The army are not trained to deal with riots. It would of just resulted in people getting badly hurt and then we would have to spend thousands on their health care.

As a londoner I can say I was disgusted with the rioters. There was no reason other than a sick lust for criminal activity. Was so pleased when the normal, everyday people got together to patrol the streets and aid the police. That's what veing British is about, fighting for our cities.

The riots were totally blown out of proportion, especially by the US media! I was in London during the riots very close to where they were going on and there such limited signs of them. I'm not at all saying these riots had a cause, around 2/3 had previous convictions before the riots and just wanted free stuff. I will say these people have been largely ignored by the govt. and their estates have turned into relative slums, so maybe it was inevitable. But again: rioters=dickheads..

The riots were totally blown out of proportion, especially by the US media! I was in London during the riots very close to where they were going on and there such limited signs of them. I'm not at all saying these riots had a cause, around 2/3 had previous convictions before the riots and just wanted free stuff. I will say these people have been largely ignored by the govt. and their estates have turned into relative slums, so maybe it was inevitable. But again: rioters=dickheads..
