See those Cool effects when minimizing/restoring/maximizing windows? Yup, that's right! Yet another Ripoff from Linux (Compiz Fusion) from Microsoft.
It's pretty obvious they need to do whatever they can to prevent people going over to Linux (wich has accelerated over the past year)so now they give the people what they want...Cool effects that already exist on the Linux Desktop.
Way to go Microsoft! And this has happened before. Windows 1.1 is actually a ripoff from Amiga workbench 1.1.
i liked windows 98, doesnt ask me if i want to allow myself to breathe or not... does not ask me if its okay to open this or close that or this or that...
Its not confusing really, but it IS pretty much a rip off of KDE4's desktop panel. I've noticed in the latest builds they are finally changing the widget theme, and well they should because the old one was not to subtle about where they copied it from... KDE4 again...
If Microsoft can only copy what others are doing, from Apple to Google to one of the leading Linux desktops then you might want to ask yourself, "why would I want to use a second rate rip off job when I can use the real thing ?"
yea, well i'm just going to stick with my stable, secure, powerful OS X operating system. the hardware as well as the software is simply amazing. in the event of something braking, you go to one place (apple). and everyday software support and integration grows, especially since the younger generations seems to be embracing the platform.
i screwed up the taskbar in windows 7, i wish you didnt need an activation code to send feedback, found a few bugs but i was generally surprised how stable it was, not one crash, everything was very fast, i was impressed, especially since its only a pre-beta
They made a whole new windows version for some crappy "effects" and tablet drivers?! I just hope that DX9 will be implemented on Linux faster so I can leave my crappy XP :( .
A lot of work has to be done on Windows Seven. Windows Vista is only just getting on its feet after SP1 and the fact that its been out a while and supports more software and hardware and I think Microsoft should just keep going with that rather than making this new OS which is basically the same thing and anything different about it will be possible by customizing Vista. At least make it worth while.Make a BIG difference.
Meh... You'd think that with all the cash and talent they have, MS would've had the best OS by now. What's with the Vista fiasco? If they weren't a monopoly they might have a better OS.

LOL, resorting to even talking about window effects in copying? Retarded.

It's not retarded. It's a fact for those of us who are actually involved with MS. ;)

Thats because they decided they'd better change the theme from earlier builds because it was so blatantly obvious where they'd copied it from...
