  • @washingtomdeceit...do the pancreas have mucous cells??

  • @MrDarklord91 Hmmmmmm. doesn't look like there are many mucous producing cells to me, but remember, pancreatic secretion itself is mildly alkaline!

  • Thank you very mucb.c. This is very helpful.

  • I LOVE YOU

  • YOUR AMAZING, biggest lifesaver on cells and tissues spot test ever! :D

  • ..."and I thank you very much" as well :)))) You´re amazing!

  • Hehe. Yes! Go figure!

  • is there a Pacinian in the slide??

  • very good but i cant hear the sound the volume is very low.pl correct.

  • You are god!

  • simply superb

  • Dr. You are the best histologist in the world. Thanks for helping me through nursing school.

  • Thanks so much! You literally saved my ass on my latest histotest. I study the international medicine program in Prague at Charles university and unfortunately we have a teacher that probably skipped most of his englishclasses in his youth. He is old as fuck but he really knows his stuff but sometimes his english twist and makes everything sound so much more complicated than it is. Once again, thanks for your easy explanations. Keep up the good work!

  • Thank you for these videos, they are amazing. All of us medical students use them, you are indirectly saving lives.

  • how can you tell the difference of the arteries and veins within the pancreas.

  • UND School of Medicine loves you!

  • i frikin love you!!!

thank you for making these videos. :]

  • "Dr Minarsik, No! i can identify everything, so pls lets move on to the next damn slide!" .. haha! You rock, sir!

  • you r damm too good ....YOU ROCK DR MINARSIK..GOD bless u

  • it's too hard to distinguish between a pancres and a salivary gland :(

  • Dr. Manarsik , i can identify everything! amazing work ! Thank you.

  • all ur slides are soo good! in my college they show these ugly slides in wich u cant even identitfy almost anything, it just looks like a big pink thing with purple dots in it, ur slides are awsome but too bad in the exam they r gonna show us their own slides wich sucks!

but thnkyou doc u have helped me immensley with these very amazing histo videos, may god bless you!

  • hi! I had an histology exam and the professor was quite upset when i said I could see zymogen granules, he said it was not possible, only under EM.

  • Hey! Nice job, and thanx for the videos! Im not sure if you mentioned that pancreas does not have striated ducts. Just wanted to say that so that people could pic it up as well! 1. again nice job! Ceep up the good work!

    thumbs up from Norway! :D

  • I love this series! I'm in the process of recapitulating what I've studied for my exam, and these short videos have been a tremendous help! It's so easy to get a quick overview of what is important and necessary to mention without having to read a huge textbook.

    Thanks Doc!

  • Thanks a lot............. YOU ROCK

  • This guy kicks ass!!!! The ending was hillarious!!!!!

  • he was kind of extra-funny on this one wasnt he?

  • I love these sliodes...they are fantastic! Thank you DR. M! You are really helping a lot of students who struggle with Histo...I wish I had seen these soner.

  • hahaha this is awesome. Your commentary is genius.

  • The subconsious mind is the nerve control center in the pancreas in the pit of the stomach that has the same number of memory cells as one lobule of the consious mind, the brain. They both have the same grey round cells incased. Any addiction is related to the pancreas. Whether it be a drug or food, when the body gets all tensed up the subconscious mind memory cells takes over in the panceas releasing an enzyme that relaxes the body and picks up. Likes and dislikes are all stored in the pancreas

  • DOCTOR ,SIR,IM not quite sure about the duct which come from the acinar cells and the inter lobular duct!

  • Wow...thanx once again for another great tutorial...You're aweseome...I wish teachers like you could be cloned:)

  • great video! There's just one thing I wish you had mentioned in here: Pacinian corpuscles can be found in pancreas as well, which is anoter good way to tell it apart from the parotid gland. maybe there were no corpuscles to point out on this slide though... Anyway, thanks so much for these vids. They saved my life!

  • thanks a million!!! (especially for clearing up the fact that alpha and beta cells are not distinguishable!! *will stop trying to tell them apart now!*

  • Thanks for these videos. They are excellent. So much better than sitting alone at a microscope, trying to get the focus right, and then trying to find something to identify...

  • wow, i wish you were my prof, I would have mastered histo long ago...Thanks a billion for these vids...

  • Wow - so helpful...

    Thanks!

  • Thank you so much for these videos. They have been such a great help. :)

  • Langerhans was a medical student when he noted islands of Langerhans- students today do not have the opportunity to discover new tissues/cells all apparently discovered

  • This is quite possibly the worst panceas i've seen. J/K Thanks!!!!!

  • Wonderful videos.

  • what software are u using????

  • iowa's virtual histology microscope and camstudio to capture sound and video

    jm

  • @WashingtonDeceit You must have a great internet connection because I can never load images from the virtual slide box that fast when I zoom in.

Sending you some thanks from the middle of America! Great Work.

Not only have you helped me to understand what they hell I'm looking at, but now I catch myself saying, "Oh that's a gorgeous artery". My classmates hate me, but I'm getting the grades I want now, thanks to you.

  • I just want to say "and I thank you very much", because I`ve just done the histology final today (identify slides, as u do, and oral because the written was yesterday) and I have to say that you really helped me in this task.

THANK YOU and continue with your simple language.

  • you made my day!!

    wdc

  • i finally found a logical way to study for this class. i am no longer lost. thank you!

  • Complete white spaces are either centers of blood vessels or fat. If the white "space" is surrounded by endothelial cells, it is not fat!

    wdc

  • sorry about all the questions. Are there any other stains (other than H&E) that are useful in identifying structures within the pancreas. for example, a stain that identifies beta cells or alpha cells or others?

  • could it be xylene dissolved fat that is now replaced by wax? Just appears as an empty space?

  • hey doc. What is that white circular structure at 5mins 20, to the left of the beautiful islet of langerhans? Is it a duct or a vessel of some sort? It doesnt have the disctinct cellular stuctures surrounding it. Thanx, Ty

  • Lets move on to the next Damn slide! I love these videos, thank you.
