going into an open-weight GP.
I'm not saying he's an ATG or anything, but I think if he gets past Fujita (which is likely if not guaraneed, I'd say) he's got a decent shot at Igor. Now, I'm a big fan of Igor, - second most dominant MMAist in history, in my view - but with no headbutts Sonnen might well grind him down if he can avoid the knees.

I think Igor is actually the trickiest one for Sonnen apart from Saku (a motivated Saku, that is) just because he's so compact, stocky and strong - not easy to control on the ground. Arona I think he'd control from top position (his sub defence was much improved when he fought Silva), the Nogs and Shogun (in particular) would be a bit more of a struggle but the ten minute first round might give his weak ground and pound more time to finish the job.
