  • I have not been able to reply to comments lately...anyone else have this problem. At any rate, I'd say that yes, in an ideal setting a fan cover would not be needed, but imagine a hot night back in the dark 1800's when you wake up in the middle of the night and you get a finger sliced on your way to go take a pee.

  • That is just a beautiful piece of history. But I weep for the long lost era of personal responsibility that such a machine represents. Simply "don't touch" was enough... Awesome!

  • It's connected to standard AC but has a bridge rectifier mounted in-line to convert the power to DC. I never leave it plugged in when not being demonstrated, even with the switch turned off there are many live connections on the motor.
