Nowadays you can't call a spade a spade, unless it's degrading the English or French. Today comedians are too busy licking corporate arse to say what they really want.
yeah but i cant find the spike milligan interview ( i think james coburn is on that show) in whcih milligan breaks down into tears of laughter trying to relate an anecdote about someone who suffered fom the shits on a journey home

Amazing raconteur and wit.
Stephen Fry is probably his nearest "descendent" these days. Hilarious and erudite, but maybe without the acid edge to him.
Funny how Times Square was then described as "seedy" and dodgy, whereas now it's about as edgy as visiting Disneyland on a Sunday afternoon.
