But I play just about every DMB song on guitar with this one easily being my favorite (I'm sure my friends are sick of me playing it around them), and I can assure you that this is really one of the simpl*er* ones in terms of chords.

@cant3flip Yes, music is a huge passion of mine so when I said I "play" just about every song, I mean I play AND sing just about every DMB song. Do you play? If so, you should try learning this one. It's incredibly fun, it's really not as hard as you might think (there are just 3 sections that repeat), and if you watch his solo performance of the song on the Charlie Rose show, it's easy enough to figure out the chords.

it's interesting how the live "jamband" version covers the solo acoustic sound of the song. It loses quite a bit of the remorseful sounding harmonies. i definitely like the acoustic version, but it's also great live, two very different ways of expressing the song. go dave!
