  • That "Jim Rogers: People's Lawyer" commercial was dull until that phone number came up ("that's 6 fours, and then a one"). So awesome it could become self-aware. Also, Chef Boyardee was a real person, actual name Ettore Boiardi (1897–1985).

  • Year I was born! :O I love all these. Thanks for uploading!

  • Ahaha I totally still have my real 4 leaf clover key-chain my mom got me as a kid, I didn't remember where it came from!!

  • This is patching the potholes on Memory Lane.

  • That Ked's commercial is ripping off Devo HARD

  • Freakin awesome I felt like a kid again watching this loved it !!!

  • I watched Woody Woodpecker religiously since 88 every afternoon including Ducktales when i was a kid and ate those Dinosaurs pasta, a few Dino Riders etc.

  • MUST. STOP. VIDEO. LIFE FLASHBACK IN PROCESS.

  • 3:03 DINOSAURS WITH MEATBALLS - lol!! hahaha oh my god the 80s are soo awesome

  • 4:18 - This one i've remembered from Nostalgia Critic's Drug PSA videos.

  • Since I curl, I would have loved pocket curling in middle school. It's a shame that it never caught on in Texas (or anywhere).

As a kid, I never could wrap my head around the idea that that middle-aged nerdy guy was doing drugs. I'm not that naive now, but I still would be very surprised if that guy got busted.

Weren't Fred and Barney best friends? Why couldn't Barney ask, or Fred share the cereal? And really, Fred, how often does Barney have to do the same trick before you catch on?

  • My God, they're trying to sell curling to children!

  • I think that is Jonathan Brandis in the Chef Boyardee commercial?

  • The black kid from the turbo tricksters commercial...what commercial did he appear in in his early 20's

  • tyco and lego are the best i played with and still do sometimes

Fruity and coca pebbles are my favorite cereals

  • I actually had that Ked's kite and those glow in the dark shoes. The kite flew pretty well. I remember when I was in school and we had to watch a movie for class, we turned out the lights all the kids noticed that my shoes were glowing the dark.

  • they should have stopped after police academy 3, the rest were more idiotic than funny.

get three dinosaurs and win what exactly? I never understood that

I miss keds I'm on converse chuck taylors now.

  • 1:04...Tabletop Curling!

  • I remember seeing that sliders commercial as a kid and thinking it looked boring. There's some thing even advertising can't make a kid want.

  • Wonder if that Lucky Charms commercial was the beginning of using minorities for cartoon characters? Aka...the girl.

  • damn i was born in 92 so some 80s commercials were there but the first one with them boys had some 80s looks damn clothes change fast!

  • Funny how the "bad guys" in the 80's were always Russian and now they're always Middle Eastern. Think the current events of the times have anything to do with that? lol

  • my fav so far! between the ducktales bumpers, penny racers, and dino chef boyardee I was a kid again for a solid 9min

  • "YOU ALRIGHT...I LEARNED IT FROM WATCHING YOU!!!!!" Classic commercial!!

  • Hey we had those sliders thing for a while in Canada. Though we call it Curling.

  • Now Dinosaurs WITH MEATBALLS!

  • Is Dr Larry Sweet an actor? Or is he as they say, a real doctor?

  • @srkh28 If you search "Dr. Larry Sweet" on google, the fourth result is for a Dr. Lawrence D Sweet, MD, who practices neonatal-perinatal medicine at Kaiser Permanente in San Diego. Almost certainly the same guy.

Most testimonials in commercials come from paid actors, but when they list credentials like "Pediatrician"...they're probably not lying.

  • The drug dad wanted his kid's dealers' digits.... for himself. haha

Seriously though, Thanks 80sCommercialVault. I was born in 89, but can't get enough of these ads!

  • Jim Rogers looks 12 years old.

  • 7:00 Dino Ryders... where the fuck is my time machine?

  • 2:36

I always looked forward to this commercial whenever I watch a show.

21 years later and the song is still catchy!

  • the drugs ad is funny lol

    haha

  • 80's Commercials on KTVU? Man, you're almost reducing me to tears...

  • I love the 80s commercial for Chef Boyardee dinosaur pasta where the kids are hunting for dinosaurs and find them dancing around a volcano. I have to admit though that that tomato and cheese sauce tastes a bit wierd, though not terrible in my opinion.

  • Keds and Nordstrom don't seem to go together.

  • those sliders remind me of that sport where one guy threw a thing that looked like that and the other pushed a broom in front of it. Anyone know what im talking about?

  • Curling.

  • That KEDS commercial ripped-off a DEVO song

  • the sliders commercial reminds me of the modern day bakugan commercials. I

also found the Keds commercial very creepy.

  • lol at being spied on by the Russians in the Tyco commercial! Typical 80's paranoia.

  • GOD I miss Skyhawk.

  • Lmao at Jim ROgers

  • Smooth move from mini Tom Hanks at 1:23

  • These are fantastic! Brings me back to better times.

Thanks for the great memories 80sCommercialVault

  • Amen!

  • i have the donald train why would i have that if i was born in 94? i guess someone gave it to me....

  • In that Anti-Drug PSA, I think it would have been perfectly fitting if that kid had added a "Duh!" after "I learned it by watching you!"

  • Fruity Pebbles aren't that different tasting from Trix if you've had that.

  • these commericals always put a smile on my face, some one should make an tv chaneel that plays nothing but 80s tv show all day long and for commerical break just play the 80s commericals (it won't happen but nice to dream any way)

  • I totally agree with you. (there's the Boomerang channel that plays shows from the 80s'.)

  • Turbo Trickers was cool. But when I was growing up they had something called Penny Racers.

  • omg i remember these!!!!

  • Wait...So your saying that Donald duck doesn't drive a car,but a fucking train?!

    That's hardcore,man.

  • There's an awesome Donald Duck/Chip 'n Dale cartoon called "Out of Scale" that features Donald's large-scale model railroad. The happy meal toy was likely based partially on that.

  • Boy, I never had a doctor that really treated his or her patients that nice.

  • YES u are! Fruity r pebbles r the best!

  • "19. Fruity Pebbles (I've actually never had these. Am I missing much?)"

The only way I can possibly answer your question is with a question of my own: What kind of 80's enthusiast are you?! You've NEVER had Fruity Pebbles?! The first chance you get after seeing this comment, take your ass to the grocery store and BUY SOME! It's one of the best cereals ever.

  • Man, that Dinosaurs pasta contest was impossible-- did anyone ever get all three shapes on their spoon at all? I sure didn't! What was the prize?

  • I remember the Dinosaurs soup commercial; they no longer make them as good as them. And DuckTales rocks.

  • I was born 2 months before this aired.

  • "I learned it by watching you!" Apple doesn't fall far from the tree, I guess....

  • One of the classic PSA's of the day. Maybe it's just me, but judging by the dad's eyes, he looked like he'd just finished puffing on a joint before bitching at his kid.

  • sliders couldn't you just do that with almost anything?

Lmao Dino riders, sounds like trojan man

  • March '89 is the month I was born!

  • So THAT"s where somebody got me my 4-leaf clover charm with my name on it? With proofs of purchase from a Lucky Charms.

  • Jim Rogers!!!!!

  • 3:59 is like a Turbo Tricksters technique

  • Do they still have Daffodil Day? I remember when I was a grammar school and we would buy them

  • in NZ we still have it

  • I remember that pot PSA!! God, so much teen angst! "...I learned it by watching you!!!!"

  • so fuckin classic

  • Sliders looks like curling.

  • Dino-Riders = FUCKING EPIC.

  • 6:56, the melody sounds like Billy Joel's "Careless Talk"

  • wow @ 3:56.of all the happy meal toys I've had i remember these vividly.

  • same here, weird lol

  • LOVE Fruity Pebbles....sugary goodness

  • Haha, dude Jim Rogers still runs those cheesy ass lawyer ads on Bay Area TVs today. He doesnt even bother updating them.

  • yeah, i was gonna say...i just saw one of those a year or so ago and he didn't look any older lol

  • Although I was only 4 in 1989, I remember those Slider Toys. I wish Fruity Pebbles and Chef Boyardee came in the same packaging. They looked cooler back then! By the way, I love Fruity Pebbles!

  • Great stuff! lol

  • About the Fruity Pebbles....

No you didn't miss much at all. I remember they got soggy VERY quickly.

And I NEVER thought I would see that Keds commercial again. That tune got stuck in my head.

  • Fruit Pebbles always leave a nasty aftertaste (at least with me).

  • I miss them. Not as much as the original trix pebbles cerial. But I prefered the pebbles over froot loops

  • Watching all these classic cartoons (I remember the Woody Woodpecker and Ducktales bumpers) and seeing the Rescuers... ah, memories. I think 1989-1992 were the greatest years to be a kid (I mean Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Genesis, great movies, Ninja Turtles, the Disney Afternoon, Disney's 2nd renaissance, WB TV animation... it was the bomb!) I feel so grateful to be fortunate enough to have been a kid in that era.

  • @ReijiThePhantom Those Ducktales bumpers brought a tear to my eye. I miss the 80s!

  • OMG that anti drug ad is HILARIOUS!!!!

  • 1. Were sliders a failed attempt at introducing curling to American kids?

    2. Keds and Devo, nice!

  • LOL Chef Boyardee had little contests in thier pastas ( Collect all three and win!) X's and O's had the same thing.

  • Oh my sweet lord, some deeply buried chord in me was struck by that Chef Boyardee Dinosaur commercial. The kid in it has my hat too! Holy cats, I feel awesome right now.

That Pampers commercial is almost identical to #5 in Vol. 5.

I had every single Dinorider toy in that commercial, so 'HA!'

Two amazing volumes in a row, 80sCommercialVault. Great job, but don't get too cocky.

  • wow, think i've seen all of these, crazy nostalgic

  • i like the ducktales commercial bumpers

  • omg i forgot about the woody wood pecker show. cool

  • Sweet, always look forward to the next one. Thanks!!

  • holy cow what a long commercial break

  • They're edited together.

    :/

  • Yep, of course they're all edited together. Using like 3-4 commercial breaks on each programme, I doubt they'd be this long. ;3 (Well, that's what I got anyway, if I'm wrong...well, I'm British so slap my face with a really fat fish if I'm wrong)

On that subject though, Spanish TV commercial breaks actually *are* this long! Not kidding, 10 minutes of commercials...been there myself, it was surprising. XD

  • This really makes me want to watch Ducktales...

Turbo Tricksters? Those look like "penny racers" to me... are they the same thing with a different name?

Still have a number of those "Mickey's Birthday" toys lost in storage somewhere.

Also yes, you are missing much. Try Fruity Pebbles.

  • I also still have my goofy sportscar from mcdonalds.

  • If you have Dish Network, you can still get all the great old cartoons, they are practically all owned by turner broadcasting now. At least all of the Hannah Barbera era. You would have to upgrade to the family package. They are all on the Boomerang Channel, sister channel to Cartoon Network, also Nickelodeon Gas is another great channel for 90's kids game shows! Check them out.

  • How have you never had Fruity Pebbles?

  • Cocoa Pebbles just always looked more delicious.

  • Acutally, Fruity Pebbles aren't bad. But Cocoa Pebbles are very appetizing, though.

  • 8:13. Thats 6 4s, & then a 1. That made me hahahaha so hard. Those Ducktales promo's really take me back. I know they ran into the early to mid 90s cuz I clearly remember them. I loved Chef Boyardee. Ive been eating those cans since age 1 so Ive probably ate Dinosaurs at that time.
