  • so he has a penis now ? im confused lol

  • congratulations on your surgery + i hope your recovery is going well and that you get your insurance to cover it. You are an inspiration - thankyou for sharing your story with us

  • Damn dude. that is awesome. so glad you got it. I am looking forward to having one soon, but not sure if i should remove everything but the cervix or all of it like you did. Hmm! Glad to see you're not in too much pain! Your vid of you and your mother talking (with the questions and answers) really uplifted me. Good luck with healing!

  • Hey mate, glad to hear things have been pretty good for you overall with the surgery. Hope your healing better now!

  • Never would have even known you were ftm if I saw you. You are so attractive wow x

  • @AbananaPerson this is not actually a compliment. I mean Sky is gorgeous but in his own right, whether he is trans or not is irrelevant. Are you saying that you usually would think of a transman as being unattractive?

  • @purplefrog42 no, sorry i see what you're saying but i meant those two things separately. I am sure there are many guys who are trans that are perfectly attractive as well.

  • @AbananaPerson you need to think a bit more about how you say these kind of things is all I'm saying.

  • @purplefrog42 Well thank you, I will be sure to try and do that next time. I really do appreciate your input.

  • you remind me of steve-o is that a bad thing?

  • Sky! Im so happy for you!

  • this may sound like a stupid question but do you now have male genitals?? i know they obviously removed the female organs but i'm guessing you have something since you can pee lol. i've never really thought about it before so i'm just wondering. it's funny, most of the time i wish guys had periods because of all the crap it brings us girls, but when you said it was your last i was actually happy for you, whereas normally i'd be like that's not fair!! good luck, you're such an inspiration:)

  • woohoo rock on man! so happy for you!

  • I would just like to say that i watched your entire journey in one night (i ended up here from jenna marbles videos... idk how). But your videos are really inspiring, and i think that there are a ton of people who are going through the same thing that don't have the support or the courage to do what you did. It's crazy to see that after all of this, your journey isnt even over. good luck with the rest of it :)

  • much love, sky, and be well

  • my mom drank alot of like sprite and clear liquids to get the gas out her body in order to get the gas out of her when they had to remove her kidney stones. it may work so just some tips. hope you feel better soon. good luck!

  • you look phenomenal :D i had been floating around on youtube before i found your first video, and i've been watching them all and i just think you are so strong. this is incredible, you look great, you sound great (you probably can see my other comments on ur vids lol) and you look so happy :)))) i'm really happy for you and i hope that you find a way to cover the surgery cost. take it easy bro! soooo happy you're happy :)

  • Glad that everything went well and you are looking great cheers

  • I'm 25 and getting a hysterectomy in 9 days. Thanks so much for sharing this.

  • YOURE SO CUTE IM STRAIGHT IM STRAIGHT AND IM SINGLE LOL XXO

  • Ughhhhh, surgery talk is so gross. :(

  • So happy for you!

I wish you all the best in your recovery <3

  • Ok this might be a weird question but are you substantially lighter after your surgery? :/

  • Thanks for sharing your amazing story.

  • GET A TWITTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Pushing all the pain thing aside, I cannot tell you how happy I am for you. I've been watching most of your transition here on youtube, and it amazes me how far you've gotten. I wish I had an ounce of your courage! I hope you feel better from the surgery and your insurance covers the operation. Best of luck! :)

  • So happy, Congrats

  • You are such a joy! I'm so happy you're doing well :)

  • You give me hope dude, massive amounts of hope. Congrats Sky!

  • i'm relieved your surgery went well! my mom had hers done last year. she was in a lot of pain, she stayed in the hospital for five days and she had to wear an abdominal binder for a few months. i guess it's because she was sick because of her ovaries and whatnot to begin with. so the fact that you're fine is really shocking BUT A MAJOR RELIEF. congratulations, Sky!!!

  • Sky, you're so cute, so so so brave and such an inspiration to so many people out there. I have been watching your videos since the past few hours and I am close to tears. So much love coming your way. I hope you feel better soon. I am definitely going to donate towards your bills as well. Keep going Sky! You're a force :D

  • You officially have me terrified. I'm having this done in two weeks, and now all I can think of is lots of blood and dying, didn't even think about it before, lol! It's good to see you came out alive though! Lol now I'm nauseous.

  • Still keeping up with you, blessings Sky!!

  • whoooo, you're alive! right on! :D

  • hey sky! been following your videos for over a year now, im glad you're happy :)

  • I'm really happy and proud of u. ur always optomistic. wishing u the best. :D

  • Congrats on the surgery! Glad to know everything went well!

If and whenever I have a chance to meet you I definitely want to give you a huge hug! I don't know why but I do! :)

Ya know... you kept saying that it just feels like you're having a massive cramp but to tell you the truth. I can't even begin to imagine it because I've never had a cramp o.o

  • You're amazing.

  • Hey Sky, glad to know you came out of surgery well. Keep on keepin' on, man.

  • you are so cute!

  • HI! Skylark.Marie here.Congrat`s on you successful operation glad everything went well.I have to wait another year to get my SRS done.I am shure i will be as thrilled as you are when it is over.My healing timeline will be longer though. So! wish you & yours all the best,Happy New-Year.The rest of your life adventure begins may it be filled with happyness & love.Huggs, bye!

  • your amazing. Im a gay guy and I think your really cute. hope thats not weird. :)

  • @sirtom23 I'm glad I am not the only one!

  • I hate how you NEED to get this surgery in the Netherlands if you legally want to change your gender/get a male name x_X; They might change that soon... but in politics "soon" could be years :/

Anyway, I don't get how your shoulders hurt after this kind of surgery... but I'm glad it all went well :] Congrats Sky!

  • I know this sounds weird but I really want to know. Do you feel the missing organs? LOL How does it feel?

  • @SirAdrianAlexander haha its too soon to tell. my intestines will move down to take up the space, and i feel like i'm too swollen now to feel it and they probably already did. uterus was smaller than the size of my hand and flat so it didnt take up too much space to begin with :P

  • CONGRATESSSSS TO YOUU SKYYY !! HUGGSSSS :D

  • congrats dude! :)

  • Dream sounds like it was you dying.. but meaning your woman side dying .. and now you are complete...

  • Congratulations! You must feel so relieved to have all of that over with! I want to get the complete hysto/oophorectomy, but I figure for me it will be a few years down the road. Your insurance covers part of it... is that because of some genetic predisposition to cancer or is your insurance just good about it? It's actually something I haven't looked into yet.

Enjoy your freedom. You look like you're doing great! I'm so glad everything went so smoothly for you!

    Rest up! Strength!

  • @shadowbeing3 insurance actually denied it in july so that's why it got pushed back. went and found a less expensive doctor/hospital, and they said now we would have to apply for insurance after the surgery so it is still really up in the air. they aren't very good about it or accepting so fingers crossed. its definitely something to consider, cos the surgery is super expensive, at least in the northeast!

  • @skylarkeleven is it okay for me to ask how much it was? (if you know yet) I'm in the northeast, too... Connecticut. It'll be a real challenge.

  • CONGRATS!! :D

  • congratulations sky...!!!.... you've done it...wow... at last you had the surgery....wish you all the best sky,,,thanks for sharing this....god bless you..

  • Congratulation Sky!! untill when you are going to have open the chipin acc???

You look tired but Keep it up, im so happy for you man!

  • @transdespertar right now it is open through january. :] the link is: skylarkeleven.chipin(dot)com/hysterectomy and every little bit helps!

  • happy you're doing well<3

hope you heal up well, and take it easy! c:

  • So glad your surgery went well Sky! Great to hear that you're doing well, hope everything heals up very soon for you! (:

  • Have to say this. I just watched your first video of documenting your transition. It's crazy how time flies. I can only think of it feeling like you just started yesterday even though you didn't watching your videos makes me even more excited to see my brother transition. I;m so glad that your surgery went well. i know it's been a looooong time coming. You look great. Can't wait to see what the future holds for you and my brother. Thanks for everything sky. If you ever need anything i'm here. =)

  • Glad to hear you're doing well! I can relate yo everything you're saying. had hysto last dec. I looked WWAAAAAY more bloated than you though :p The gas will absorb and pain will go away ;)

  • Emerson hospital nurses are the best! I was there the other month, and they treated me really well too. You're right though, they all are blond and normal height. And wear makeup. :P

  • congrates sky ! glad all went well. no more cramps after this :)

  • before people start the questioning about skys(or anyones) body, go to transbodypride.tumblr.com, there is plently of people there willing to show/talk about their bodies over there, and it means you wont be accidently offending anyone.

good to know that things went well sky :)

  • Glad to hear that your surgery went well. I'm hoping to have my hysto in the near future. Sending good vibes for insurance coverage ^_^

  • I hope the insurance thing works out - if it was a cisgendered woman with the kind of complications you were having, insurance wouldn't have a problem with it - it's sad when ignorance can have such an impact on your health. But I'm glad the surgery went well and here's to a fast and complication-free recovery! :D

  • Comment removed

  • Congrats on your successful surgery, hope your healing will be fast and without any complications

  • I wish you the best and hope everything heals well and health! :)

  • soo .. can you have kids?

  • @BrandedDiamond

    ......

  • @BrandedDiamond this person had a hysterectomy.. and if you read the description, it says that "uterus, cervix, fallopian tubes, and ovaries [were taken] out"... So no. They cannot have any biological children. ......

  • I love your glasses!

  • Oke, that's very nice! In Holland you need this surgery for being official male :)

  • Congratulations on a successful surgery! Hope you'll heal up real fast.

    Cheers!

  • watched you from the very beginning and its so good to see that you've finally got want you wanted and very much deserve

  • I have been watching your videos for a while and I am always amazed by your courage, I imagine that your life hadn't been easy, particularly because of other people who are "close-minded" sort of speak and that is truly a disease-the fact that people don't understand other people. You are going to make a wonderful husband and you're going to make some girl very happy one day! Lots of love from Bosnia and Herzegovina! Cheers! -Arijana

  • just a quick question.

What happens if u stop having or injecting ur self with testosterone? ( --- haha i think thats how u spell it) lol ;)

  • Congrats Sky.I'm really Happy for you.

  • I'm so happy for you dude. :)

  • damn...if you died you would never know..that was the scariest thing i think i've ever heard. "knowing that i was alive."

    Damn.

I'm happy everything went well. Happy Healing time.

  • You make me want to be a better person. Seriously you are so inspiring. Congrats! <3

  • CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i love to see my bros hit goals...ooo ima poet lol

  • I had the same thing, laparoscopic hysterectomy. You have little tiny holes held with a few stitches under those band-aids. I feel so much better since i got mine done. Mine was covered do to over bleeding and pain. Anyways... I'm happy for you :)

  • Yay!! I'm so glad everything went well. Take care :)

  • YAY.

  • Congrats! Heal up well.

  • That was a great and comforting report. I wish you a rapid and complete recovery.

  • I admire you, maybe I'm your biggest fan :D

    Congratulations!

  • Speedy Recovery, Skylar! :D

  • Congratulations hun!! Much love and support from all of us!

  • Congratulations hun!! Much love and support from all of us@

  • It should be noted that all humans begin life as female and that cis men have the reminisce of a uterus. And congrats on the surgery going well Sky!

  • Congrats, Sky! I'm so glad everything went well! Thank you for being so open and honest about everything; you're a total inspiration for a lot of people. Peace, buddy!

  • I'm glad to hear that the surgery went ok! Really hope insurance ends up covering it for you. Take it easy during your recovery period! :)

  • I applaud you! You are amazing(:

  • It's so strange to say 'happy hysterectomy' but I'm so happy for you that you had this done. Hope you feel better soon. Take care.

  • yayy you're alive!! haha seeee we told you that you'd live! :D

  • Its gonna hurt to take those patches off..thats all i can think about rofll(:

  • Congrats! It's good to hear that you're well. Hopefully insurance will cover the surgery or a part of it. And I hope you'll recover soon. My best wishes go out to you.

  • Sky, you're looking and sounding really good so soon after major surgery. You're one tough guy! I suspect the dreaming occured as you were coming out of anesthesia, since you don't usually dream when you're completely under.

  • You're amazing...and I wish you a quick recovery =]

  • I'm not sure if you've ever talked about storing eggs. This stuff is important enough to me personally to be using cryogenic storage, but I was curious about what your thoughts on this subject are...

  • Yay, congrats that ur doing so well!

  • You are seriously amazing.

  • Im so happy it went so smoothly! I hope you feel better soon and you look good :)

  • You just keep getting more handsome every time you upload a video! Congratulations on your surgery and I'm glad you're doing great!

  • Great job man. Happy to see you moving around making videos after a day. You should be good to go with school. Look fwd to your other updates.

  • So glad you finally got that surgery and that it went well!

  • i dont see why some people have to ask such dumb questions about what genitals a person has... seriously who cares genitals dont say whether ur male or female anyway i hope u get well soon and im glad u posted this cuz i was really wanting to know about this

  • I had the same problem with percocets after my last surgery. really sucks >.<

  • @94HPS truth is, no one else will be able to answer your question accurately, other than me. instead of inquiring about one particular persons body, you can check the internet for more information about the surgeries in general. similarly, asking about anyone's genitalia tends to be offensive unfortunately. i understand because i'm transgender that maybe that is an exception, but i am a human, so it is not. i hope you can understand, sorry my friend.

  • @94HPS he has a humungous penis, its like a collumn bro.

  • @94HPS well unless he is keeping something to himself (which he has every right to lol) he still has his female parts. I think the surgery he got was to remove all lady parts INSIDE of him. (ie uterus ovaries all that good stuff) to ensure that he cant have kids. Ive seen all of his videos and he never mentioned that.

  • @gingerrachel89 Actually, I'm quite confident that he did it to stop the pain, not for birth control. He had plenty of less invasive, dangerous, and expensive birth control methods available.

  • @gingerrachel89 Quite a few FTMs want hysterectomies and oophorectomies to reduce their risk of cancer, but as I understand it, that was not Skylar's primary motive.

  • @94HPS hysto/oopherectomy look that up and you'll get your answer.

  • Success! *Raises his mug of coffee to you*

  • I found your channel while searching for information about transmen for my ex boyfriend before he even realized he was trans. You helped me in so many deep personal ways. After almost 5 years of relationship we broke up last April and it was really painful to watch your channel. However, I just saw this video and it was super nice. It is weird how you grow to care for someone you don't know personally, but I am so happy about you. I wish you all the good and I am so glad everything is well! =)

  • You're such a great inspiration :) Congrats!!!

  • Congrats!! Yeah, the gas part really sucks. Make sure you're up and moving around. That's the best way to get rid of it. I also had bladder spasms after mine, from the catheter I think. It's all temporary, and you will be so happy to have all those innards gone!! Glad it went well - Emerson is a nice place to go!!

  • I look up to you so much. And I hope to be able to come out to my girlfriend someday...And then everyone else in my life.. :/ And best of luck with recovery and insurance, bro!

  • get better soon mate :)

  • this is the first guy i came acrossed on here when looking up "sex changes" on google. I had intended on getting my sex changed but didn't know about hormone therapy. i searched "hormone replacement therapy" and an article talked about people posting these changes on youtube and came across sky's videos first when searching this. since then, i have been on testosterone for a few months and this guy is like my idol. an all around awesome guy with a good determination and heart. sky, youre a g

  • YAY YOU'RE ALIVE!! :D

  • I had my appendix out last year and I had the same problem with the gas. It hurts really bad! It fades though. That's the pain that lasted the longest for me, and on my right side it stayed so much longer then the left. It will get better though. I promise (:

  • Yayyy! You lived :) hehehehe

  • u are like the only transgender friend that i can talk to when im so lonely or depressed......so, i was wondering if maybe we can inbox each other?

  • YOU ARE SOOOOOOOO HOT!

  • This Is Incredible!

And It's Gotta Be A HUGE Step.

    Congrats, Man. C:

  • oh......so have u went through a sex reassignment surgery before and did it go well?

  • @PinkySuperior90 there is no such thing as a sex reassignment surgery for transmen. legally, one can change their sex either by a note from a therapist, a note from a hormone doctor, proof of one surgery (top surgery for me was enough), and some states/countries do require both top and bottom surgery, but bottom surgery can often simply be a hysto in those cases. there is no one "sex reassignment surgery."

  • @skylarkeleven oh......so how was ur day so far today? and where u from?

  • @skylarkeleven Yes there is. That's completely wrong. There's phalloplasty & metiadoplasty to choose from. Haven't you read up on it at Hudson's FTM guide? Or what about Jamison Greene? Tyra Banks (model person who's super trans-supportive) had him on her show and asked him if he was completely male in all physical respects, and he said "yes I have a penis". Don't crush my dreams Sky! I need a penis someday! You have to be wrong!!

  • @CatFlashBlue my friend, of course there is a phalloplasty and a metiadoplasty. those are options for penile construction surgery. not sexual reassignment surgery, i know this of course. my main point is that there is no "one surgery" to be sexually reassigned, nor is any surgery required. there are surgical options, but "sexual reassignment surgery" is defined legally by the state and country, but even more importantly, by the individual.

  • @skylarkeleven Oh well that's a relief. I get it now, and thanks for the reply.

  • @PinkySuperior90 (response to Sky's potentially false info) Yes there is sex reassignment surgery. There's phalloplasty & metiadoplasty to choose from. It's on Hudson's FTM guide, or what about Jamison Greene? Tyra Banks (model person who's super trans-supportive) had him on her show and asked him if he was completely male in all physical respects, and he said "yes I have a penis".

  • u r AWESOME man!!!

  • what a strong wittle solder <3

  • congrats bro!

  • Now you're official male? :)

  • @JBudie no, i've been male on official documents for over a year. this surgery isn't something i consider part of my transition, nor do i feel it makes me any more male.. it's just what i medically had to do in order to relieve symptoms of endometriosis, hormonal abnormalities, cysts, and pain, which may or may not have even been caused T. just thought i'd clarify again! some people elect to have a hysto in order to change documents, i didn't need to do that, and its not a "sex change surgery."

  • Awesome!!! Congrats!!!

  • Awesome man:)

  • So glad to hear how well it went, that's awesome news man :) enjoy the rest and I hope all the pain and silly underwear are gone soon.

  • Also, the catheter is definitely why you're having trouble peeing. I'm a month post-op and my bladder is still sorta sluggish.

  • @CrashOfFate11 oh whew good to know. i figured :]

  • Such an awesome guy.

  • I so so wish they had have been able to do mine laproscopically. I had a total abdominal hysto and was in the hospital for 2 days with a catheter in the whole time. You're so lucky getting home that soon.

  • you are a real trooper. wow. much love

  • I'm so happy the surgery is over. :) Get well soon!

  • Whatever pain or discomfort you may have (as with any surgery) is overwhelmed by the happiness you exhibit in this video. So glad everything went so well.

  • Bloody hell guy, you are a true Champion!

  • Excited for and envious of you all at the same time. Please take care and live well. You're doing a miraculous thing for yourself and others. Thank you

  • I sure hope this will be the end of the pain and the roller-coaster emotions. Rest and relax for a few days. Eventually I hope you'll make another video to let us know of your progress. Take care.

  • Congrats... Im so happy for you! I wish they did surgery the way they did yours when I had mine it took me 10 weeks to recover... Yayyyy the last one!

  • Awesome dude, so glad it all went well for you :D.

  • Just hearing you describe your pain is making me ache :L

  • those medications make me sick to the percasets i took gravel with it it knocked me out liek i slept alot but that is probably good for you right now but ya take a gravel with it and it should help =] and congrats !!!

  • Glad to hear you're fine :)

  • i have a question, how did the surgery go and how long is it for the healing process?

  • @PinkySuperior90 it went really well he said, and the fact i was out so soon means i am recovering really well. the outer and inner incisions will absorb on their own and on paper, its 4-6 weeks recovery, with 6 weeks until i can exercise and lift more than 30 lbs. :]

  • That's fantastic! Congratulations! :)

  • I'm really glad everything went well =), and hopefully insurance will cover at least some of it. Take care.

  • I'm so happy for you. I wish you all the best and a quick recovery.

  • You look like you're tired and in pain :( I'm so happy that this finally happened for you though.

  • Congrats man!

It's great it all went well and I hope you'll be back and roaming withing no time!

And hey... it's good that you're still here, because you are gonna be great. No matter if it's saving this planet or making people smile.

    Take care Sky.

  • As I've said before, I am so happy for you. Good luck, and feel better! :)

  • If you could update us when you know the cost; that would be great! Also; I'm not sure where/if you said how much top surgery was...

  • WOW GREAT! Hang in there! Take time to recover/

  • Wow, I'm impressed that you're sent home just the day after! I don't know much about the operation itself... it isn't considered to be too risky, right?

At the same time, I'm glad everything went well for you!!

    Lots of love from Spain!!
