The way I see people drive hybrid cars to make up for the power they lack around town creates far more harmful greenhouse gasses than any V8. Another fact is that hybrid cars are impossible to work on yourself ( without a myriad of tools and dynometer computers) so people choose neglect to maintain them due to the maintenance cost to go to a qualified mechanic.
hybrids are a lousy excuse for a solution. in europe a voltswagon sedan with a turbodeisel gets 50mpg, yet a prius which is smaller and has two drives systems gets 45?
Haha i agree with tahoe... the world is ultimately screwed. plus we still have enough oil left that if u had a child right now they would be able to drive a tahoe their whole life. ever heard of canadian oil sands? and about oil prices... they are predicted to go down more than up so we may hit $5 a gallon but then it will rapidly drop to about $3 a gallon. Being in the oil business helps with these things.anyways... there was a great thats what she said at about 23 seconds into the video.
nah the world will be alright it's basicly a cycle just sped up by increased polution. people need to stop being so afraid and just adapt. whats going to happen is going to happen stop trying to control it. Also I've had my Tahoe for 11 years it looks good and runs even better, you may like your bike but i got a 35 mi commute so you can take that bike elsewhere I'll stay with my enviromentaly unfriendly but reliable Chevrolet Tahoe.
Horses and bikes will be the transportation of the future. We are soon may find ourselves living as they did in the past where small communities had stores close at hand and you did not venture far from your own community. Either that or we are head toward Communes as they had in the 60's.

lets say we all went car free, you had a heart attack and the hospital is 30 min away BY CAR, but since were car free yo probably die becasue the medics have to ride a bike because idiots like you want us to live car free.

The issue is using the right vehicle for the need. You really need a Tahoe to go to the post office? It's kind of like driving a screw into wood using a sledge hammer.
Of course cities need trucks, trains etc. If people rode bicycles, heart attacks would be much more rare, and streets would be so clear that the ambulance could get to the hospital in only 20 minutes.
I love this world and will try to protect it from those who unthinkingly destroy it for their temporary gain.
i use it all them all the time, even to get to my parents house which is a mile away, i could care less, i can afford the gas, thats all that matters to me. no its not temporary gain. lus im not one of those "simple" people, i love gadgets and my house is filled with them, makes life a lot easier because stuff does things for me.

True patriots care about their fellow countryman, so take that yellow ribbon which is undoubtedly plastered on your car and shove it up your ass. And this is coming from a guy in armed forces. Yep. Dispose of your income because that makes you a better person than someone else. Gas isn't going to stop going up in price. Resell values are dropping through the floor on inefficient vehicles. Neither of the trends will stop.
Some of us have futures to live for so we don't burn our money in the tank of a car. Good luck retiring considering what we're due for economically speaking.

Tahoes Kick Ass! Why target the full size SUV that actually gets reasonable MPG? Target the Ford Expedition and Excursion.
I own a 2008 Tahoe and use it to haul everyday, perhaps you should suggest a vehicle that can replace its capabilities?
