Kick-ass not only combines Spaghetti western violence, Kung fu, super hero, crime and dark satire, but it also proves how all theses genres can be done as long as there is a good script, which this is. there is a sense of sergio leone, john woo action and stanley kubrick presense in every good scene there is, so this film is just..................KICK-ASS!!!!!!!!!!
here are my fucking top five to all those hollywood dick-faced critics:
5)The Town - 4)Shutter Island(Scorsese RULES!!!) - 3)Inception -
2)Harry brown(didn't came out from where i am from in 2009)
and finally, here it comes.............................................1)KICK-ASS, this is my fucking favourite film of 2010, so fucking kick-ass is kick ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That is so weird. To watch a 'best' list and come to the conclusion you must have been sleeping for a year....... Me sleeping, not you. I have only seen Bastards...on DVD more than a year later. I'm so ashamed.
Whoa Rob, I just found this! It's really well made! I like everything you've done here, the reflection on the monitor makes it look really realistic (but it does show up on the black on the last frame) Did you edit these clips down yourself, or were these straight from the trailers? It looks like something you would see on like a TV best of segment show! It's really top notch, and you picked awesome movies!
@UnityPhreak Thanks Adam! Yeah, I had to edit them down some. Wanted to do something similar for this year and put it on the Rough Cuts, but I think I've run out of time.
Yes, In the Loop is another one of those British films with zero marketing budget that no one went to see. The guy who directed it has been making the best political satire in the UK for the last 30 odd years, he's an absolute legend.
Thanks for your recommendations. I've only seen "Inglourious Basterds" of your picks so far. The meatballs film only hits the cinemas at the end of this month, so I'm gonna check this one out!

Anvil, the Story of Anvil! It's on tv now, actually. Great list. I haven't heard of In the Loop, though, so that's another one I need to find.
Cloudy was my fave book when I was little. The movie changed it quite a bit, but still was great. *^_^*
