  • I do the same thing except I just bought a 99 cent notebook and saved a buck per gun.

  • @williamED15

that's an option, china needs money too, lol

  • that is good to know the person using the firearm.

  • Meebit are you really comparing the free thinking Karl Marx to the monster Joseph Stalin. Karl Marx had ideas of a new type of sosity. His ideas were taking and turned into the communist manifesto by others like Lenin. Marx was from Germany have nothing to do with the evil that followed in Russia. What is evil is the state of our educational system. That is made so apparent by some of these comments. Sorry every one for the rant. Yes log books are a great idea.

  • Great Video

  • These are a good idea, I'll have to pick some up. And on the Nancy Pelosi/Karl Marx quotes, I'll just say this: just because someone is evil does not mean that they don't have a good point from time to time. Furthermore, quoting the evil can have great impact. "The death of one man is a tragedy, the death of millions is a statistic" - Joseph Stalin.

  • @meebit

    thanks, and well said

  • thinks for sharing this, ive been looking for a book like this for awhile

  • @11bravo91

FYI, if you want these and your local stores don't have them, they sell direct from their website

  • I just use an excel spreadsheet

  • I'm unsubscribing, on the basis of your quoting Nancy Pelosi. What the hell were you thinking when you were editing this video? It's worse than when you quoted Karl Marx!

  • @evildude109

    awesome, I could care less

no one is going to tell us what to do in a video..

and if you can't handle a few words then we wouldn't want you around here anyway

  • @evildude109 Whats wrong with Karl Marx, not bourgeois enough for you?

  • @evildude109 Karl Marx was one of the most important intellectuals in the the last 250 years, you should actually read his work instead of buying the propoganda you hear on faux, I mean fox news.

  • I'm trying to get caught up on my video watching....LOL. I've got a log for my brass and a different type of log than yours for the range. I downloaded them from a site in PDF, they are not in a book like that, they're loose leaf. I like everything for the gun in one book, that's a good idea. That was some good info, thanks for sharing. Take Care :-))

  • this seams great for technicians or gunsmiths, military or civilian or perhaps swat team or any military type person who likes to keep there equipment immaculate

  • @wepntech

I don't know about immaculate, but in good working order, preventive maintenance, replace springs, etc

  • Why would you need these records ? The only firearm records I have involve what guns I own and the serial numbers in case of theft.

  • @quimbyt

Well as I mentioned.. when a machine is going to be run a lot, it's a good idea to track when to maintain it..

We have an odometer in the car so we know when to change oil right?

Sure you don't HAVE to change oil, but people who do usually get a lot moe life out of their cars as well as better reliability (car will work when needed)

  • I do not really keep good track of that. Most of my weapons have been dragged though war zones and whatnot, and many are around 100 years old, so most of them have an uncountable amount of rounds though them already before I was even born. I just keep a good eye on any wear. I have an AK around here someplace that was made in the 50s and is on its...4th barrel maybe. Most likely has 5 to 6 digit round count.

  • @Jesses001

I agree, but I figured a new AR build like this would be a good choice for keeping a long (or try to)

  • I should probably start doing that........

  • Nice video.....So Tango down only allows us to own 5 umm Kidding.....I could just feel the guide rod spring going bad back in the day. Or just wait until the weapon malfunctions a lot.

  • I just scratch kills into my stock HA!

  • On some of my firearms I keep a round count in my cell phone because thats what ballers do yo!

  • I do the exact same thing on my PC. I keep a document file with how many rounds, total rounds, what brand/type of ammo fired that day, remarks and observations, etc and update it every time I fire my guns. It's amazing how much info you can gather using this method. Definitely helps with maintenance and training.

  • Good info, I have a Excel sheet for each of my guns that I keep track of rounds fired and the date. Are those books made in China? The horizontal line alignment from page to page is awful.

  • @biguy525

    that is a tactical offset

  • @GunWebsites best reply ever!

  • I'm such a slacker,i now know this after watching this video.

  • I have before with a crew served weapon and see the reason why for maintaining, but not any of mine own. Need to start just so i know

  • Nice I would want it bigger though. The Remarks section is small. It wouldn't be a bad idea especially for something for self defense.

  • @Mrcaffinebean

a lot of guys just use a spiral notebook, so get the size you think will work for you.. these are small to keep with you (I assume)

  • hey gun websites, could u guys do a AK build video like u did on the AR? that would be cool!

  • @godzilla1463

not really, it's not at all the same, but we'll do something.. we get a lot of requests

  • kind of like davesantos said in his comment I fully break down my gun after every use. I clean, oil, and functions check it before putting it away, because "Even as I type my enemy is cleaning, trainning, and prepairing". lol quote from my friend cody (sfod-dealt).

  • OMG, Nancy Pelosi, you just ruined my night :)

  • @ArtisanTony

    hehehehehehe

  • Comment.

  • GW's weapon record books would have to be about the size of ROOTS

  • @iLoveMyGun89

We keep them on microfish so we only need one wing of the compound to house them

  • Pretty cool,and there affordable.

  • It seems like a lot of work lol I pretty much check out my firearms every time I clean them. I clean them pretty much every time I come back from the range. I think it is a OCD thing LOL I don't think the book is for me.

  • @davesantos1

I guess it depends on how you shoot

for a glock or a range gun I would agree.. but for a class gun (which will get a lot of use) or a precision rifle, I can see these being very useful

  • @GunWebsites I can see your point. Maybe I should get one for my AR.

  • ★★★★★

  • first lolwut
