Looking for one of these to use as a portable/emergency power supply to run Ham Radio gear - think they'd be quiet enough so the engine noise doesn't interfere with radio communications? How stable is the power?
UPDATE on the HONDA! We used this in New Mexico during the extreme cold and power outage.. Started right up in MINUS 12 degrees F. NO problems with "Gennie" We LOVE her and she is perfect for camping when there is no electricity!
We are using it right now while camping-running a heater in the trailer, lights and 2 laptops. We are at a higher altitude which uses gas faster. A tank lasted us 10 hours, heating the whole night last night. The tank holds one gallon. Great little generator! Energy saving lightbulbs are highly recommended too as this puts very little pull on the generator.
How long does a full tank last? How many liters? Considering this as a camping generator. The size is perfect for my Kubota RTV1100, along with all my other things.
yeah mine is a bit loud but then he's got it on full throttle with Eco off though I find running it on Eco mode chokes it down to stall point & I heard it gums up the valves so wide open is tey way to go!
I agree--it is not as loud as this makes it sound. The voice recording was not really close to the camera as it was being taped. We LOVE this generator--EXCELLENT PURCHASE!!
I have two of these with the dual extended run fuel tank & the parallel kit wired into a transfer panel to feed my house during power outages. These things run the water pump, 9000btu split air conditioner system, wireless router, wireless modem, laptop, 19" TV, satellite receiver, cell phone, refrigerator, washing machine as well as a pair of stand up 18" fans. It does all of this without breaking a sweat, the Eco mode keeps thing quiet with extra long run times. Great little generators.

I think there is no doubt the Honda generators are the best gas generators
made. It is sad they are so overpriced, that is the only thing that keeps
most people from buying them.

I LOVE generators!
Grew up with them as we had both a Briggs & straton and a Honda 1000EX.
We used them during our holiday in Morocco in a small village with no electricity.

We're thinking of getting one of these for field shooting when we need to power a light for filming. This could be an awesome idea.

This video makes the generator seem louder then it really is though.
