Buster Brown rocked Cincinnati at Annie's and Never On Sunday, and not often enough! One of my all time favorite bands from back in the day. Will never forget my bf's 25th birthday and neither will Jerri!!! Thanks again, Johnny, for making it extra special.

I was there every Suday night Brown was in Eville at Kramers front and center stage. I remember him playing the bad motor scooter Montrose lead ! I also happened to walk into a club down in Florida one night and they were there. The band that should have made the big time !
@zippy61 I frequented Kramers all the time when they played there, i last talked to john n the band at the Triump concert in Evansville prior to their gig at Funkys 2
I went to Club 69 grew up at Toy Tiger and had been in the Family Dog once in Richmond but mostly went to Phone 3. I followed Fire Dept around alot too. Allen Phelps is still guitaring and Johnny moved back here to Louisville I believe. He was with Foreigner for a bit too way back after Buster Brown. And in July I am going to go to Nashville to see the Scorpions with drummer of Buster Brown James Kottak.
Buster Brown was an awesome band. Saw them often in KY at Club 68, Toy Tiger and Family Dog. Not only was Johnny a great singer, he was also a good guitarist. Anybody remember him doing the lead parts of Bad Motor Scooter from Montrose? Allan Phelps was also a top of the line guitarist. These guys should have went all the way to the top.
is this Kottak on Drums with a mustache. I used to play with Johnny Edwards here in a band called Northrup, out of Sacramento in the late 80's. great singer.
i used to see them at annies in 85-86' practically lived there. they were the best band playing there . lots of sex, drugs , and buster brown Bear from Mt. Carmel (back then)
@FredBGarvin - Bob Koestel, who now resides in Scottsburg, IN with his wife and awesome three kids, was probably the best drummer the region had to offer. Hail to the king of drummers. Rock on Bob
I always caught their act at Annie's in Cincy whenever they were in town. Between them, Spike, and Prizoner, the early to mid 80's were freaking rockin' around here!!!
Unbelievable! After all these years I never, ever thought I would see a video of the Brown again. I was such a huge fan I used to travel three states to see them on weekends. I still have a signed copy of SOV. What memories it brings back. Thanks so much.
I was fortunate to grow up watching great live bands like Buster Brown from Louisville, KY. Head bangin killer sound and great stage presence. No egos or attitudes. Just party and have a good time. That's a Sign of Victory. Thanks again for posting this classic video. Vic
